Like Brittany, she was in her early thirties and her death came completely out of left field, despite the myriad of health problems she had suffered. The hospital was very adamant about doing an autopsy to verify not only what killed her but whether or not it was a genetic condition that could possibly be a health risk for my son. I also sympathize with her husband's reluctance however. It may just be that he is afraid of what he could find out. Having later learned that my own wife died as a result of a zoloft overdose, I sometimes wish that I could have remained ignorant of it all. Will, however, ask if you recall the hugely talented singer, Karen Carpenter, of "The Carpenters" fame. She had anorexia, and died of a heart complication of that. Every Christmas, Karen and Richard Carpenter make my season more beautiful with their lovely music. So sad for all concerned. How I wish that Karen had just gained weight - I don't care how much - but could still be around singing. They will both be misssed.
