Obama THE FAUX BRO Shows He's Black Enough
Obama speeches from the past to the present. He patronizes and condescends to his audience when he uses his fake accent and tropes.
The short clip at the beginning and end is from 10/27 in Norfolk, VA. Bet you never heard it before.
One of the greatest screen legends in the history of Hollywood….and the one I just have never connected with.
It's gotta be me. Millions of other people can't be wrong.
Let's see if I am alone.
A few years ago, I asked some 20-something non-film fan if she had ever heard of Garbo and she said – "Didn't she make horror films in the 1950s?"
Obama's weight loss – what's up with that? I hope he didn't know he was ill and chose to run for president anyway. This ain't no FDR here.
Posted this on Big Government as well:
Hi Ho, Hi Ho!
It's off to the polls I go.
Gonna vote for McDonnell
And not for Deeds!
Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Hi Ho!
Hope our Commonwealth registers a complete Republican sweep today. Keep your fingers crossed!
And yes, there are bureaucrats like me who aren't dems. There are plenty of us in your federal government. It's just that we're Whack-a-Moles. The second we show our true colors, we're smacked down in many overt and subtle ways, completely contrary to the Hatch Act, but what the hey! It's OK to do violate my First Amendment rights if you are a compassionate liberal.
His boyfriend likes them slim.
Michelle's eating for two.
"I vant to be alone."
"There are plenty of us in your federal government. " There may be a lot of you, but by any reasonable definition of "plenty"- as in 'a sufficient number or quantity'- your ranks are still falling well short of the mark. in any event, continue to fight the good fight from within the belly of the beast…

TOP SEVEN POTENTIAL TITLES FOR NEW MOHAMMED MOVIE

I never said, 'I want to be alone.' I only said, 'I want to be left alone.' There is all the difference.
Every time I am reminded of Greta Garbo I also remember the lovely song "Circus" by Uriah Heep.

Here's hoping for a few RIGHT wins today.
anyone on board for "V" tonight?
If he ate only between nines one would think he would be a bit chubby.
I never paid much attention to her except to appreciate her performance whenever on TMC.
Did she have well placed investments in Hollywood? She was either a smart lady or had well chosen advisers.
That, if true, added some intrigue to her personality.
Gonna go kick Jon Corzine in the rear at the polls! Hoping Mr. Dag-nabbit doesn't spoil it and get Corzine reelected!

I would add the government is going to add to the costs of medical care, simply by mandating coverage that one would or should not normally choose on his own. The "health insurance exchange" will dictate the coverage a healthy 20 -40 something old person MUST have. And I will take bets on whether the coverage dictated must be comprehensive coverage. Instead of promoting personal responsibility through HSA's, FSA's the latest House bill, weakens the effectiveness of those type of accounts coupled with a major medical policy. I'm pointing this out not to point a singular flaw in the bill, but systemic mentality of the statists. If a program doesn't replace personal responsibility of the individual with obligation of the government than it is, according to some folks in government, a non-solution, and therefore the GOP has no solutions. I have a novel idea. Instead of griping that the free markets haven't helped in making coverage affordable, how we try the free market, because right now it isn't really a free market, and this bill is pushing us more away from the free market. Competition my ass.
Sic Semper Tyrannis!
Badabing his @zz out of office!
"The Producer of the Matrix and Lord of the Rings is making a new, high budget biopic of Mohammed! '
…….I think it should be a science fiction movie…..with blood sacrifices, beheadings, kidnappings, bombings,
and it should end with nuclear device being set off in Mecca.

Obama Makes Polygamy a 21st-Century Issue
No sooner had we celebrated the exit of Barack Obama's green jobs czar, Van Jones, because of his Communist connections, another off-the-wall administration embarrassment surfaced. President Obama nominated for commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) a woman who signed a radical manifesto endorsing polygamy

I've got my fingers crossed for that one. I loved the commercial that showed the alien leader promising universal health care.
Garbo is not one of my favorite actresses, but "Ninotchka" is a terrific movie.
Biden vs. Palin: No contest
At a campaign rally for Bill Owens (D), who is running for congress against Doug Hoffman (C) in upstate New York, Vice President Joe Biden (D) was a bit confused. Thinking he saw Alaska and that it borders New York, Biden stated:
"Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is 'Drill, baby, drill,' he said, leaning into the microphone. "It's a lot more complicated, Sarah, than drill baby drill."
according to the CNN Political Ticker.
But the former Alaskan governor knows the geography of her region–and that of her neighbors–quite well. She also is well versed on the need for energy and economic independence which she explained to Biden how to achieve it in her Facebook reply:

WorldnetDaily has an article on how a Christian was fired for not being "tolerant" after having to tolerate a lesbian in his face about her gay marriage. I sent the following to Brookstone (http://www.brookstone.com/customerServiceContactU...
After reading the news that one of your employees was fired for his opinion, I have decided not to shop at your outlets this year. Tolerance is not a one-way, left-wing street:

Oh yes. I'll be forced to pay for coverage I DON'T want and will NEVER need…because they are sure that I just might get ovarian cancer.
Garbo is Garbo, of course and always will be. In the interim, I am just happy Chase pulled the Phils chestnuts out of the fire last night. Hopefully, they can comeback, but either way, it would be nice to see him break Reggie Jackson's (who I played football and baseball against in high school) record.
I have yet to be convinced to support the right, I'm still researching.
But I will gladly hoist a brewski to the defeat of the left!
Here here! Avast yee maties! And send that statists pig down the gang plank!
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggg!
If you want to bring down the cost of anything, get government out of it.
As I understand it, back in the 70's governments mandated insurance companies cover some 250 or so illness. Today its closer to 3,500.
Guess what? That costs money.
I mean, this entire subject makes my head explode. 50 Years ago if you had cancer, they gave you a prescription for morphine, and sent you home to die. That's cheap. Today there a wide array of treatments, and you stand a pretty good chance of living. And that's expensive.
Deal with it.
Run Sarah, RUN! You've already got my vote.
Any one who pisses off liberals they way she does has got to be doing something right.
"Lawmakers are calling on Americans to storm the Capitol on Thursday in an "Emergency House Call on Congress" to stop the House from passing the Democrats' health-care bill this week.
A group of legislators led by Reps. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., will be holding an emergency town-hall meeting outside the Capitol at 12 p.m. to protest the health-care bill set to hit the House floor. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has indicated that a vote on the bill could take place as soon as Thursday. "
Patriot Post humor!
Surround yourself with intelligent people
Barack Obama meets with the Queen of England. He asks her, "How do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips you can give to me?"
"Well," says the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."
Obama frowns. "But how do I know the people around me are really intelligent?" he asks.
"Oh, that's easy," says the Queen. "You just ask them to answer a simple riddle."
Just then Gordon Brown walks into the room.
"Gordon, your mother and father have a child," says the Queen. "It is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?"
Brown answers, "Oh. That would be … me, your majesty?"
"Yes! Very good," says the Queen.
Upon his return to Washington, D.C., Obama asks Joe Biden the same question. "Joe. Your mother and your father have a kid. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?"
"I'm not sure," says Biden. "Let me get back to you on that one." He goes to his advisers and asks every one, but no one can give him an answer. Finally, he ends up in the men's room and recognizes Robert Gates' shoes in the next stall. Biden asks Gates, "Robert! Can you answer this for me? Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"
Gates responds, "That's easy. It's me!"
Biden smiles, and says, "Thanks!" Then, he goes back to speak with Obama.
"Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle. It's Robert Gates."
Obama gets up, stomps over to Biden, and angrily yells into his face, "No, you idiot! It's Gordon Brown!"
I am watching. As a disclaimer I watched the original as a young teen.
Me and it better be better than the first one.
If this is a mini-series, then be prepared for very little of consequence to happen tonight b/c they pad this stuff big time.
Who is the pretty alien chick, btw? If she offers clones of herself to Earth men, she has a pretty good chance of taking over the planet with little or no opposition…except from the Japanese who are getting close to marketing their female sex-bots and then taking over the world.
Kent Brockman speaking – "I, for one, welcome our new hottie chick overlords."
Gangbangers GOTV in New Jersey?
What's that in the air?
Why, it's:
AHHH! THE SWEET SMELL OF A NEW JERSEY LAWSUIT!
http://naturalfake.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/ahhh-...
Haven't decided yet. Never saw the original and was kind of 'ho-hum' about it at first, but I'm slightly more intrigued now that I've seen some reviews. The whole sycophantic media thing almost looks too good to pass up, not to mention the whole health care bit.
hahahahaha

One flaw–the joke assumes Gordon Brown is intelligent!!!
Indeed, even the first has elements of both these factors.
Kick some AZZ for me my friend! BOOYAH!
Ah, that's all I need. Two wives!
I can barely handle the one I have now. If there were more, they'd team up on me.
Biden thinks he can see Alaska from his house.
I'm not really a Garbo fan either, although I also like Ninotchka, as well as Grand Hotel (mainly due to Crawford & Beery) and Anna Christie (due to the great Marie Dressler).
She did have a lovely face.
On a lighter note – Someone is offering a very complete collection of Vogue Picture Records from the 1940s.
Got 300K?

When I used to collect records, we would pass these by or pick them up as cheap novelty items. Who knew anyone would ever take them seriously?
Finally got to watch "Mad Men."
A rather sobering (but good!) episode with coincidental timing to current events & mood of nation.
There is a new AVATAR trailer out. The visuals are fantastic, but if you thought the first trailer was disappointing, this one won´t change your mind. The movie looks even more unsubtle and predictable than I feared. And the dialogue, oh my.
"We have an indigenous species called the Na´vi – and they are very hard to kill."
"Those savages are threatening our whole operation!"
"You get me what I need, I´ll see to it that you get your legs back. Your real legs."
"Did you forget what team you´re playing for?"
"This is OUR land!"
There, I just summed up the plot in five clichéd lines.
Damn, I wanted to like this. Maybe teenagers will?
For those who are sane enough to realize free markets, capitalism and democracy are the key to the highest living standards humans ever produced, here's an extensive collection of Dr. Thomas Sowell's writings on "
The Economics of Medical Care."

Education is the first step to stopping this monstrosity!
Thanks for the great picture of Greta Garbo. She's another 'star' with timeless looks , great presence and a large, lasting influence on International high fashion. One of her movies that always works for me is 'Ninotchka'. It's funny, well written and with a great supporting cast, Miss Garbo handles comedy effortlessly. In a funk? See this movie.
Another movie that's a 'funk fighter' was on TCM yesterday: 'How To Murder Your Wife' with Jack Lemmon, Terry Thomas, Virna Lisi, Claire Trevor, (The marvelous) Eddie Mayehoff, and other recognizeable character standouts. Funny stuff…especially if you were around during the early days of 'Women's LIb' with Gloria Steinem, Bella Abzug, Betty Freidan and a dress- wearing Phil Donahue. Watch the movie and you'll understand the references.
A list of "shovel-ready," "job creating" stimulus projects.

Al Gore could become world's first carbon billionaire
Al Gore, the former US vice president, could become the world's first carbon billionaire after investing heavily in green energy companies.
LET'S BUST THIS PIG, BREAK HIM…MAKE HIM GET A REAL JOB, NOT PIMPING "CLIMATE CHANGE"!
I've always thought that Garbo came across as very cold. Not at all like Ingrid Bergman, who radiated beauty.
hmmm.. that is where he keeps his clown shoes.
That's one reason he's light in the loafers.
wasn't a big part of the original the fact that noone knew they were monsters underneath?? if we already know that (since it IS a remake), then what's the point exactly????
I have NCIS, NCIS-LA, and The Forgotten tonight… much too busy!
…."I can barely handle the one I have now. If there were more, they'd team up on me. "
LOL
It would be He!!
But if I had 2 wives they would have to be in 2 states
Obama marks election
anniversary with sabbatical
News fairly unbalanced. We report. You decipher.
President Obama marked the one-year anniversary of his election by announcing he would take a nine-month sabbatical "to rest and refresh after a grueling year of staggering accomplishment."
The former college professor said fulfilling his campaign promises has been "exhausting, but satisfying," and he needs time to regroup, retool and make plans for his remaining seven years.

Wives are constantly in one state or another.
I think dinner will be a bit cold tonight.
We may return to that policy sooner than we may think. I always thought I was lucky
to live during this period of all that is American. My later years may not be so lucky
as my America changes. Two more years will tell us with a hint of whats to come tonight.
Re Election totals.
It is time to take back your party.

Do you have the guts?
The 3-D had better be mind-blowing, because I agree–painful cliches abound, and I'm not sure Sigourney's enough to get me to plunk down the higher admission for 3D/Imax/CameronVision. But then, I knew how Titanic was going to end and I enjoyed the hell out of it, so…
He's on the brown again.
Lookin' like we did!
CORZINE CAN SUCK IT!!! A'ight, Christie, you're in – don't blow it!
Provided it's during the Haj.
Agreed. I'm typing this after having read the morning paper. The statists lost NJ and Virginia. They may have pulled out NY-23, 49% – 46%, but there are still some 20% of the districts to chime in.
In my opinion, the real question is, how will the President's handlers interpret the results. They may decide its time to slow down in order to help out Congressional democrats in 2010. Or they may decide they're already finished, and need to move even faster before 2010.
Time will tell.

BOOM Shakalaka! Corzine's bit the big one!
yeah, but think of all the costs in gas that will be needed traveling back and forth.
so where is he sticking his head to cause that part to get so filled with air?
Have never seen a Garbo movie myself, but I really really like that quote.
You are succint in your appraisal, I could say the same for Meryl Streep- had you seen Queen Christina?
