This is one downside to Internet commenting, because we can't be face-to-face with these sick freaks. There's a time and place for quiet debate, but screeches like these about Rush deserve nothing more than one quick punch in the face. Unfortunately one can't very well do that through a computer screen.

Speaking as one who was born in the same city as Rush but isn't able to listen to his program all that often, I second everyone else when I say, get well soon and then get back to giving these trolls headaches.

He has looked so good lately.

One of my first thoughts hearing about Rush this morning was that I can only imagine the vile comments being thrown around on Huff Post and other such sites. They are a truly miserable group of people. I remember the comments about Tony Snow and it still makes my blood boil!

Again, sickening. I will say that according to Politico, a lot of prominent left-wingers in the media (but I repeat myself) have actually taken the high road–Rachel Maddow, for example, a woman I generally despise–and wished Rush a speedy recovery. Maybe there's some hope for civil discourse after all.

And if you check out HuffPo, there are some liberals who are either wishing him well, or at least not expressing jubilance over his illness. I'm putting my money on one of The View chimps to fling the first pile of poo.

As I have always said since I have been blogging since libertas days that liberals are all mad dog animals. What happen to RUSH is proof of them having no soul. If the Repubs in congress have shown anything this session, it's that decorum and politeness are completely out the window. Rather than promote ideas and potential candidates, all they've done is complain and whine and obstruct to the degree that they can, which, considering how incompetent the Democrats have proven to be, is surprising. They had a chance to make a good push for 2010, but even as badly as the Dems are doing, the Repubs are somehow doing even worse, if that's possible. Neither party deserves our vote, imho.
