NBC's Friday night series “Grimm” is a fantasy show, but for reasons I cannot fathom the program's writers chose to mine that most heinous relic of Mittel-Europa: the story of the seemingly good and kind Jew who is really a demonic creature underneath for last week's...

The New Hawaii 00000 Starring Barry 00000
My favorite is the bundler comment and a special guest appearance by…..
"Strange Brew" has somehow become one of our annual Christmas family movies. Sublimely stupid is the only way to describe it. Too bad they never made another Bob and Doug movie.
In other news, look who's having a spiritual crisis:
THE NORTHWEST BOMBER'S THEOLOGICAL DILEMMA: BEANS WENT TO PARADISE, FRANK TO HELL

Lefty, we hardly knew ye!
Over at Threedonia, they're doing a top 5 "big, stupid comedy" poll. Here are mine:
1. Brain Donors, a Marx Brothers-inspired parody of the ballet scene with John Turturro doing jokes at 90 m.p.h., British actor/comedian Mel Smith, and prop comic Bob Nelson whose coat pockets are infinite.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJBmlM-4lb0
2. Top Secret, the Zucker/Abrahams team’s lesser known film and the debut of Val Kilmer
3. Trapped in Paradise, a Christmas film with Nicholas Cage (with his weirdness cranked up to 11), Jon Lovitz, and Dana Carvey
4. a few of the Police Academy films (mainly the first three)… what can I say? I still laugh at them
5. the Dragnet movie, with Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks… maybe not a “big, dumb comedy” but I enjoy it (beware of Pagans!)
Honorable mentions: Happy Gilmore, Eurotrip (better than Road Trip), Super Troopers
Could we feel any more safer by our bungling government?
New rules keep passengers in seats

Somehow IMO, this just makes our government look even more stupider then before.
I'd put another Val Kilmer pic in there as an honorable mention: Real Genius. Just for this line:
Scientist: "You ARE Chris Knight, aren't you?"
Kilmer: "I hope so, I'm wearing his underwear….."
Brain Doners is hysterical. That is one of the best things John Turturro has ever done!
I got this album when it first came out. When I put it on my turn table I accidently put it on side B and they had a bit about accidently putting new records on side B — made it even funnier.
Back in the '90's they were making one indepentently called "Home Brew" but their funding dried up.
Anybody else see what Tori Amos said about Palin? I didn't think so….she should just stay a nobody…..
Time for New Year's resolutions. But what if you force *someone else* to stick to a resolution for 2010? Who and what would it be?

(just for fun)
Yep, they've managed to outstupid even themslelves. I salute in awe.
Yeah, I saw the link on BH, and I just refused to give the tard or the web site the honor of a visit.
That is to say the beans got vaporized and floated up, while the frank just got smoked? Ahh, cosmic justice.
Glad to see a nod to "Dragnet" which was hilarious and has always been underrated. I don't know if it's a "big" dumb movie but I would add "Amazon Women on the Moon." This was a 1987 collection of side-splitting sketches and parodies directed by, among others, John Landis and Joe Dante which remain fesh and goofy today. Ed Begley's Jrs. take on "Son of The Invisible Man" is a pure joy.
Yeah, I've seen it. It was alright. Kentucky Fried Movie probably belongs in that category, too. (The KFM audio commentary on the DVD with John Landis and the Zucker/Abrahams team is actually funnier than the film itself.)
Tori Amos, Tori Amos, hmmmmmmm, Isn't she the daughter of the famous producer of
90210 and other popular TV shows, no, no, that was Tori Spelling I believe, wait a minute don't tell me…………………………………………………………………………………………? Oh, I give up!
I think the headlines: Napolitano: "The system worked" (http://www.politico.com/blogs/politicolive/1209/N... followed by System 'did not' work–Napolitano revises comments (http://www.politico.com/politico44/perm/1209/syst... says an awful lot about how incredibly incompetent the government as represented here by Napolitano is. And her closing comment: “Air travel is safe while we work our way through this problem,” she said. Oh, yeah, I feel much better now!
Mark Steyn (sp)
Is on for Rush today
You may not know her (or care for her music as I don't), but Tori Amos isn't really a nobody. She was huge in the 90's, has always been kinda crazy, but she's managed to sell over 10 million albums. (or discs or however they count music these days)
Speaking of Steyn, here's his latest hilarious take on global warming…..
http://www2.macleans.ca/2009/12/24/why-climate-ch...
The MSM pulled a mind scramble on Napolitano they asked a follow up question.
I imagine Lauer will treated to an IRS audit, after and his presstitute credentials will be revoked and he will be handed over to the head heshe home security deviant for "Re-education"
hmmm….
So she sold some albums 15 years ago……yeah, she's still a nobody….
Anyhoo, if she thinks she's smarter than Palin, why not debate her?
I guess that's true.
She's still a tool though….
On that we can a agree!
Tori Who?
Thanks for putting up the link to Steyn's article. I always read him but got behind over the holidays. I particularly love the posted responses that he gets to his "Macleans" pieces. Some of his "critics" come off as totally demented particularly when Mark writes about environmental politics. I see a day coming when the global warming crowd will all be like Vincent Price in "The Witchfinder General" (aka The Conqueror Worm") rooting out "deniers" from their hiding places and forcing them to recant before being burned at the stake. (Wait – Burning heretics isn't enviromentally friendly. I suppose we will all be pelted to death with the collected writings of Paul Ehrlich.)
How about this guy's writings?

Oh they are finally doing the Bob and Doug animation? I remember first seeing a preview way back when the Strange Brew dvd came out so long ago.
Well, better a has-been than a never-was, as they say.
