William Shatner's interview with Rush Limbaugh on his Raw Nerve show was excellent. Shatner is a darned good interviewer and, as a 20 year listener of Rush, I learned more about him in this 30 minute interview than I ever had previously. Dare I say it? I'm garnering a whole new respect for The Shatman.

Roseanne Barr was on Joy Behar the other day. They both actually had good things to say about her and condemned how the media treats her.

Roseanne's only problem with her is that she believes Palin is "anti-woman." I guess that means pro-life. Roseanne went on to say that the only way a woman can exist on the right wing is to be anti-woman. As economics become the main issue of the day, Palin's chances get better and better.

I certainly understand your position and in some respects agree with you.
The part that is discouraging to me is the negotiating between the parties be it 3 in number
or 6 or however many factions they currently have in Italy, for instance, to get a majority rule. A given party
may have to compromise on core beliefs in order to come to an agreement with another
group that holds a polar opposite position. Also, the ruling parties have a tendency, at times,
to frequently lose power, for various reasons and new alliances must be made to reestablish a leader.
I don't think its the 2 party system here thats at fault but the people in it.

I like to debate. I could be wrong.. but it is debate we all should be having to scare the political elite straight.

Had the opportunity a few years ago to see Eartha's act at Jazz Alley here in Seattle. At the age of 80, she packed more sensuality and sex appeal into her numbers than Beyonce does in her dreams.

We now have the internet, combined with our friends and family. We can connect now more than ever before.. 912 put a million people in washington by word of mouth and the internet..no advertising.. We are changing America..and neither the republican or the democratic party can claim they represent the people as long as gerrymandering exists. In fact to silence voters is a direct assult on freedom.

Anyone out there besides Nolte seen Avatar yet? At this point, I plan to avoid it but am open to persuasion. Any movie that isn't The Wizard of Oz that features the cliche line "We're not in Kansas anymore" and thinks it's good enough to be in the commercial clearly has some script problems, politics or no politics. Is there enough there to make up for bad writing?

Now if Mrs Sarah would appear on Mr Gutfield's program, which I'm sure she will if she hasn't already and I missed it, tho 3am is tivo time for me, she can have pronounced effect on the ratings of all the alphabet networks. Should she decide to run for the top job I wonder if she will personally complain about the coverage of the MSM as Obama does about Fox. Nah, its called class, some have it some don't. We'll do it for her.

And that's a valid outlook on districting.

I don't think a third party is really viable. Though it may be allowed by the Constitution, and it may have had some toehold in the past, hasn't it been proven that the more cooks in the kitchen only create more dissention? Imagine having to deal with three wives. Let alone two! (I don't even have one. And I still get grief!)

To make this clear I support a no party system. We can force this by simply registering unaffiliated and demanding reform. Everything the parties do is based on party affiliation.. We can have run offs to determine majority, instead in a three way race where the most votes win.. The primaries do it all the time. Parties are not a wife they are in present terms dictators. We as Americans are owed representation not dictatorship. If the parties want to exist then they must not be allowed access to public funds in any form.

Your analogy scared me and I don't have a wife either. As I replied to the Barbarian
without party affiliation, no matter how many parties which I am not in favor I suspect
that we would be a diiferent country, which come to think of it we are anyway.

good afternoon..I know about the case.. it is sad the government deemed people to stupid to think on their own.. when they live their lives just fine.. we all sit on juries and can judge life and death.. we almost all can serve in the military.. we all can become informed voter.

In this imperfect world we have a system that you are defending that brought us together to fight against the up coming slavery.. So we are here proves the other way has failed.

I don't know what the process is called, did they do it in Afganistan or Iran? Somewhere over there. I forget, but it's where you allow as many who want to run a place on the ticket. Then people continue voting and eliminating the bottom third or half of vote getters until everybody settles on the one most agreeable. I have no idea if this would work here, but it seems ok. I'm probably wrong because I haven't thought enough about it yet.
