Where on Earth did you get that funky tune? It scared the hell outta me!
Two things I didn't want in 2009, Obama in the WH, and the Yankees winning the WS for 599787th time.
Terrible year.

Hey Joanna,
I've got a compromise for you for 2010 — how about if the Republicans take the House and Senate and the Yankees win their 28th World Series?
The geek in me loves your picture, makes me have desire to dig out my classic dvds and watch sci-fi, but the Ministry of Truth says I must avoid Sci-fi since stories may make me think, compare and be sad.

So much Obama damage control, that
David Axelrod even talks to Fox News
Here's how desperate Obama administration spokesmen were Wednesday to fill the info void they'd created by hiding away during the previous night's bad news election returns: David Axelrod, an ex-newspaper reporter but one of the lead Obama attackers against the Fox News Channel in recent weeks, actually granted an interview to the Fox News Channel. To Major Garrett.

A Health Care Protest, by Invitation
House Democrats are bracing for a potential invasion of protesters in the Capitol complex on Thursday after Representative Michele Bachmann, Republican of Minnesota, urged opponents of the Democrats’ health care legislation to come to Washington to make their voices heard.
Ms. Bachmann, in an appearance on Fox television Tuesday morning, invited opponents of the health care bill to join her for a news conference at noon Thursday on the steps of the Capitol. And she urged them to visit the offices of individual lawmakers to tell them to vote against the bill.

/Woohooo !
Maureen O'Sullivan! I have never seen a picture of John Farrow, but it must have been a callow looking fellow to have sired Mia Farrow, who is soooooo not in her mom's league in looks.
My parents are bummed they can't go to D.C. to support Michelle Bachmann—-wish I could go as well. Notice the left-wing media continued their milder Sarah Palin style attacks on Bachmann.
Why is it that the leaders with the biggest stones in the Republican party are women? Though Tom Coburn and Fred Thompson are pretty good.
Thompson + Palin 2012; Bavchmann AG, Coburn Surgeon General….anyone?
….."Why is it that the leaders with the biggest stones in the Republican party are women? "
Very good observation
'
I never would have guessed Maureen O'Sullivan. She looks a bit more sensual than I remember her.
I was thinking early Donna Reed.
The new names-
Oldbama
O'Broomstick
I believe in the Individual and the Individuals God given right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I do not believe in an empty suit.
Everyday Obama is in office we lose more jobs, the Democrats don't care, as long as they can control your body through healthcare, and tax you through cap & trade they are happy.
Simple. They're devoted mothers who are scared to death for their children.

Ill repeat what Rush said: I hope Obama FAILS.
Donna Reed was WAY better looking. Check out They Were Expendable sometime. Zowie!
I was thinking more like Palin + Bachmann 2012…
And Ann Coulter as Sec State…
Mark R. Levin for Dept. of Justice…
Anthony J. Tata for Sec Defense…
Rush Limbaugh for FCC Chairman…part time…
Sean Hannity for Press Sec…
Tom Coburn for Surgeon General…
I could list even more, but I don't want to deplete the conservative pool in Congress too much…
That's who that is? I did not recognize her without the "Tarzan, Tarzan" and always messing up in the jungle and having to be saved. However, I can certainly see why he always took her back to the treehouse.
Looks like a very young Jane Russell to me.
Works for me Bennett!
How about that Fox news in the ratings..
CNN is FOURTH and Fox is #1 again.
I'll repeat what Rush said: I hope Obama FALLS. What? Rush said FAILS? I stick by my first wish… I hope he FALLS!
Oh, I'm not really sure what side that insignia's on but I just know you've come to use my "Ray-Gun"!
Mmm, mmm, mmm – Holly would but not her sister!
I was a Mickey Mantle fan as a kid. Rooted for the AL in the WS since the Chicago teams seemed to skip that annual rite [Hurrah! Chisox!!!]- so I pretty much skipped the whole thing, hoped the Phils would win- cuz tell me again why A-Rod and Pettit not only continue to play, make $$$ and win the series- down side of being on the juice???
Maureen WAS Jane.
AND designated hitter for every team (we've seen him pitch, so…)
Check her out in Tarzan the Ape Man (1932). Three words: wow wow wow.
Donna Reed was a delicious looking woman, but most people now only remember her as a mom in THE DONNA REED SHOW back in baby-boomer years and as the ultra-wholesome Mary Bailey in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE……but she was hot elsewhere.
That's why I couldn't ID the photo as being her. She wasn't jumping naked from a tree into a river!
Her grand-daughter is Ione Skye, a mega hottie 20 years ago…never fully had the screen fame she might have.
Maureen O'Sullivan! Obviously you did not have a "that-moment-young-boy-starts-noticing-girls" first, deep and lasting crush on her, as I did, or you would have recognized her even in her civilian garb. (Her dress uniform, Tarzan fans, was a leathery swimsuitesque number used for swinging through jungle vines or riding elephants.)
agree with the both of you. O'Sullivan was cute, but Reed was gorgeous. 'They Were Expendable'- she is amazing looking in that…
Barbara Boxer just rammed through a poorly maned 'energy' bill; more of a precursor to cap and trade- through a Seante committee with not ONE Republican vote. It's a first- generally you need two opposite votes to get it out of committee.
In a different era. When Pelosi was told that her monstrosity of a 'health care' bill could be unconstitutional, she laughed and shrugged it off.
The Constitution of the US, the greatest single document of modern mankind- is merely a speed bump to her on the path to the Guaranteed Outcome…
Citizens of San Francisco should be ashamed of their so-called 'representative'…
I didn't recognize Mia's mama in this picture. The outfit, stance and smoldering look are sexier than I normally would associate with her. Although apparently she had a "naughty" side, too, as many Irish Catyholic girls do. When she began filming TARZAN AND HIS MATE, Jane was to be topless in most of the movie, and apparently she didn't have any problem with that. It got to be such a bother always positioning her so that some branch or leaf covered her breasts that they scrapped the idea and turned her monokini into a bikini. (The famous nude-swim scene, later cut from the movie but now viewable on YouTube, involved a body double.)
Bono tear down that wall! Reagans words got the wall down and U2 shows themselves for the elitist scum they are, profiting behind a wall. Sharon, Rush isn't a sell out whom pretends to be a champion, Rush pretends to be a champion to all the sell outs, and Obama should have a long talk with President Clinton on how fools says they support you and then sabotage it all while blaming the commentator for what they do.
Oh, so you're a racist? Pleased to meet you, according to the left so am I.
Tell me about it. I'm a New Yorker and my dad and brother are rabid Yankee fans (which is probably why I'm a Mets fan). I'm going to be hearing about this for the next 364 days.
Obama will fail, because socialism always does. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, you eventually run out of other people's money.
I like your optimism, Ed.
They're too busy being ashamed of their country.
Is there any legitimate lawsuit/legal action being taken to stop this adminsitration from unconstitutional acts?
it does take up much of their time, doesn't it? Or trying to get a waste treatment plant named after George W Bush, or allowing their 'sanctuary' policy become a haven for criminal illegal immigrants.
Ye, they are busy alright…
Nothing more money wouldn't buy!

Tea partiers hit Capitol
Thousands of Tea Party activists descended on Washington Thursday to protest the trillion dollar health care bill and government spending, holding signs protesting Barack Obama’s agenda while aiming chants of “you work for us” at the Capitol building. .
The gathering was organized by local Tea Party groups around the country, who are arriving in Washington this morning by the busload. Conservative leaders in Congress, led by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), have taken to the airwaves to encourage the activists to show up on the Capitol steps and demand meetings with members of Congress. The crowd grew to about 10,000 by noon. Bachmann has promised to lead some protesters to a press conference inside the Capitol to express their opposition to the health care bill in person to members of Congress.

Hey Bennett – congrats to you and those Damn Yankees. I was afraid for those Phigtin' Phils since Hamels and Lidge both had bad years. Still, they came awfully close. I am happy for you and the other conservatives in Gotham. Still, I feel badly that Chuck-U Schumer and Charlie Rangel are happy today. Still, your proposed compromise reminds us what is truly important. It would be a small price to pay. BTW, though, the g-men looked pretty bad against my iggles Sunday. What's up with that?

Creepy Obama cult worship photos of the day
Last night on Hannity, I discussed the latest batch of Obama education cult worship videos rounded up by John Nolte at Big Government.
I called for the separation of O-cult and state.
To underscore my point, take a look at the featured photos of the day at the White House website, which spotlight the president’s visit to a Wisconsin public school to peddle his latest massive increase in federal education spending:

Always great to see Maureen O'Sullivan who was not only lovely but had one of hte most charming voices ever heard in films. Her husband, the underrated John Farrow, had a pretty good resume as a writer/director with solid, entertaining films that included "Five Came Back", "Wake Island", "The Big Clock" (a personal favorite), "Hondo" (one of the Duke's best roles), and the great film noir "His Kind of Woman." He also wrote the Oscar-winning screenplay for "Around the World in 80 Days." I have heard that he battled alcohol problems most of his life which led to his death at age 58.
Congratulations Yankee Bennett. The Yanks have not been champions since Bill Clinton was President. Makes me almost wish Bush was still in office.
Almost.
How weird it is to watch Pedro Martinez bomb out so poorly after watching him totally dominate my Mariners all those years. Father Time catches everyone sooner or later.
Some web sites require special questions when you forget your password (mother's maiden name, etc…) When they ask "Which team do you always love to see lose?" I always answer "Yankees." (But truthfully, I actually dislike the Oklahoma City Thunder even more.)

TREASON BY SENATE DEMOCRATss! FIGHT ALL DEMOCRATss IN THE STREETS IF NECCESSARY!
very strong and acurate sentiment, and a pretty good beer!
FANTASTIC!
Great seeing all those home grown Yankee farmhands help bring home the title – back where it belongs.
me too!
Maureen O'Sullivan looks angry in that photo
Here are her Tarzan – Jane photos

dd, I can understand a semi perennial champ like the Yankees but the THUNDER? The Thunder?
OH, the old Seattle SuperSonics….nevermind!
Loved Jack Sikma, great all around game and he's from Momence, Ill., my Dad's old hometown.
Congrats to the Yankees. No, really.
But I'm content – my Angels SWEPT the Red Sox.
And we gotta have Thomas Sowell as Sec of the Treasury.
If Matsui never plays another game in a Yankee uniform he gave a perfomance that we'll likely NEVER forget!! The very definition of an athlete being "in the zone." Congratulations to the 27 (and counting) time World Series Champion New York Yankees, and hats off to the National League and defending World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies, for providing a much needed diversion.
Pedro was rough on most teams he pitched against during the peak of his career. Do you live in WA?
Can you arrange that?
Yeah, other people – like us.
Words don't come easy to describe my feelings of both joy and relief. If the Marvelous Matsui played his last game in a Yankee uniform he sure went out with a bang, as opposed to a whimper. 27 WS championships of which I have witnessed 7 first hand and it never gets old. Congrats to the World Champs and a tip of the cap to their worthy adversaries.
GO BOMBERS!!!
Oh yes. Unforgettable.
I'm glad the Angels swept the Bosox too. The Angels finally beat a team that gave them trouble in past post-seasons. I'm a diehard Yankee fan who has much respect for your Angels. They play the game the right way and when Chone Figgens is not driving me nuts are a joy to watch. Good luck next year.
Your Iggles smacked my Jints something fierce. How did they lose to the Raiders? That one is hard to figure out. With the Cowboys waking up should be a fight as usual in the toughest in the NFL.
He was unreal, locked in. I hope if he's healthy he's at spring training next Feb. I heard McCarver or somebody say they have to choose between Johnny Damon and Matsui. I like to see them keep this team as intact as possible. That said YEA! #27!!!!!!!!!
I'm with you and Rt_Thinker, Bennett,
Peace
I feel your pain in regards to the OK City Thunder. Do you root for the Trail Blazers now? I don't think I could. Too many years rooting against them
One of my best friends is a Met fan, as well as many other friends of mine. Funny thing is, is his kids grew up in the 90's and love Derek Jeter and the Yanks, go figure.
spinal – it must be there is something to that old "any given Sunday" thing
I didn't have much of a dog in this fight. I dislike the Yankees simply as a matter of principle, yet I also can't stand the Phillies. Nothing against the team per se, but for some reason their fans really hate the Cardinals, and they are really obnoxious to us fans and to the players. Not saying all of them are like that, just a lot of them, so I wasn't happy or furious to see the Yankees win. I guess congrats to them for winning again, but I still don't like the team.
You're right, Donna Reed was a beautiful women, and she aged gracfully. Don't know much about Maureen O'Sullivan. Didn't she play Jane along with Johnny Weismuller in the Tarzan movies?
Ooh! Good one. Can't leave out Sowell. Although we've got to include Glenn Beck in there somewhere, hmmm…maybe he could replace Anita Dunn as communications advisor or whatever her stupid title is.
I thought that Margeret Thatcher said that. Although I can see Winston Churchill saying it. Whoever is credited with that quote, it is a true statement.
That makes you a racist. Don't ask how, it just does.
Yes, they should be ashamed of her…except for the fact that they are citizens of San Francisco.
The pastor at the Church I attend is a huge Yankees fan too. It's amazing how many baseball metaphors he can work into homilies.
"There is real suffering out there, not only in third world countries, but in our own community. Your neighbors. Sick, poor, unemployed, homeless……Mets fans.
Look at the Daily Kos coverage. It's pathetic. the only picture they have is of their own plant. What a bunch of good little propagandists they arei…

I've seen it attributed to both. I started out planning on referring the Thatcher then thought since Churchill was before her, might be safer to cite him.
Churchill was one hell of a speaker, razor sharp wit.

Oh I know what you mean Tennessee, I know what you mean. That's what can be so vexing and unpredictable in one way, but great when your team is not expected to win, and does.
I would love to see both of them back as well. They both contribute so much to the ballclub that does'nt appear in a box score. Unfortunatly when it comes to a numbers game, someone gets left out, and there does'nt seem to be anything you can do about it. If that's the case Godzilla sure went out with several big bangs.

Yes Thanks – the pain still hurts. I like Coach Nate and Brandon Roy with Portland but my favorite team is always going to be the team George Karl coaches – currently Denver. Seattle mayor Greg Nickels sold out the Sonics and the voters ran his ass out of town.
Sikma was cool. A big man that could really shoot. Best Sonic draft pick ever – from Illinois Wesleyan. Went to the finals as a rookie and won a championship ring in his 2nd year. Seattle retired number 43.
and that would make them shameless, now wouldn't it?
Where is Inspector Callahan when you need him?
