Fox News: Politicizing NEA Among Top Stories MSM Missed in ‘09

A senior official at the National Endowment for the Arts encouraged artists to promote President Obama’s political agenda in a conference call he organized with the White House. The NEA’s communications director Yosi Sergant eventually resigned in August amid accusations that the grant-making organization was becoming politicized. The administration called it a “teaching moment,” but the media didn’t seem to catch the lesson.

That is the worst photo of Rachel Maddow and Robert Reich I have ever seen.
2009 goes down in history for me as the year the MSM became totally irrelevant.
The only thing that surprises me is they had any credibility left to lose.
Missed, in this instance, implies a human error, an overlooked story that would have been
reported had we been aware it existed or realized its importance to our subscribers.
Wrong, it wasn't missed, it was flat considered either detrimental to the admin and would not
advance the story as the template requires or we are in favor of this request by the admin so
we see no reason to report it. Nothing to see here move…………..
The decline of media in 2009, totally agree. They cannot control information anymore and it's been happening for some time. 2009 was just the bottom falling out for the lefty msm. 2008 will be their Pyrrhic victory.
As for 2010, it will be the year big government blows up. Tech bubbles, housing bubbles, credit crunch etc…now it's the government bubble. I will do all I can to starve the government of my hard earned money and help tip that deadwood over.
All the freeloaders and government funded parasites will have to sink or swim like the rest of us. And with it, the resurgence of conservatism based on individual liberty. It's gonna be a conservative decade ahead of us.

The MSM's new method of gathering breaking and nationally relevant news (e.g. Tea Parties, NEA grants, bail-out/hand-outs) is to put their hands over their ears and hum.
2009: Sweeping stories under the rug for the Admin.

I want to thank Big Hollywood for breaking the NEA story this summer and running with it.
It really opened my eyes to the tricks being played on us by the Obama administration.
I passed every Big Hollywood story about the NEA scandal to my friends and the liberal ones had no idea this was going on. That's becasue they only believe what the NY Times and MSNBC tells them.
