Out of context and with a scope of vision no broader than what you see through a soda straw, Zinn cherry picks moments and events from here and there to create the narrative of America he’s pitching to keep his star rising amongst Hollywood’s Marxist poseurs and leftist academic grievance mongers desperate for an excuse to explain away their inability to succeed in the real world.
One wonders if Zinn or any of his minions have ever stopped for just a moment to realize (and appreciate) the fact that without America the world would be everything they accuse America of being.

Where is all the money? Why do the Bush's live the modest lifestyle of minor millionaires? Shouldn't they be worth billions? Shouldn't they be living the lifestyle of say, a George Soros (collaborating with Nazis must be more profitable than Iraqi war profiteering).
If people just stopped and thought about this for a second, and used a bit of common sense and logic, they would realize how insane people like Zinn and his ilk are.

I nauseated myself reading the Viggo Mortensen article giving breathy praise to Zinn as a "historian". Forget the wonderful, FACT-FILLED historical account of America's history by Bill Bennett called "America, The Last Best Hope" volumes 1 and 2…no, instead we have a veteren from WW2 whose mind must've snapped after his combat time because he became an ardent hater of everything America was and is. True historical books deal with fact, plain and simple. Zinn preverts the truth to meet his own vile, twisted version of who America really is.

I realize Mr. Zinn wrote a book and while I have read one, that extrapolates to, in Mr Zinn's use of logic, he's a genius therefore so am I, 1plus 1 equals6. Iraq has oil therefore we went to war to get it. As has been asked before why go to the Middle East when Mexico, no offense meant, also has it and would have been a push over to get it since there is no one left there anyway. Mr Chavez is expecting us to attack or so it seems for all the weapons he is purchasing. It must be the oil we are after. When does all this investment in the middle east payoff in oil shipments, We still purchase, yes purchase a great deal of our oil from south of our border. Seems

In 2006, Zinn advocated that we leave Iraq immediately, even though that would have caused chaos and civil war. The outcome that the Bush administration fought for – the present situation – is almost certainly preferable in every way, including the number of people killed.
But is Zinn learning anything? Has he ever been wrong? No, of course not. His typical argument goes like this: "We don´t know what would have happened but what we did (meaning: you) was immoral."
That line of argument is worth less than nothing in the real world. The idea that Zinn cares about Iraqis, or people in general, is ludicrous. Zinn cares about being a sanctimonious, holier-than-thou liberal puritan.
We MUST take back our educational system first, for therein lies the crux of our dilemma. These evil worshipping freaks have a free hand to spread their vicious calumny to our young, to be able to insidiously instill this very bent and twisted logic, along with their revisionist history to corrupt the minds of our future generations.

I think that as a voting block, the Jewish vote does tend to be for the left. If you read anything by Ben Stein, he laments this trend constantly, blaming it upon the gratitude shown to FDR for WW II.
Not only is Zinn's revisionist nonsense flat out wrong. It's not even original. "A People's History" is based on the work of Charles Beard, the father of revisionism, who was discredited in 1958. But I'm sure his half-educated followers wouldn't be bothered by that even if they knew it.

Are all those Iraqis Bush had murdered from the skies enjoying their democracy? By the way, neoconjedi, Hussein, at most killed 300,000 people in two and a half decades, often when he was supported by the United States government. And even if you don't count the horrific sanctions (which knowingly strenghtened Hussein and starved the Iraqi people) pushed predominantly by the US, which probably led to the deaths of around a million Iraqis, (half of them children) the invasion and occupation of Iraq that began in 2003 has led to well over a million deaths. A good portion of those deaths were due to 'coalition' ariel bombing and an infrastructure totally destroyed by said bombing. So thats well over 3 times as many killed in Iraq due to the US led invasion than a thug like Hussein killed in over two decades. And again, during his worst crimes, he was backed by the US. Living in this much of a murderous right wing bubble of denial is a extremely dangerous thing. One day reality is going to come crashing down and no amount of the old 'the left stabbed us in the back' bullshit is going to be able to stop it. What you need is to repent. We need to see official apologies and mass repentance for these crimes.
