Conservatives often talk about what they don’t like about Hollywood. That’s okay, but it’s not productive. Maybe it’s time we talked about what we do like? More to the point, let’s point out when Hollywood has gotten it right. And that brings me to the...

Happy birthday Kelsey! I still feel Frasier was one of the best written, produced and acted sitcoms to hit the small screen in many a year. Kudos also for having the guts to be a conservative in hollywood these days.
A rare conservative in the liberal world of entertainment.
Frasier was one of those rare sitcoms that didn't insult my intelligence. Sharp writing, genuine wit and an excellent cast.
"SIDESHOW BOB!!!!"
Happy Birthday Kelsey! Have enjoyed your comedy since Cheers and loved Frasier.
A talented gentleman. Hope he finds a new vehicle worthy of his talents. (I thought "Back to You" deserved to stay on the air.)
Pure genius…
Beat me to it….the greatest recurring guest-role in TV history.
"Kelllllsey Grammer."

He's a great actor who turned a fairly stock character like Frazier Crane and turned it into a a twenty year comedic turn that combined equal measures of humanity and humor. I thought that he was incredible as General Patton in An American Carol — not George C. Scott but still plenty of Old Blood and Guts!
He's faced more than his fair share of demons in his life, but he's bounced back and deserve credit for doing so. Hollywood is littered with many who could not overcome.
Happy Birthday, Mr. Grammer, and thank for the memories … and the re-runs of Fraser!
We are collecting 'Frasier' on DVD, so we can enjoy a great show whenever we like.
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday Mr. Grammer. You are an American icon and I adore you. And for those of you who don't follow him on Twitter…..he tweets like a madman…don't know how he has the time!!!
Even rarer in Ho'wood than a conservative is class. Kelsey is both.
One of my favorite scenes from "Frasier." Buttons and Bows:

Anytime my wife and I want to eat Mexican food, we say, "Let's all go to a taco show."
Where has Kelsey been? We fellow conservatives could sure use him back out on the talk shows letting the rest of the Hollywood dolts know that their views are'nt the only views .
I know a guy who sopent some time with him in Reno back in the 80's. He reports that what you see is what you get. He's a genuinly nice person who was fun to be with.
Can't think of a higher compliment.
Loved Frasier
Enjoyed Down Periscope
Thanks, Kelsey, for your guts in being public about your political beliefs.
Considering how much that can affect your livelihood, you're putting your money where your mouth is and walking the walk.
Niles would be proud and would break out a nice bottle of Chateau Haut Brion to toast you! Huzzah!
PS: Love your work!!
From the famous Cape Feare episode of The Simpsons (a.k.a. the one where Sideshow Bob steps on the rakes):
Lawyer: "But what about that tattoo on your chest? Doesn't it say, 'Die Bart, Die?'"
Sideshow Bob: "No, that's German for 'The Bart, The.'"
Juror: "No one who speaks German could be an evil man!"
Few of us could endure the hardships this man has endured and still stand upright. That he's conservative is heartening, but I think I would still admire him for his strength even if here weren't.
Happy birthday to a talented, dignified man. The guy can play Sideshow Bob — AND General Patton …. that's range.
An M-G-M Masterpiece Reprint:
"………President Barack Obama’s secret service codename was revealed as Renegade and his wife Michelle’s as Renaissance…..".
Hahahahaha! This is old news I guess, but the first I have heard of it.
"Renegade" and "Renaissance"! Truckload of self-delusion and vanity there! I want to hear Obama speak the words – "My codename is "Renegade"….and then explain just why. And the Queen, too. "I am "Renaissance".
I guess "Jughead" and "Lard-ass" were already taken?
So were "Ears" and "Vanity".
Great actor and a class act all the way. Happy Birthday Sir.
Obama's should be Sputnik for his huge head and Michelle's should be guns for her arms everyone swoons over.
That's one of my all-time favorite Simpsons' episodes.
Maybe Obama's just a big Lorenzo Lamas fan.
I love Kelsey Grammer. I've been a fan most of my life, since Cheers started its run when I was a kid.
Frasier was one of the best comedies I've ever seen. The humor was intelligent while still being absolutely hilarious. My brothers still quote, "Like a ninja!" and "Dad, are we odd?" "No, you're not odd, you're just… special."
It's a shame he hasn't had a big hit since the show went off the air. He certainly deserves it.
Also is a better actor and is thought better of than The Governator. And now has a better body than Ahhnold, who woulda thunk that? : )
I loved "Back to You" his show with Patricia Heaton.
Why Fox did not give the show a chance, I will never understand.
A toast of golden nectar to you Mr. Grammer. Next round is on me.
is that the one where he's tricked into singing the entire score of "The Pirates of Penzance"? or do i have the right episode, but the wrong musical reference? in any event, pretty damn funny…
All the best, Kelsey!
Can't wait to see him in La Cage aux Folles, opening this spring on Broadway.
Happy Birthday Kelsey Grammer,a true American and great funny man, Love the Frazier show. Keep up the conservative thinking with all those idiots in Hwood. God Bless.
A Fan.
Frazier was one of the very few tv shows of the last 20 years that I never missed. Funny, thoughtful, and exceedingly well-acted. I loved the fact that Kelsey never seemed to mind building an episode around one of the other characters. I think it is why so many of the show's fans felt as if we personally knew the wacky and lovable Cranes and their extended "family".
Congratulations and many happy returns, Mr. Grammar!
I agree with you on that. FOX didn't give that show a chance to catch on.
In celebration I am running with scissors.
Happy birthday Kelsey! I have to say one of my favorite movies is "Down Periscope", where you re the unconventional Navy commander taking over a WW2 sub with an outlandish crew.
Hilarious movie. Funny from beginning to end.
I love Kelsey Grammer. I have to say that Frasier is one of the best sitcoms I've ever seen. I have never seen a sitcom that comes even close! I own all eleven seasons on DVD and I still laugh my ass off watching them. But it's kinda weird seeing that its the only live action show on my shelves while the rest is anime. = \\
But anyways Happy Birthday Mr. Grammer, thanks for the laughs! =D
Scott, That's one my favorite Simpson's episodes — and the best quote in that episode! LOL! I used it all the time whenever someone says "he seems nice enough."
Happy birthday Kelsey. I can only reiterate that Frasier was one of the best shows of all time on TV. Still watch it on late night. Thanks for being a standup conservative too!
Its a shame that he has not had much last since Fraiser ended and a 20 year run of a great character. Down Periscope a laugh riot, but he is the Best of Krusty's Sideshow's.
Indeed he is a talent. Memorable for me was his role as Gen. Partridge in the Pentagon Wars. An HBO film from the mid 90's. Kelsey plays the stoically corruptable to the hilt, and Cary Elwes was damn good too. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out – very funny truths about the stupidity of Government waste. Put into today's perspective, it becomes a cautionary tale.
Not to mention the "Welcome Aboard" tattoo on his 'genitalia' ROFLMAO .. Great role, great flick, and wonderful person. Happy Birthday!!
I always thought there needed to be a biopic about Bob Hope and that Kelsey Grammer should be the person to portray Hope. He kinda has the nose and he certainly has the talent.
Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Grammer! You're a class act, and Frasier was (and still is) the best thing on TV.
He's looking handsome these days.
A great entertainer.
Kelsey Grammer playing the role of Beast was the only redeeming quality of the 3rd X-men flick. For that, I will be forever thankful.
One of the things I love about getting the DVDs is watching the bonus material. One season had them blocking a scene and Kelsey Grammer is wearing beat up old jeans and a tattered sweatshirt. That's when I realized how much talent he had because even in clothes you might use to paint the garage, he exuded the dapper Frasier Crane.
My favorite episode is when he recreated "Nightmare Inn," the radio show from the station's early days, with the gang each taking a part, and Niles having to do six different characters at the last minute, all with different accents.
"Renegade"…?
God was taken and He wouldn't give it back…right?
And as for Michelle…Lucas has copyright on "Wookee"…but "armflabflap" has GOT to be open….
thanks- i knew The Pirates of Penzance didn't sound right, but couldn't come up with anything else.
I thought she was "Wookie" or "Capt. Worf."
Getting David Hyde Pierce as Bob's brother Cecil has got to be one of the most brilliant casting decisions in Hollywood history.
I still remember my Dad's reaction the first time he spoke.
I concur.
He was always the top Beast on my "Who would be the best actor for what role?" list of X-Men characters. He nailed the role too.
There were so many funny scenes but if I had to pick one I would have to say "It sounds like a whale" scene…
Happy birthday Kelsey. You are a brave man to come out in Hollywood which means to be a patriotic conservative.
It was good to see John Ratzenberger at the Capitol Hill healthcare rally too. I always liked him. George Wendt is probably a good guy too, but the Ted Danson and the rest of the Cheers cast, I don't care much for, they're typical liberal dopes – literally in Woody Harrelson's case.
Bingo.
He's a talented dude.
That's the one! But it was the "H.M.S. Pinafore."
"Very well, Bart. I shall send you to Heaven before I send you to Hell!"
This might be the first movie with a Teabagger reference put out by Hollywood.
Taking Chances

The movie is about a kid who works at the Historical Museum inf Patriotville, a city which is going bankrupt.
The town fathers are planning to destrou the historical revolutionary war landmarks in order to put in an Indian Casino. So naturally the young kid starts a protest.
So everyone hates him for hurting the town and calles him a "Communist".
Some guy calles up to threaten to Teabag him. Cute Huh!
The real joke is when was the last time a liberal actually cared about the history of this country. This is what i so stupid. It is the people at the Tea Parties who are actually worried about what the founding fathers wanted.
My wife and I love that movie, and his performance as Commander Dodge. "I hope they have one in turquoise!"
I second that!! He'd do Bob Hope proud!
"Renegade" sounds like the name you give a 3 legged dog.
Obama the renegade! Hahahahahahaha………Yeah, man…hop on your hog and burn rubber down the two lane blacktop. Give the guy a James Dean hat or something
And "Renaissance" – what Renaissance was she supposed to bring forth? 3-D Ugly?
"Why Fox did not give the show a chance" you answered your own question. Fox has ADD, just ask Joss Whedon
Dittos to all of the above. Happy Birthday Kelsey.
Happy Birthday to a wonderfully talented actor. My family and I have all of the Frasier DVDs as well as Up Periscope and one of our favorite sayings is, "Let's Kick this Pig."
I also enjoyed Kelsey as Fraiser on Cheers and in his own show. Always funny. I also remember that Kelsey has no trouble in the babe department. I vividly remember a Playboy spread featuring his former girlfriend. Most hot indeed.
I never liked Beast until I saw him portrayed by Kelsey Grammer. He was the silver lining to X-Men 3.
Happy B'day Kelsey!
*RAKE* Nhhhrrrrrrgh.
Homsar rules.
And one of the chief writers of that episode? That's right- Conan O'Brien.
Agreed!
Glad to see his heart is still tickin'. Always a pleasure to see him on the screen- large and small. Remind me to pick up some Frasier DVD box sets…
Happy B-day Kelsey G. We hope it's the best! Frasier was one of the brightest and best sitcoms to air in the last 30 years! Of the ones we let him watch, my 9 year old loves Hoopin' Cranes and the Innkeepers (which has one of the funniest 10 minute segments of comedy ever to be written, in my never to be humble opinion) the most. We love him, our kids love him, heck even our dog just stares at him all day long.
Happy Birthday, Kelsey Grammer!!!
I LOVED Sideshow Bob! I loved, loved, LOVED Frasier. And one of my absolute, favorite movies EVER is Down Periscope. Your sense of humor is one of the best!
"It's German…. Die, Bart Die!"
