Name this movie: An ace CIA operative, condemned as a rogue and now hunted by the Company, bashes and crashes his way through colorful foreign settings, pursued by heavily armed hit men, while back at Langley headquarters an inscrutable deputy director and one of his top lieutenants are arousing the...

Does this guy have something to do with global warmin…ooops, I mean "climate change?"
So the cadet that was reading during Obama's Speech-What's gonna happen?
I can just Imagin "Sir, you told me I had to be there, but not that I had to participate"
Kind of like the song-and-dance we've been getting from Al Gore & Co. regarding "climate change".
Oh God. As soon as I played the above clip, I remembered that there's a scene in Batman and Robin where Arnold Schwarzenegger (as Mr. Freeze) is watching this, making his henchmen sing along with it.
"The horror, the horror…"

The Obama White House Will Hold 28 Holiday Parties With 50,000 Guests
I'm becoming the Irving Berlin of videos and that's not a reference to his talent!
So, You are a…..Democrat…..? http://twitpic.com/rwyd0
The surge starts now!
OBAMA ANNOUNCES SURGE…..IN PARTIES!
http://naturalfake.wordpress.com/2009/12/02/obama...
I've watch this every year since grade school. I'm 44 and I ain't stoppin' now! LOL
I love the Rankin/Bass specials. They don't make em like that anymore.
It's ironic that George Irving, the big rotund musical comedy actor who did the voice of the Heat Miser, was still alive thirty years later to do the voice again for last year's "A Miser's Brothers Christmas" while Dick Shawn, the comedian and actor who played the Snow Miser, was thin as a rail with washboard abs and an early healthy living and fitness advocate, died many years ago and had to be replaced.
I am from the future.
How can you people not recognize the folly of Obama?
Humor they say is a good way to get your point across. I prefer you go to the comedy club for humor, because life and death is little hard for me to put a happy face on.. What is going on in the war zones in our name is insane.. It seems everyone in Washington is pulling each others tails.. Ok its not their tails they are pulling, but the result is the same. I am still trying to figure out are we surrendering or are kicking butt.. I still don’t know what victory looks like. I am still not convinced that our soldiers in the field have the backing of the full power of America.. The reported rules of engagement are crazy while we court martial heroes for wiping a smile off a bad guy who supports cutting heads off. BO speech was closer to …ho hum .. Do I have to give this speech…. than to “we will fight them in the streets“.. Sorry I see no humor when soldiers are fighting for their lives…I still think instead of just thanking a vet for their service call your congressman and demand they protect our men and women in the field.
Further caption said he was reading *before* the speech began. The other cadets also seem to be pre-speeched aka awake.
You can time travel?? Please go back farther and kill Hitler!
I'm surprised the picture of the US Army cadet reading Kill Bin Laden during Obama's speech hasn't been photoshopped yet…to read Kill Chris Matthews.
Good Post……buy American and buy from small local stores…..not catalogs….not net sites…..go to your locally owned store and have them get what you want. When I want an item that I can't get locally I go to my locally owned GUN store and have them get it for me …..sometimes it takes longer is more expensive, but they'll be in business when the catalogs are gone and the net sites are closed down. WE NEED A CHANGE IN WASHINGTON….IN OUR STATES….and IN OUR TOWNS……IN OUR MINDS , and IN OUR HEARTS.
OK OK OK OK OK….
I admit it, it is TOTALLY corny, but I LOVE these two goofy characters and I know most or all the words to the silly song.
What a great open thread video.
And YES, I suspect Heat Miser has been blowing hot air in Al Gore's ear for YEARS… All while Snow Miser has been lowering the thermostat… Breitbart and Big Hollywood break the latest scandal AGAIN!!!!!
PS – Al and Heat seem to show a similar "apple" body type, Brothers maybe???
LOOOOOOOOOVE the cartoon StlDan.
Priceless!
That's a no-go. Always remember Hitler's Time Travel Exemption Act
people fail to see the regulations and all those penny taxes as a killer to the economy and our liberty., Government can give tax break to business all they want but if I can't buy the product then that job can't exist..
Try not to buy union, either. The single greatest impediment to American-made goods is not Chinese-made goods, but unions who artificially inflate prices.
Just as competition is good for markets, competition is good for employees too. If you can't fire an employee for underperforming, then prices go up.
I was having a good laugh until I got to the clown.
My state just lost 700 plus jobs to South Carolina (a right to work state). The union (IAM) decided last year to strike against Boeing. This year they moved their 787 line out of the state. The people and the politicians here do not make the connection.
So are we going to bailout the media next? I don't see what good it'll do because it'll just get crappier if the governement runs it. As a matter of fact the government will just speed up the downward spiral of the bias media. People already are fed up with it so what makes gov think that they'll like it more if we bail it out. I'm really getting pizzed off at all this crap and am about ready to pull my hair out.
And further more, why the HELLo didn't we FORCE Bernake to tell us what the HELLo he did with all of that tarp money.
good post..and it does describe what is happening
I assume you are speaking of the "Micheal Steele" photo? http://twitpic.com/cvcws I used that in defense of the Obama in white face controversy, shut'em up pretty quick.
Regarding CBS 'sexing up' Frosty the Snowman:
CBS is clueless…just like they were 44 years ago when “A Charlie Brown Christmas” first aired.
And Charlie Brown, Linus and Lucy, Sally, Schroeder, Shermy, Pig-Pen, Patty, Violet, Frieda, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang, including Vince Guaraldi and Charles M. Schulz will always live forever!
This was on ABC Family the other night and I haven't been able to get the friggin' song out of my head since then. Thanks for reinforcing it!
Good on Boeing. Call me callous, but unions are doing more to hurt workers than almost anything else out there.
Amen to that. I will be watching The Peanuts forever.
Happiness, after all, is a warm puppy.
Laughs~ I did not realize that was Michael Steel! I see it now.
I have been called worse than callous when talking to people around here about why Boeing left. People are often short sighted when it comes to unions or other things that might benefit YOU but hurt the country and YOU overall. Same with taxes, public health care… It is easier to loll in fantasyland.
I read a few days ago that Wal Mart decided to close a store in Canada rather than unionize it. Quebec was going to forbid them from closing the store! Can you imagine. I was thrilled for Wal Mart. THRILLED!
Dang it! That is SO not fair!!
I understand, I did not label it at the time because it was easier to "ambush" with it, if you will. I need to track down my source and label it. Thanks
What is the story about the "cheetah" doing on BH headlines?
It's downright eerie how much Snow Miser and Heat Miser remind me of my older brothers.
But not warm puppy pee running down your leg! I'm thinking of the 1st moments I spent with our puppy last year. Thanks a lot you little diva.
Hey Barbarian, this comment isn't a response to this particular post, but is from an exchange we had earlier in the week on how you can spread the word. Here's an interesting blog idea.
http://zombietime.com/
Rather than using lots of text, its a visual based blog. Zombie infiltrates whacko left wing protests, documents them with her (I think it's a her, who ever it is keeps a really low profile on the net), camera, and then posts them on line.
Just mentioning it as one of many ways you can use the internet to reach out, connect with like minded people, and spread the good word. Have a look and see if its something that might interest you.
Thanks Dave
LOL!!! That's the first thing I thought when I saw this too. Hahahaha!!!
Thanks for that link Ed. http://zombietime.com/ I would suggest those interested take a look.
I just had the same thought. Gee's that was the only good part of that whole move.
Thanks! I love this Christmas show! It is my favorite! Just for the fun of it, not the political! It's about power baby! who has control!
Looks like that young man has already been to war, Notice the CIB and the ribbons underneath.
Agreed, Zombie does great work. She's how I kept track on the far left protests during the Bush years, the part the MSM refused to report on. Some of it is very disturbing. But it needs the light of day, and Zombie does that.
The reason I think Zombie is a 'she' is because who ever it is managed to charm their way into the Wi-Fi tent at the DNC back at 2004 national convention in Minnesota so they could secretly upload pics of the anarchists' riots to the blog.
Those Cadets didn't look too enthused to be there. At least that's what their body language, and silence spoke.
I have been looking for 2 shows I saw on NYC are TV in the 60s or 70s.
One may have been on WCBS and the other on WNET.
Show 1 : A literal visual translation of the song The 12 Days of
Christmas. It was on film and as it progressed, each item named in the
song was brought into the shot in whatever multiple quantities were
called for by the song until at the end the scene was filled with
hundreds of items. Very entertaining. I saw it once and never saw it
again. I think this was the show that ran on CBS.
Show 2 : This was called something like "A Colonial Christmas".
Everyone is in period costume and the main character, a bon vivant.
addresses the camera and invites us to join him at a festive Christmas
party he will attend this evening. We go with him to a fine home and
he guides us in and around while speaking to various party goers who
speak to us directly. He strolls round the home and offers commentary
about this and that. Highly entertaining. Saw it once and never saw it
again. I think this was the PBS show.
Christmas on Television (The Praeger Television Collection)
http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Television-Praege...
A worthy looking book which I am too frugal to purchase.
I remember when my youngest brother used to style his hair like Heat Miser.
He'd sing this song in the mornings whenever I was feeling particularly grouchy.
It always worked.
I wish I could figure out a way to stop buying Government, our state laid off 800 MO-DOT employees today.
thanks ed..
Check out the teasing spin on this video from the AP: "Obama Bemoans Desperation of People Out of Work"
Oooh… Ahhh… Awww…
Barack is so full of crap…
Algore is definitely "too much."
Scott – your memory is scarily good! The governator indeed!
Obama Bemoans Desperation of People Out of Work = CROCODILE TEARS!
Memo to Obama: "IT'S THE ECONOMY STUPID!"
2nd memo to Obama: "HEY STUPID, IT'S THE ECONOMY!"
"Call me callous, but unions are doing more to hurt workers than almost anything else out there."
Case in point ladies and gentlemen, I give you my state.. Michigan.
Education is becoming the new third rail of politics, I tend to agree with you on the top heavy organizational chart. I would like an honest review, I can not believe the difference in school structure from my time to my children's time and now to my grandchildren.
Last memo to Obama: "Fuhgeddaboudit- you're stupid."
1st thing I noticed! I would prefer the title to be "Torture Chris Mathews"
even in my tiny state we have 100's of districts, each with admnistrations costs that can rival that of our largest school district.. are school system foundation is still based of the horse and buggy time, not because it helps the kids because who gets money for building and other contracts.
Here in Oklahoma, we voted in Right To Work… Its the only reason I still have a job working in the Aerospace industry! The unions would have run Boeing out of here also without it.
I should have added that the appearance of the Misers, Snow and Heat, looked very much like the original actors who did their voices.
Obama's speech to the nation echoed a speech LBJ made 41 years ago.
Recognize that Obama's intention is to destroy America and bring about an apocalypse.
Relax the rules-of-engagement…and use tactical nuclear weapons against terrorists in Afghanistan
Ok someone has to overlay Gores face on the heat mieser and John Holdren on freeze meiser (Holdren was a ice age proponent in 70's before he flipped to warming)
The little dudes on Holdrens side can be overlays of other Czars, on Gores side Pelosi etc.
That would be hysterical, "Congress Debates AGW" would go viral overnight…
To create a job in America. BUY MADE IN THE USA…Every time you buy American you create a job in America…Why do American products and services cost so much look at the government… all of government even the city you live in…. They have killed competition.. These BOZO’s in Washington can spin all they want but it is the money you spend here that will recover our economy and you can’t spend if the government taxes you to death.
Where's today's movie?
Indeed. The unions (and our Canadian socialist architect of economic doom Gov. Granholm) killed the auto industry here in MI.
politician are bad at deciding who stays and who goes…so it is always easier to lay off those with the weakest lobby group..I know I will get thumb but education is the biggest and most wasteful part of our government..it is so top heavy if it was a person it feet would always be in the air…
I am suddenly glad I didn't see Batman and Robin.
Maury Laws and Jules Bass are responsible for this song (and the rest of the music in "The Day Without A Santa Claus"). I learned this while trying to find out whom to call down the Wrath of Khan upon after this tune got into my head last night at work and I could *not* get it out again.
It's probably mostly Laws. From a look at his IMDb composer page, it seems he was the go-to person for shows like this. He sure had quite a career from the 1960s to the 1980s: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0493127/#composer
I liked the presence of cool-looking (in the literal sense of the word) Mrs. Claus in Heat Miser's domain and just learned this morning that this voice role was Shirley Booth's last filmed appearance.
What follows isn't at all related to the above video (except to offer a cure if the melody gets stuck in your head–really, this worked for me!) or to Christmas, but it is Hollywood related, and it's powerfully effective if you seen the movies (and if you haven't, I'll provide links–they're both in the public domain).
This is your actor:

This is your actor on drugs:

Enjoy!
Anybody see that guy on "Bulls & Bears" on Fox News Sunday nights – it's Freeze Miser IN THE FLESH!!! I can't think of the guy's name but he's always on the panel every week. Guy's a hardball conservative but he's a dead ringer for Freeze Miser!!!
what's this about "sexing up" Frosty the Snowman?
