Last night Yahoo! premiered its new Screen Comedy Channel with the promise of more big names coming soon. Which comedian did Yahoo! choose to kick start its online streaming series? HBO's resident liberal Bill Maher. During the show, though missing from Yahoo!’s posted version, Maher presented the Obama...

Yes.
Barry's "inner inadequacies" were evident to thinking Americans long ago and they're becoming more and more apparent to the rest of the country who voted him in each time he is cornered into a position of having to telling the truth, answering a direct question, or offering a sensible solution to a problem.
Thank you, Brett Baier!
Thank you, John Voight!
Correction: "…of having to TELL the truth,…"
Awesome! Wish I could have made that trip! Anyone know how many showed up?
Another stemwinder by Jon Voight! Thank you, Mr. Voight. You are truly a great American! We have much work to do between now and November and we will work tirelessly to preserve our Republic for future generations.
Bravo! Thank you Jon and thank you to the thousands of Americans who joined you in Washington today. Millions were there with you in spirit, I'm sure.
This thing is far from over…
God Bless America.
Jon, saw you speak live. Great speech. Thanks to the organizers who pulled this event together at the last minute. We have to fight for what is right and keep fighting no matter how the vote comes out tomorrow.
That's what we have as president: an inadequacy!
Jon, watched your speech at the rally on the internet. Wish I could have been there. You are a great American and so are all those that were able to make the trip. I understand they are surrounding the Capitol building now, shouting "Kill the bill!"
I also understand that Nancy Pants may have the votes she needs and Demon Pass has been scrapped.
So it appears that this thing may get passed after all.
But the fight is NOT over.
Let's Roll!
Bravo John….notice the absence of any other Hollywood star…startling…They are all a bunch of liberal neocons. I despise them and all their holier than thou statements about the "little people". I believe this vote will come and bite all these congressmen in the butt…They are going to be thrown out of office…This bill will be fought in the courts for years. It is unconstitutional and they all know it, but they are falling on their swords for this President who would throw them under the bus in a NY minute. So John you proved your patriotism today and we as Americans are proud of you and all the people who protested today. This is a disgrace to our Constitution and our Declaration of Independence and our Bill of Rights…They trampled on them and are using them as toilet paper…Obama, Pelosi and Reid don't care about the American people…all they care is about the agenda to make our country a banana republic and a socialist government….so stay tuned folks…this is just the beginning.
Jon needs to run for some kind of office. I don't care if it's for the senate, house or the presidency this man needs to make a campaign yesterday.
I love ya Jon, but the video won't load. Sorry, I'll be back later. Infinite life to you dear man. You are everything we need, courage under the oppression of tyranny. Infinite law of life thanks you.
Thank you Jon, you are a true patriot. Liberty and freedom will always be worth fighting for.
I wish the "birther" whack jobs would realize how much they're helping Obama with their asinine "Barry" talk.
The man was born Barack Hussein Obama II in Hawaii. Let's not help him distract people from the facts with extremist nonsense that makes those of us who oppose him all look like nut cases.
"We are here today to try to reach not only the American people but also our Congressman and Senators who are being bullied and bribed." True. It takes courage to tell the truth.
Jon Voight a Damn Fine Actor but much more important a Great American. We Have Not Yet Begun to Fight.
He won't be a "one term President" as long as there is no viable conservative candidate to run against him. And by "conservative" I don't mean Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney.
According to Fox: 25,000
According to MSNBC: A little over 13, and they were all wearing white hoods and swastikas.
I thought I would forward a few comments from the e-mail I received from my congressmen today. I was not aware of the first one. From Rep. John Campbell: (his words, not mine)
Under this bill, about 9.5 million veterans who get their health insurance from the vets TriCare system, will be fined annually because that coverage does not meet the standards set out in the bill. Great, we’re going to fine veterans for having veteran’s coverage….How does that make sense?
I was in the elevator on my way to a vote today with a few other Democrat and Republican Members of Congress. In talking about the protestors outside, one of the Democrats remarked “did you see all those nutcases outside?” The blood was rising up my cheeks. But before I had time to explode, one of my Republican colleagues remarked “You have it wrong. The nutcases are here in Congress and at the White House. That’s America outside.”
Truer words were never spoken. Don’t give up America. The battle is still engaged.
Classic! LOL White hoods and swastikas! Thanks…can't seem to get a number anywhere….and the last time (9/12), I noticed a drastic "misunderestimation" of the numbers.
Thanks to Jon, Rep. Bachmann, and all the other liberty loving Americans who went. Unfortunately, I have little hope that this destructive bill can be stopped as the ends justify the means for these Marxists. I will be relentless in my efforts to defy the bastards.
Thank you Mr. Voight!
No joke: I just read an AP report that said there was "no official number – but at least hundreds" of protesters, and that "some among the crowd" chanted the N-word "15 times". So apparently, they can get an exact number of how many times the "n-word" was chanted – but how many people chanted it, or how many many were in attendance, is anybody's guess.
I tend to agree with you. They both have much to offer perhaps in an appropriate cabinet position, but I don't see either being able to get elected. Hopefully, we will have better choices in 2012 than we had last time with McCain. I'm getting tired of voting for the "lesser of 2 evils", as the saying goes. (Don't mean to infer either are evil as they are both good people – just not POTUS material for what we need now.)
I wish I could have been there. I loved Brett Bair making mince meat out of Obama
the only candidate worth voting for is Ron Paul. I think he could win it this time…and Peter Schiff for VP
Hey man you really need to read up on what is happening. You are soo clueless. Read these sites and educate yourself unless you are a paid Obmama/soros push around.

Back it up with a link or facts bub.
Great cartoon on "Obama's Vision" that show this at http://drawfortruth.wordpress.com/category/obama/
I have a great deal of respect for Mr. Paul. He has always been a man of his convictions and has never wavered. But, I don't think he could ever be elected. However, like Sarah & Mitt, I think he would be an asset to the next Admin. focused on reducing the big government we are seeing today. Hey… maybe he could be the small gov Czar! I don't know anything about Mr. Schiff, so I have no opinion on that point. If he's good, let's hear more.
Obama has been a persona non grata since ever so nothing is new when folks choose to pick on him huh?
It's part of Presidentialism that the President has got to move mountains to get some things done… it's built into the system that had Bush in command a little while ago. Surprised yet that Obama can't be a king and has got to get his hands dirtier? Surprised yet that if you can't stand Obama you will despise much of what his Administration has got to do to keep the U.S. healthier? I mean, anywhere you look you see Obama, that can't be good to your own health but lucky you you have got your health care handy!
Who is going to beat Obama to the Presidency in a few more years? Anyone can do it with the help of the mob and anyone can do better than Obama huh? I mean, if only we can find a son of a former President we would be set!
Jon who?
"Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual)."
-Ann Rand
Ah so it’s only ok for conservative actors to speak their mind? Conservative "PC" ftw…..
Nah its only ok when they agree with what people here already have a bias for…if not they are just vapid actors.
Isn't he the father of some actress that is actually relevant right now?
But what about Chuck Norris? Tom Selleck? Ted Nugent? Gary Sinese? Angie Harmon? Adam Baldwin? Kelsey Grammar? Patricia Heaton? Bruce Willis?
March madness?
didnt go to this one, thumbs up to all you men and women who did….July 4th is coming soon!!
yawn…
the diff. is the liberals who voice themselves are usually either lying, telling you Bush is a dictator and welfare is good for you. They also love to tell you your money is needed elsewhere..crawl back under your rock before someone drops it on you.
liberals like you are douchebags..go play on DU
Well I used an Ann Rand quote to contend my point…
Ayn Rand sorry
democratic underground..where the worms stay
A small group are trying to fundamentally change the country against the will of the people. Since no one can tell us whats in the bill and how much it will cost us, I'd day that small minority has to be stopped. So why would you quote Rand if you disagree with Voight?
and BO said to FOX NEWS the Bill would be online before the vote…another lie by the bullshit artist in chief.
Well we are a republic…aren't we….we aren't a democracy because we couldn't trust the ignorant masses (was Ayn Rand's point).
I went over there for about an hour, right around noon. My best guess was about 25,000. (I was very pleased with my crowd-guestimating skills when I got home and saw that Fox was using the same number).
It was an energetic, but very well-behaved crowd — it was mostly Mr. and Mrs. America and the kids. The only offensive material I saw (posters of O with a Hitler 'stache) was being displayed and distributed by some LaRouche a-holes (who show up at any large gathering in D.C.)
I agree! It's early yet but I like DeMint and Pence for the job, so far. Romney and Palin might good candidates for RNC chair. They certainly couldn't do any worse than Steele.
It's okay for anyone to say anything and for anyone to disagree. If you didn't like what Voight said, disagree.
Just remember everyone. The same predictions were made about Bill Clinton after his socialized healthcare failed. Then the Republicans swept in, in 1994 and did such a good job reviving the economy, Bill Clinton took credit for it and won in 1996.
Believe me, I want Obama to be a one term president, but he isn't defeated UNTIL 2012. Those that assume he's defeated already will relax and let him win just as Bill Clinton shocked all of us by winning again in 1996. Don't assume anything!
Not true. There are some very good people in Congress, but traditionally we elect former governors as Presidents and there is no shortage of good, conservative Republicans. For example, Tim Pawlenty and Mitch Daniels both got elected in states that went for Obama, pushed through conservative reforms, held the line on spending, got a lot of flak for it, didn´t budge and were re-elected. And four years from now we will probably have guys like McDonnell or Jindal in their second terms.
The problem with many "true" conservatives is that they are against anyone who is electable.
.."and the smallest minority on earth is the individual"
Meaning the representatives in congress et al should not be allowed vote away the individuals rights.
Not only is Ron Paul a nutcase who associates with questionable radicals, he is also an ineffectual loudmouth. Anyone can make tough statements from his safe seat. To gover is somewhat harder and Paul never governed a thing. In fact, he refuses to govern. And that´s why he won´t. The sooner we all forget about Ron Paul the better.
Here´s just a quick quote of what Indiana governor Mitch Daniels has done: "During the fat years of the mid-2000s, while most governors went on spending sprees, he was trimming Indiana’s payroll, slowing the state government’s growth, and turning a $800 million deficit into a consistent surplus. Now that times are hard, his fiscal rigor is paying off: the state’s projected budget shortfall for 2011, as a percentage of the budget, is the third-lowest in the country."
What has Ron Paul ever done?
Daniels also gets highest marks from the NRA.
You are incoherent, as one would expect from an Obama drone. Here is just a little reminder: Obama started with sky high approval ratings and massive majorities in both houses. He pissed all that away to follow his dangerous progressive utopian vision. He broke every campaign promise and continues to lie to everyone. He managed to do that with the fanatical support of the media and all Democrat constituencies. He has shown nothing but contempt for our system, the constitution, the GOP opposition and the American people. Abroad, he has hurt our relationships with allies from the UK to India to Israel, while getting nothing from our opponents.
Bush had a Democratic Senate until 2002 and only small Republican majorities, yet he got all his major policy initiatives passed in the first term, with bipartisan support. And he did not, in fact, shred the constitution to do it. Abroad, he brought about historic positive change in the Middle East, fought AIDS in Africa, improved our relationship with up-and-coming powers like India and got along with all relevant foreign leaders after Chirac and Schroeder left office. And all of it with great humility and respect for his office.
What is DU…I don't like to talk to people that agree with me…its boring.
And we are not a Soviet Republic because we cannot trust the planners, who never turn out to be as enlightened as they think they are.
As a conservative, I´m not a follower of Ayn Rand. Because Rand never got that right.
Yes, exactly. We like people who agree with us. Imagine that. It´s called freedom.
"PC" is something entirely different, by the way, namely an Orwellian enforced manipulation of languge to serve totalitarian ends. But you never really thought about that, or anything.
Excellent stuff!
John Voight is a wonderful man and a great actor. I have always enjoyed his acting skills, especially as a minor character actor in "Hour of the Gun," "Midnight Cowboy," "Gunsmoke," "24" and so many others.
He is the exception to the rule that the horse hockey puck never falls far from the horse's patootie. In his case it fell very far away. Very far away, and it's sad.
God Bless John, and Kudos — a true American Hero and lover of the Constitution and all it stands for.
Obama, Pelosi and Reid are doing their best to turn the United States into a Banana Republic. And you can quote me on that.
Well written sir. Nice gift you've got. You could probably argue in favor of Obama just as well if you were motivated to do so. Luckily for Obama, he has got people who do support him that can be much more coherent and skilled than me so he will do alright in 4 or 8 years of Government and then hand over to whomever gets the responsiblity next, be it a Republican or Democratic!
Bush did an impressive job in many ways didn't he? Too bad Bush got only daughters otherwise we would have a heck of a lineage for some next President! Of course, a woman President could just be what the doctor ordered with or without universal health care!
I agree there is no ground for complacency whatsover.
Don´t forget one thing, though. Clinton was liberal and had his character issues, but he was also an experienced politician – tempered by being a two-term governor – who was ready to work with a Republican Congress. He liked being President of the US.
Obama is a blinkered ideologue who got straight into the Presidency. He is embarked on a progressive war. He is not learning from his experiences, thinking that he is this great gift to all of us. I fact, he doesn´t give a damn about actually governing well. That is a huge difference. I´m not so much worried about a second term, I´m worried about the damage he will have done by 2012.
You want to see the future?

Yeah, you just follow der Fuehrer.
You want to see the future?
http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=MjJmMzA5...
Yeah, you just follow der Fuehrer.
Who's Barry?
So does that mean there were about 12,500?
But ramming through a massive, ruinous health care bill that will in effect nationalize a large chunk of the economy with no open debate, dubious maneuvers and vote buying, on a strictly partisan vote is ok … because Bush was the son of a President. Hey presto!
*And because it will make us "healthier" … except in the head apparently.
Thanks for the info…this morning, I was able to get that info…looks like 25K it is!
Not exactly. I meant it as a way ot reckonizing that during one's education in the U.S. there are classes that look to teach people into arguing the different points of view about some issue with great expertise and I also paid tribute to the person for his demonstrated skill of arguing one point of view fairly well. He could have said, for instance, that comparing Bush's 8 years of Presidency to Obama's 1 year and a half and given the different contexts was not exactly optimum, but Obama could have overshoot by trying to go for a difficult issue regarding health care at the earlier days of his Presidency and that most Presidents before him failed to advance much in that regard so it was a risky and perhaps arrogant thing of him to try to do that with a great deal of success… Spending the good will of a new Presidency in a bad way kind of thing!
Cheers.
Considering that everybody's supposed to hate the bill, 25,000 people isn't very much, espectially for a Saturday.
Look, this isn´t a game or a sports event. Nor is it about reform vs. no reform. I´m ok with reform. This is bad reform. It is a bad bill. If the Democrats were even interested in having better, affordable healthcare, they would have picked the low hanging fruits first. But their real intention is to extend the reach of the federal government and bureaucracy over a sizeable part of the economy – which may even be unconstitutional, but has in any case nothing to do with better health care outcomes.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/arti...
The Democrats have over the last 30 years become the party of government. Government without limits, for its own sake, without regard to outcome. It´s all politics, all the time. If the market fails: more government. If the government fails – as it usually does: more government.
We already know from history where this ends; permanent higher unemployment is only the first sign.
Pretty good turnout, actually. Most of the crowd was from out of town, making their way to D.C. on their own dime. Think of all the other things people need or want to do on a Saturday.
Also, think about this: how many people showed up to rally in FAVOR of healthcare reform?
The politics may be bad, but that is their problem. The policies are worse and they are our problem.
Why would I quote you of all people?
Once government manages your health care, what will they not manage? Once you start eating or doing things that cost to much, that will have to be regulated, too. Until nothing is left. All for your own good.
To quote de Tocqueville: "That power is absolute, minute, regular, provident, and mild. It would be like the authority of a parent, if, like that authority, its object was to prepare men for manhood; but it seeks on the contrary to keep them in perpetual childhood [...] It covers the surface of society with a net-work of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which not even the most original minds and most vigorous souls can poke their heads above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided: men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting: such a power does not destroy, but it prevents things from coming into being; it does not tyrannize, but it inhibits, represses, saps, stifles, and stultifies, and in the end it reduces each nation to nothing but a flock of timid and industrious animals, with the government as its shepherd."
Published in 1840.
Exactly. "Individual rights" not collective Minority. We keep thinking of these special interest groups as minotities, but it is the individual who is the true minority. Public health care is all about protecting a collective at the expense of the individual. This is EXACTLY why we don't want it.
Please America, vote out every m….f….who voted 'yes' on the abomination of a bill.
No, it is not ironic. It doesn´t change the fact that political correctness is both Orwellian and of the left.
Whatever Orwell´s personal politics were – and life experience had him moving away from the left – the fact is that politically correct speech codes are closely related to "newspeak" and are exactly what he warned us of in "1984". Having to acknowledge something you know isn´t true – and to be unable to state an obvious truth – is the essence of both.
What is ironic is that you talk about Orwell while ignoring the obvious point of my comment and giving me a wholly unrelated party line argument.
Why would you quote Ayn Rand?
Shouldn't this rally have happened Sunday, when they're actually voting on this?
My point is you haven't proved yourself to be particularly intelligent, so why would I quote you?
Ayn Rand, to a lot of conservatives, IS an authority. I remember Glenn Beck talking about Atlas Shrugged on his show as if it was the Bible. I'm just trying to point out her beliefs probably don't line up with American "conservatives" as directly as people think. For example, Rand was perhaps more of an atheist than I am.
I talked about Orwell because you didn't seem to know what he books were about. He was a socialist and his books were against totalitarianism.
As far as "PC" goes…I find it "fucking retarded" how much people care about that crap.
The MSM and the White House are the only reasons birthers get any publicity, just as the 9/11 truthers got covered up by the same group.
Standard White House media strategy. The opposition is going to hit them, and they know it. So they seize the most outlandish argument, and make that the central theme, and use it to discredit any disagreement.
In other words, as long as the are idiots like MSNBC, they will never stop this story. It saves them time and fills the air.
Wasn't he the guy who did the voice for Chef on South Park?
There was also at least two other protests scheduled for the same time. A pro-immigration rally and an anti-war rally.
I have no doubt they were scheduled in order to provide a news black out on the event.
Elected offices are for public servants. I think he's doing just fine demanding that the servants of We The People do just that.
I agree Ron Paul is one of the very, very few people in DC with any type of moral compass, but I don't think he could ever get elected nation wide.
And what a sad case it is when the only nationally recognized politician who actually abides the US constitution and his oath of office doesn't stand a chance in a nation wide election.
But Ron Paul is serving a greater good. He's explaining and showing that real, true American ideals still exist and will work the way the founding father's wished, if only we would do the work to follow their lead.
Ron Paul is setting an example for future generations. I followed his primary campaign extensilvey through Reason magazine and Reason.com.
He's doing a hell of a job too. Who would have thought that in modern America, any one could even hold a conversation on the Federal Reserve, much less draw a rousing audience from people who understand it, and want it to end?
We shall reap what we sow, and Ron Paul and his followers are sowing so that we may reap in the future.
How about never violating his oath to protect and uphold the constitution?
Ron Paul has never voted for an ear mark for anyone. He's never voted for any bill that violates the constitution. Every session of Congress that he belongs, he submits a bill requiring any new legislation submitted to the house clearly state exactly how it is constitutional. And he's been submitting bills to force the Federal Reserve to open their books to We The People.
If that makes him nuts in your book, enter my name on the same page.
Which is why at this point, I still don't consider myself a conservative.
Some things are non-negotiable to me. And the US Constitution is one of them. If a politician refuses to uphold it, I refuse to vote for them, period.
Sleep with snakes, you're going to get bit by one. It's their nature, and we know that going in.
The current health care reform bill will do nothing to make America healthier, and will in fact have the exact opposite effect.
Exploding deficits will force repeated cuts to not only Medicare and Medicaid but also to what ever monstrous bureaucracy is put in place.
Its going to result in a stratified two tier medical system. Those Drs. who are good enough to command cash payments from patients will serve the richest upper crust of American society, the rich, entertainers, politicians and those with connections.
Those Drs. that can't will fall into the federal system, in which funding will be continuously cut in favor of other projects.
Health care in America will turn into a third world status. If you have connections – you get treatment. And those who don't will sit in emergency rooms run like the DMV.
But don't worry, you smug modern liberals will be able to sit back at the end of the day and feel really great about yourself, because, gosh darn it, you care.
And then you will eventually get sick, and you will get to experience exactly what you wanted.
Enjoy!
Someone must draft this man as candidate for President of the United States. Cannot use the argument as being inexperienced but I can tell you he is up-to-date and "gets it" as they say. And I cannot say that the man sitting at the white house knows more than Mr. Voight.
Jon, you can do your best service to this country by running for office of the President of the United States of America and bring back the respect to that office!
GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!
I would have made it, but I would like to keep my job! This gig was pretty short notice…25K is very impressive considering the circumstances!
No doubt!
Okay, I'll byte. Why the Ayn Rand quote, what's your interpretation, and how does it pertain to the issues relevant to this particular thread?
Rand is not an authority, but she was right about many things. If I'm not mistaken, what's happening in the halls of power right now are what she warned would happen decades ago.
My question is did Hello World realize that when he chose the quote, because it seems to make no sense, so I'm wondering if he thought the name Rand would attract attention.
Rand was no conservative. In my opinion she was just this side of a militant libertarian.
Try to imagine a bright, inquisitive mind, raised under the yoke of communist Russia. I can't imagine having all those thoughts, ideas, and questions of authority silenced at the barrel of a gun.
Minority of Americans, majority of politicians.
We are a democratic republic. We democratically elect (one man one vote) our representatives (republic).
