JERUSALEM (AP) – Palestinian protesters have added a colorful twist to demonstrations against Israel’s separation barrier, painting themselves blue and posing as characters from the hit film “Avatar.”
The demonstrators also donned long hair and loincloths Friday for the weekly protest against the barrier near the village of Bilin.
They equated their struggle to the intergalactic one portrayed in the film.

Just when I think all the hoopla surrounding "Avatar" couldn't get any more ridiculous, along comes this.
Well, Cameron got what he wanted.
The truth is out it wasn't anti-American…it was anti-Israel!
Now doesn't that just figure?
And here I thought devout 'Avatar' watchers were supposed to become depressed and suicidal… instead they become Palestinians!

Avatar had one of the most ridiculous stories I have ever seen in a movie.
If it wasn't the 1st new 3-D tech movie, nobody would have seen it. Now Cameron will get funded for a 2nd epic and think people liked Avatar for the message, when all they really cared about was the novel 3-D tech. By the time his 2nd 3-D film comes out, people will demand a real story again, not just seeking a ride at Disney.
Pretty soon, we'll get a public statement by James Cameron that he made the movie "to honor Israel".
I always thought the Palis should dress up as the creatures from C.H.U.D.

The Na'Vi didn't launch attacks while hiding behind civilians. They didn't teach their kids that "the sky people" drank Na'Vi blood and stole their organs. So it makes complete sense (sarc!) that the "Palestinians" would try this campy theatre to get sympathy from gullible Avatards.

I edit elementary school history books for a living and among this week's projects was a few pages on post war Berlin.
