I almost married a macro chick in my wasted youth. The relationship foundered when I found myself sneaking off to the reasonably priced grocery store for Vienna sausage fixes and finally realized that there was no way on Michio Kushi's ruddy green earth that I could spend the rest of my days living with miso, wakame, daikon, and insane starving liberals.

I've got old movies and a heaping pile of lechón with crispy melt in your mouth skin on the menu for tonight.

I made it my mission in life to teach my kids the proper way to order popcorn. Since the concessions got so cheap with the butter, I make them fill the box fresh, with butter in 3 layers, so there's always enough butter in the popcorn. And it really does come out better that way. And really, isn't that the point? It's part of the entertainment???? Of course we rarely go, not much entertaining going on out there anymore. Is there some secret study saying entertainment is bad for us too?

I wonder what chemical companies make the artificial butter substance that goes on movie theater popcorn. And I also wonder what conservatives sit on the boards of said chemical companies.

Oh wait, I forgot – what about the US Corn Growers Association – I wonder what political characters are associated with that organization. Can you say federal subsidies?

Movie snacks have always been too expensive anyway. It won't change my habit of NOT buying anything at the theater, if I even go to the movies anymore. Just another reason to stay home and keep my hard earned money to myself.
