I saw exactly one episode of "The George Lopez Show". In it he was on a camping trip with his son's Scout troop and he got into an argument with the Scoutmster because the Scoutmaster wanted to leave their garbage in a hollow tree. Having been both a Scout and a Scoutmaster I can tell you that one of the laws of Scouting is, "Always leave your camp site in better shape than you found it." We always spent an hour before leaving cleaning up the litter left by other people.
Lopez's idiotic situation proved he knew nothing about Scouting and wasn't interested in learning.
I had felt sorry for Lopez and his fellow Californians that are being refused water for their fields. I had even talked to many people to see how we could help these families but now, George Lopez can starve to death along with the rest of the liberals that continue to support these causes even though they have seen first-hand that they are not important to them. Piglosi has water going to her vineyards George, I hope that makes you and your starving families feel better. I guess I should not have bought into your story about how you and your friends REALLY want to work if only they would turn on your water. I should have known you would prefer the govenment handouts like the rest of the lazy liberals. Go to Hell, George Lopez.

PAUL RODRIGUEZ is the high-profile, Latino comic that's been raising awareness about the farmers in central CA that are being denied water for their farms, not George Lopez. Paul R. was interviewed a couple of times by Hannity about this situation, and actually admitted his opinion about Obama, and Obama's brand of Marxism (my words) that's in place now, has been eye opening for him.
Back to George Lopez……he is a huge disappointment. I used to find him amusing, years ago..BUT, he has an enormous chip on his shoulder towards conservatives…that wasn't apparent, to me, until about 3 years ago. Don't know if his position is REALLY real, or a political position of expedience because it means for $$$$ for him, and more gigs. Thanks for hearing me out.

It just makes me sick that Lopez was recently begging for help to have the water turned back on in his California community when he appeared on Hannity's show, and now he's trashing Sarah on Behar's show. I'm a third of the way through Palin's book. She recounts her early years with Todd Palin and describes his work ethic and the jobs he has held and still holds – the sort of hard, grueling labor that the two people in this interview would never understand or undertake. His work is seasonal, and allows him to spend blocks of time at home with his family – sort of like TV or film stars, but without the glamour, the inflated paycheck, the media forum and the ego.
Back in the day – "the day" being the late 60s-70 when the feminist movement was snowballing – the ideal that was being pushed upon us was to be women who were "free to be you and me" – enter the workplace and public life, marry or not, have children in or out of wedlock (or abort them if they became an inconvenient truth), and encourage men to be more nurturing, contribute to the housework and child-care, that it was okay for the woman to be the breadwinner. So now, here comes Sarah Palin who has worked hard in a lot of traditionally male jobs, entered public life, married a man who is fine with taking on a share of the household chores – she could be the poster gal for the ideal that was being foisted upon women in the 70s, and would be if she were not a conservative.

There is making commentary about whatever culture/family you come from, and Chris Rock is another example of this, and then there is being mean-spirited and hateful. Chris Rock is not funny due to the hateful anti-white comedy that the Apollo crowd just loves. And then there is the only using that type of comedy, and not veering from that format. Foxworthy, Chappelle, and even Rock use alot of other types of comedy, but not Lopez. He is a one trick pony, and not a very entertaining one at that.

Folks who like that kind of racially charged comedy. Not based on race (I know that is what you were thinking) but based on that offensive type of comedy. I don't care for it, comedians who use it too much are not funny. Look at Jeff Dunham, his comedy is all about his (and his puppet's) life. No overt racial comedy, although the puppet Sweet Daddy Dee pushes it a little.

I'll explain it to you. If you grow up and then live and work with people of different races, cultures, religions, etc. you can better understand what makes them laugh. If you live a sheltered life with very provincial views, you're not going to get the humor of comedians from different backgrounds.

If Sarah Palin was Mexican and 44 years old with a kid and a grandkid the same age, the welfare comments would be flying into this site. But she's a white Christian from Alaska – so it's ok.
You should be more offended as an American that Sarah Palin bailed from a Univision interview last year because she didn't know anything about hispanics, but she still feels she was qualified to be our Vice President.
