Looks to me like a cheap imitation of the "For Liberty Movie" which is the real deal.
Why did BH remove Mr. Wrestling's story and the comments about Precious and The Blind Side? I was following that discussion and I thought some interesting things were being said.
Between weird things like that and the moderation on this site I just don't get it sometimes.
Methinks whoever cut this trailer has taken Keith Olbermann a little too seriously. Seems like 80% of the people in the trailer are black. Yes, the Tea Party movement is completely devoid of racism, but we don't have to indulge in tokenism to prove it.
"The Tea Party movement of 2009"??? Where were these people in 2007?
This movie isn't being promoted by FOX and MSNBC…
Have a look at "A New America": http://anewamericamovie.com/
Rick Santelli sparked a revolution, that one day on CNBC.
Pay attention Washington, because we’re paying attention to you!
Intriguing…
I'll decide to see it if the Academy decides to ignore it. Therein lies the true litmus test.
Atty Orly Taitz sues Obama in Washington DC over his lack of Constitutional eligibility to be the President. Orly’s Quo Warranto filed in DC 1/25/10. Copy of the Complaint can be obtained here.

The Tea Party movement started with the Ron Paul 2008 campaign before being hijacked by less principled political interests, who have been drinking the Rudy McRomney Kool-aid that whole time instead. Members of the Free State Project (google it) have also played an especially important part early on. Any Tea Party documentary that doesn't spend at least a third of its time on Ron Paul's campaign is an outright lie!
That's my question, too. Where were ALL of them?
I like the video. Indeed, our Founders did understand that 'tyranny lived in the hearts of men.' Their answer: The Constitution of the United States.
Here's another look-see called Open Letter to Democrats: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55_et8Rzels&fe...
I've seen this documentary. It's awsome! It's real, it's funny and has you cheering at the end!
Yawn! It's old news
You don't get this site? its obvious; cut out counter theory cause your own is so preposterous. Tea Party, hah!!!! Sarah Palin only chose them cause they spend big money on her so she can continue to shun the "Have to speak for free because I actually beleive in it (actually understand it did I mean?)", GOP.
$120,000 to speak for an hour is responsible spending; responsible for like two and a half of her dresses. That's like saying Hollywood could ever have a Majority Right, Big Hollyjoke!
As someone who went to the rallies (including the big one in DC), I can attest that Ron Paul and his supporters were not a visible presence. I saw very few of his signs & shirts–and in my local rally of about 500, there weren't any. What I did see were a lot of people who had never been to a political rally before in their lives, and a good two-thirds of those crowds were folks over the age of 40. This was not a savvy crowd, like the Ron Paul people, but they were every bit as passionate–perhaps moreso. These were regular Americans who had simply had enough, and were pushed to protest for the first time in their lives.
Even though I like much of what he has to say, the Tea Parties don't owe a damn thing to Ron Paul.
Looks like another attempt to co-opt the movement complete with PC over-representation of Blacks. Why are they given special attention? I'm sick of it.
Allen West, running for Congress, was the Lt Col the Army tried to prosecute for having a blindfolded insurgent – firing his pistol into the air to scare him into revealing the location of his bomb making buddies. I'd rather serve under him than some PC officer.
He describes this moment rather succinctly
I believe the "Tea Party Movement" is identical to the first meetings in 1775 in pubs.

On Sarah Palin – who someone here snidely chided for making money – I read her book – and the reason she left office was that there were tones of frivolous lawsuits and FOIA requests – the Alaska legislature is protected financially but not the governor – so if she is making lots of money now – paying off her $500K debt – I say good for her.
It is yet another reason for tort reform – loser pays as most of the world uses.
First I would like to say that this trailer was very well produced. It made me want to watch the Documentary which is the reason for a trailer in the first place. Who cares if someone else did a documentary? The person who used tokenism is playing into the hands of liberals, it is smart to have African/Americans front and center to counter the misinformation being spread around by the MSM. Don't go off the deep end, it does no one any good, especially if you do not swim so well.
Yeah, you're right. And the Democrats took Ted Kennedy's old Senate seat too.
.
I say go for it.
.
In 2007 we were on the phones and faxes, melting the lines into DC to state our greivances.
Believe it or not it takes an awful lot to make conservatives want to actively protest. I'm so sick and tired of this old meme that we didn't care before Obama was elected. *We* stopped Amnesty. *We* stopped Harriet Meyers. We didn't feel the need to go out into the streets because we had representatives that actually *gasp* listened to us.
Unfortunately by TARP they had tuned us out. So when phone, fax, and e-mail don't work you hit the streets. most of us are productive members of society with typical 8-5 jobs and families. We don't get paid to hit the streets like SEIU. We don't have a discretionary budget for the signs we make. So take your criticism and shove it libs, you have no idea what you are talking about.
Exactly. as I understand the situation about Palin, that IS how that situation is.
I don't really speak Lunatic that well, so I didn't really understand your answer. Would you be able to put that in English? Thanks!
Bush woke us up and Obama / Pelosi amplified the mess. I woke up late 2008, it was hard for me to believe that republicans aren't conservatives and were destroying our Constitution, but I am no longer fooled. Democrats are progressives/ marxists and many republicans are democrats – there are few conservatives left. The Tea Party is out to restore the Constitution.
It is an excellent movie, except I wish they focused more on the D.C. 9/12 march. The end inspired my mother to go with me to the next protest. We all need to bring at least one more person to the next D.C. – Aug. 28 rally at the Lincoln Memorial and our numbers will not be in doubt nor denied.
I don't know which is worse, the Obots or The Ronulans…
Many of the biggest movers and shakers in the Tea Party Movement are black…why would they ignore them?
I second evrything you said; those were my observations at the rallies I've been to as well.
Re Palin, the left has no use for fact or truth.
I'm going to buy it definitely, especially because I was at the 9/12 March and I've been trying to get more involved so that I can walk the walk and not just complain at my own kitchen table. ____As for the including blacks – it's NOT PC or "token" if they were actually there, is it? They were there. Not as many as whites, sure, but they were there. The fact that more of them are not there says something about the black community as a whole, not whites. Tea Parties are not "closed" groups. They are not "by invitation only" and neither is the Republican Party. Which is why I hate when people mention the complexion of either group, as if that says something racist about them. It doesn't. If you believe in the Constitution as written (not a "living document"), if you believe in limited gov't, if you believe in individual liberty, if you agree with our Founding Fathers regarding the role of gov't and the individual in society, then come join us. If you don't, then don't.____I'm looking forward to seeing this! Maybe I'll catch a glimpse of me! LOL!
This conversation needs not be about race!! Do not acknowledge it- those that were there, and those that are apart of this know better. Do NOT allow the subject to be changed, to weigh the nonexistent racism inside the Tea Party movement.
I was there- I went to seven last year. Plus Tax Day, plus DC in Sept. This is about wanting less government and the return of our liberties. We don't care about race! We don't care- and I refuse to examine whether or not there are enough, too many or not enough black people either in a rally or a movie or a trailer.
Do not even acknowledge it! Do not allow the subject to be changed to racism, from what the conversation really is- freedom!
What evidence do you have the Free State Project was at the begining of the Tea Party Movement. I believe the first Tea Party was Dec. 16 2007 in Santa Monica CA. It was organized by Ron Paul supporters. Ron Paul lost a lot of his followers when he broke his promise to battle through the convention. He no longer has any credibility and can not be considered a serious candidate again. Last I heard he was trying to get the Federal Reserve aduited. Tilting at windmills, I'm afraid.
Why? For creditability in the MSM's eyes. The media attempts to dismiss the movement as a bunch of old, white, out-of-touch hillbillies. So the film instead shows young, black, and urban….and tells the establishment to "eat it."
That's why they are in the film. No question it is purposeful and deliberate. In a weird, ironic way almost anti-PC.
Ron Paul spoke at The Free State Project's Liberty Forum January 2008 in Nashua New Hampshire where he witnessed the enthusiasm from Free State Project Ron Paul supporters. I believe someone will find Ron Paul's statement that this was a main reason to run.
For good insight into the significance of the Tea Party movement, check out this new Tea Party Video. It is called WE THE PEOPLE.
