VIDEO: Jon Stewart Anguishes Over Coakley-Brown Race
by Big Hollywood–
Is the anguish acting? You be the judge.
If nothing else, in the subtext of his litany of complaints directed at incompetent Democrats, Jon Stewart does an excellent job pointing out the poetic justice of a Brown win. Nothing could be sweeter than seeing ObamaCare die with an out-of-nowhere Divine Intervention win of Ted Kennedy’s seat.
And watching all the shenanigans Pelosi, Reid, Obama and the Massachusetts legislature have pulled coming home to roost would only make this victory that much sweeter.

Hahaha…..Democrats in MELTDOWN !
It's a beautiful day for America !
I don't care whether or not you agree with the guy, you guys need someone this good carrying your water. He is a funny man. The ACORN thing is still one of the gut-busting-est segments I have ever seen.
You have no idea how much it pains me to say it but Jon Stewart is right, the Dems have no one to blame but themselves for their failings. They have had the majority since 2006 and now the Presidency & they still step on their dicks at every opportunity. Makes you wonder how they even still exist as a political party.
It must pain him to realize that his guys are giving him so much comedy material on a silver platter.
Funny is funny.
Bloom County was not a conservative cartoon strip, but I loved it.
Jon Stewart is NOT a conservative humorist, but he is (for the most part) if not biased, at least truthful–and funny.
Ever heard of Dennis Miller? He leaves Stewart and Maher, in the dust………… Hanzo
Yeah, pretty comical seeing him melt down that badly because I think he truly is disappointed. Like others who've commented already, I'm glad that he is so willing to hammer his own side. Albeit, he hammers our side much harder when the opportunity presents itself.
He's boring, I couldn't watch the whole clip.
Substitute "Republican" for "Democrat" and it still holds true.
That was funny.
LOL! Jonathon Stewart, The Liberal Media Stoolie, grunts out loud while he is wedging Marsha Coakley under the bus. Coakly is the idiot, not the Socialists or the Big Media who voted an inexperienced, deer-in-the-headlights "community organizer" into the White House. Right Jon?
(But don't worry, this race is not about your Obama icon. This race is about Obama's failed Big Government policies.)
Dear Massachesetts
Remember a few years back when people were talking about changing the constitution to allow foreign born politicians to run for president? This would have allowed Schwarzenegger to run.
This whole thing could have been avoided had you not decided to change the law for one person. Jon Stewart is right, the anti-Romney law is what caused this whole thing. Of course Mr. Kennedy later understood this once he found out he was terminal, and worked to undo his little law.
Hey don't feel so bad, I used to think the Electoral College was stupid too.
LOLZ

I agree. Opus the penguin and Bill the cat were great. Of course, I add the caveat of specifying the earlier years of Bloom County and not the wildly out of touch more recent activity.
Regarding Stewart, the anguish is real and funny as hell.

HEY! So this is something they can HONESTLY blame on GWB!
Yeah, I don't get why people constantly claim Stewart is funny. The show is sometimes funny but that's generally because of his 'correspondents', like Colbert and Corddry. But all the good correspondents left, and Jon doesn't have anybody to write good jokes for him anymore. So all he does is scream and pull faces.
And he pauses for long, awkward periods of time, giving the crowd plenty of time to laugh and laugh and laugh. So that must be funny.
I also think it's disgusting how partisan Jon Stewart is. Seriously. He's supposed to be smart. His fans are supposed to be smart. Yet he consistently defends the Democrats and their legislation. And people try to tell me that he "gives it to both sides!!!" Yeah, right.
Yes and yes.
He's doing it for laughs, but he swallows the left's party line 100%.
Hey Jon,
Maybe Mass wants to vote against HealthCare because they KNOW Mandated Health Care SUCKS!!!
Could be?
Voter Fraud? That's all I got…
I haven't seen him try improv, so it's hard to determine if he is actually funny, or it's just his writers. He does have good timing as a comic actor.
And I'm not sure what you mean by 'carry your water?' Do you mean some one who simply regurgitates what ever shows up on a teleprompter? No thanks, I'd rather have some one with a valid, position on issues.
Stewart may be a leftists, but he's not stupid. He needs funny jokes to get laughs, and no laughs means no paycheck.
If he did skip over this issue he should be sued for malpractice.
They shoot for the low hanging fruit.
I blame global warming.
I agree with your assessment of Stewart, Josh. I don't find him to be funny but on the rare occasion I've watched him I've found him to be honest. Again, this is only my experience.
Now, Bill Maher is a real snake. Again, I don't find him to be funny or smart. The difference is that on the rare occasion I hear or read Bill Maher it is ALWAYS intellectually dishonest. He's tricky about it though. It's the way he phrases and makes generaliztions and uses hyperbole. Your average liberal dim-wit misses all of these tricks and assumes he knows what he's talking about. Bill Maher is the true "useful idiot."
He used to be funnier, but then I think he and his staff started getting lazy. The show isn't nearly as funny as when I used to stay up for it.
The clip was funny, and I do like watching him, but Stewart is not an equal opportunity slammer…he definitely hits the right more often and harder and gives the left a pass frequently. The election in MA is such a colossal blunder, he couldn't really avoid saying SOMETHING. I notice Jon never mentioned that Coakley had said all the terrorists had left Afghanistan during the debate – seems like something that would be hammered over and over if Palin had said it.
They exist because they are a front for organized crime. I'm talking about high-level organized crime like banking and trading. Look how they use lower level organized crime to get elected. Look at whom they associate with. Organized crime has infiltrated our government. It happened as soon as the Founding Fathers passed the baton. I am only grateful that it has gotten so bad that it seems the pendulum is swinging back the other way.
And to be fair, the Republicans have been infiltrated as well. George Bush was NOT a conservative.
Excellent point.
Sometimes things are funny just because they're true, and that's it.
Stewart is acting but it's coming from a real place his real anguish. Let the pain begin and get use to it funny-man alot more coming down the pike.
we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves here…
no one has won anything- yet. But the die is set. No matter the outcome, the first metaphorical shots of the New Revolution have been fired.
And it is a glorious sight, indeed…
I find him painful to watch.
First, how you like dem apples, Jon Stewart.
Second, do Daily Show fans ever get tired of his schtick?
Third, the anguish is very real, but played up for comedy.
He does give it to both sides. He gives the left pats on the back and once in a while a kick in the butt and he gives the right nothing but kicks in the butt. Is he fair and balanced? Hell no. But I bet most libtards would think he is.
I don't know how "useful" Maher is, but I agree with you that he is an idiot. I can't even stand to see his fugly face. I just want to punch him.
His 'kicks in the butt' for the left are always for not being left enough fast enough. It's not the same.
I like that he makes the point that a Brown win would give the Dems an 18 seat majority in the senate – which is more than GWB had when he was doing "whatever" he wanted.
I guess that means that Bushitler was able to garner more bi-partisan support for his agenda than Obama can for his healthcare plan. So, which one of them is divisive? Savory the irony, Johnny boy.
Sorry, Hanzo, Miller and Stewart are apples and oranges. I'm not a Stewart fan by any means, but this bit was hilarious and honest, and that's why I can stomach Jon at times… not often, but sometimes.
And I have to give him credit for using it.
LOL I cant tell you how many times I have felt the same way about strategic campaign screw ups on our side.
hell no! I STILL blame everything on El Nino!
"we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves here… "
Indeed. If Brown wins it probably won't be by much. Don't be surprised if there's an Al Frankin type of recount. You know they're planning for it.
Was Kennedy really "beloved"? If so, I kinda wanna go somewhere and throw up.
The Democrats are playing chess. And Stewart is one of their many pawns.
[...] VIDEO: Jon Stewart Anguishes Over Coakley-Brown Race (highly entertaining) [...]
Sorry Buzz, gotta' disagree here.Miller and Stewart aren't apples and oranges, they both started out basically the same way.Because Mr.Miller has actually evolved and came to the right side, while Stewart remains a wag, and a shill, is no reason to say they are apples and oranges.Remember Miller's stint at SNL? For the most part, positvely revolting. As I see it, because Stewart comes forward with the truth on one issue, this dosen't make him any more credible,or honest, or funny. He's still merely a court jester. If the U.S.S.Democrat had smooth sailing right now, do you think Stewart would be biting the hand that feeds him, I think not. Some of his "work" is soooo far beyond the pale that I'd put him in the same class as Olbernut(I know, that's rough). As it is, I enjoy watching these partisan hacks(truly all they are)crap all over themselves and attack eachother because they're being pushed out of the drivers seat. Thanks for the reply,my friend.
………….. Hanzo
if it is close Brown will lose- just like Coleman, and like Gregoire's 'victory' in Washington state. He needs to pull a Chris Christie and blow her out…
True. I always see it as more of a shove with a soft sock on his bare foot than a real kick with a steel toed boot like he gives the conservatives. And most of his kicks on the conservatives are aimed at the balls and not the butt.

How sexist Darkwolf……It could've also been "El Nina"…………………..Wouldn't want to offend all the female "weather patterns" out there now would we?
I have never laughed so hard at a Jon Steward Monologue- or agreed with him so fervently! Chickens are home to roost and no ones able to clean up the Chix Sh*t or save the eggs from rotting!
A slow painful death is never easy or pleasant to watch……………….In this case though, It's hilarious on an epic scale……….
Rick, there is a pretty good explanation of the term "useful idiot" here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useful_idiot
well, I am a knuckledragger after all.
Nice to know I'm not the only one……
What's so beautiful about this is that Obama's only been in office one year. One year. And the left is already in meltdown mode.
Wouldn't matter because the Left has no balls to kick.No balls, but plenty of gall…………
Does he really have a choice?
He has to do something to promote the illusion of neutrality.
they tried to use Global Warming to wipe us out. Too bad for them it wasn't real.
it wou;d of allowed obama to show his B.C.
He completely misses the point. It's MA's progressive healthcare system that is one of the main drivers. ABout 70% of the people in MA, now hate the system, that they are legally required to join. Dear Jon, most of them know just how bad Obamacare will be.
When Sam Donaldson came to prominence during a Republican administration (Reagan, GHWB?) he appeared to be extremely partisan. When Clinton came in we found out that he was really a professional assassin.
Stewart is wickedly funny and is, if anything, far harder of the Dems than he was on Bush. I kinda like the guy.
LOL!
Stewart was acting.
I, on the other hand, started coughing and couldn't breathe. ;-P
Ironic isn't it? In promoting his illusion, his "Fake news" thus becomes real news.
Sure they do, but you have to kick them in the chin.
It's about frelling time. Maybe the commemorative Obama inaugural kneepads are all worn out?
the only thing that made me laugh is the mental picture I had when he said the Dems were in the nurses office because they once again glued their balls to their thighs.. I had an image of Barney Frank and spit out my sandwich.
Hey we're doin' pretty good. They tried to kill us with Globull Warming and it didn't work. Then they tried to brand us all racist hicks and that failed. Then they slapped us all on terrorist watch lists and we survived…………
I think the phrase "Survival of the Fittest" describes our kind very nicely………….
Indeed, as insufferable as we may be!
hailstat…. great comment.
You like apples? I said, do you like apples?
Browns got the advantage!! How you like them apples?!?
It really is the same schtick every time.
Heres his formula for EVERY story….
State the obvious.
Show a clip/audio that shows otherwise
Be embarrassed about the "out of nowhere" clip.
Introduce new obvious.
Repeat.
But, but, but, we told them we were going to raise their taxes and take their freedom. What the f**k is wrong with the stupid people living up there?
I'd love to see Coakley's aids push John Stewart to the ground when he's asking her questions.
Stewart's not funny or talented.
Mugging for the camera does not equal wit.
Dennis Miller has wit and talent.
Gutfield has wit and talent.
Democrats and other stoners find Stewart amsuing because they think that THEY a're amusing and witty.
And they're not.
I liked the part about who's playing chess and who's in the nurse's office….truly made me LOL.
Our lot does seem to be a bit of an acquired taste…………..
Mmmm, tastes like baby polar bear..
The best part is they will never get why they are losing.
They've shown their true fascist selves.
They've shown American what a Marxist a Democrat really is.
And America's rejecting them, even though the process will take years.
Last time I watched the Daily Show Craig Kilborne was still host. I see I'm not missing anything.
As a recovering liberal, now independent conservative, the fact is that Stewart is funny. Miller can be funny and I like him, but let's face it, he is really hard to follow sometimes (and I'm an educated professional). Maher, who a friend of mine has dates, is simply and @#%hole.
AlfonZo Rachel not funny and poignant enough?
They have just announced that the democrats are handing out premarked ballots in Massachusetts. Does this surprise anyone?
The unknown with Stewart right now is whether his new-found bite at skewering Democrats is because he and/or his writers believe they've overreached, mis-read the 2008 election and tried to enact policies that the public didn't want, or if the harder edge comes from anger that the Democrats had their chance to pass all these programs and appear ready to blow it.
I'm leaning towards the latter, though if he does more interviews with people perceived on the right the way he did with John Yoo last week — angering some of his biggest liberal supporters in the process — I might be willing to believe that, even if Stewart isn't even a moderate yet, he's at least decided to no longer be the clown nose off/clown nose on attack dog of the Democratic Party.
Setting politics aside, Jon Stewart kicks Dennis Miller's tookus, on talent alone.
It was encouraging to see a number of posters here actually acknowledge the reality that Jon Stewart, despite being on the left, is funny and truthful.
It's surprisingly humorous to see just as many posters who can't set politics aside to see the full humor in the bit.
You know, I holler with laughter when Stewart is treated as the actual news by the left. Unfortunately for the left, Stewart is the only one these days not frothing at the mouth calling Repubs every playground name they can think of.
Stewart has stated what I believe is the problem with both parties – they forgot about us a long time ago. Coakley is pure progressive arrogance and Stewart knows this. Brown might be pure arrogance as well, but Coakley has done a much better jobs showing the world.
Sorry kiddies, time for a 3rd party. Fiscal conservatism, social moderation, environmental moderation, strong U.S. presence, and an equal playing field in the world's economy. We'd do well our 3rd party.

America is…and God willing shall always be…a CENTER/RIGHT nation. The people have fought back Jon, despite the media bias, the deception, the Obama scam…er campaign, the patronizing arrogance. The WILL OF THE PEOPLE is the elephant in the room you can't seem to identify.
Yes it is, although to fairly answer the question in the headline for this post, I must ask who cares whether Mr. Jon Liebowitcz's anguish is acting or not.
I didn't think he was very funny. The low expectation thing was mildly amusing but overall I find him rather annoying in this video.
Wasting away again in Margaritaville, looking for my lost shaker of salt, some people in the DNC and WH claim it's that woman Coakley to blame, but internally they should know it's their own dang fault…
Well, as my college adviser always used to say, "Some of the dumbest people I know hold Ph.Ds."
If Bush had less votes in the senate to do "whatever he wanted to do" he must have had some Democrat votes too. The current health care bill (and almost every other piece of legislation that congress has passed this year) where Republicans have been totally excluded from the entire process and horse trading was done for purely partisan reasons, is being forced on the taxpayers against their will. The leadership is preventing the people's will and best interests from being represented in congress or the senate. Obama, Pelosi and Reid are not listening to the voters who are represented by not only the republicans and independents but by democrats who disagree with the whole health care "scam". We all know what happens when elected representatives fail to listen. They get voted out.
I think this is a victory for the Republicans (even more for conservatives) no matter how the final vote tally reads. Let's not forget, these two are running in Massachusetts! For Ted Kennedy's seat! This should not, by any calculation, even be a close race, and yet it is. It doesn't matter how many ACORN operatives get bused in, or how they try to screw with the numbers, for the Democrats even to have to devote some of their now-limited political resources to a state as blue as Massachusetts should be sending the entire party into a panic over the swing states and even those that lean Democratic. It doesn't matter how many 'votes' Obama's operatives manufacture, they can't undo the destruction of the illusion that is his presidency. Win or lose, if this race is any indication, the entire party is going to go down in flames in November.
This guy is unwatchable
Anguish.
Wow, BHers. This^. Assistant Attorney General Yoo. Has this guy ever been so fun to watch?
Even the earlier years of Breathed's Outland were funny. I remember the story arc that resurrected Bill the Cat — it involved a brutal satire on how Michael Eisner's leadership was ruining the entire Disney corporate enterprise.
I loved it when Milo was listening at the door to the newspaper editors office and heard them talking about the communist takeover of the news! Prophetic.

Sometimes the conventional wisdom is the best. Don't want to pass myself off as a political guru or anything, and I do know better than to think this automatically spells the end of the health care bill, but I honestly don't know how the Democrats can spin this as a victory, even if Brown loses.
JS is as funny as a rubber crutch in an old folks home. When I see his face I just want to smash it. Same with Maher.
Probably because they found out you don't have to be funny or intelligent to make a liberal laugh, you just have to be mean and cruel. It also helps if you can display some BDS to get them on your side too.
the short answer is they can't. This is a defeat- and one they knew was coming. It will cause them to double down on their leftist agenda knowing time is short- not to mention the inevitable coming 'crisis'…
If there is any lib talker i can stomach lately its him. hes gotten pretty good lately with hammering his own side. Makes him come off as at least honest in his lib'ness. Perhaps its just a show, but if not it does increase the respect for him a bit.
Ha ha, ha ha ha…..Just waiting for ol' Jonny's head to start spinning.Republican Scott Brown winning "Ted Kennedy's Seat", oh the irony, sweet, sweet irony…………. Hanzo
The best part was the end, where he was saying that they shouldn't have raised the bar for Democrats, they should have just left it lying on the ground, so they could trip over it.
I'd rather watch Gutfeld. Most of Stewart's best stuff is written for him by a staff of writers, so no one knows if he's actually funny, or just a good reader. Colbert is better because his shtick only works because of his acting. If you're talking the ability to think on your feet, then you're right, Miller and Stewart are apples and oranges. Miller is great at it.
Entertainment is Entertainment, the same as Truth is Truth, Truth in Entertainment is funny…. even to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once again Stewart proves that Liberals just don't get it. To bad the rest of us have to suffer from their ignorance and arrogance.
Didn't realize the will of the people was bartered through special interest groups and lobbyists. I guess we should all be voting for Corporate CEO's into office instead of these talking heads we call our representatives.
Agreed, Maher is an @sshole, Stewart funny? Guess it just depends on your definition of "funny".
………………… Hanzo
Nice, but I know where this is going, It was Coakleys fault she lost the seat. Well this in not true, Actually it is everything the Obama admin and the Democratic congress has done and not done that has got people fed up, the people of Mass are more voting against Obama than for brown or against Coakley, Coakley could have done everything right and she would still lose.
I love the way the Dems and Libs are so quick to throw their own under the bus.
well, that's the conventional wisdom- and it seems to be the case as well. A victory for Brown will cause a sea change in politics…
Dam sure don't taste like chicken.
Okay! Now I can safely say this……….Tastes more like victory than anything else…………….
