Why didn't the peer review process work with regard to the hockey-stick graph info and Hansen's work? Why did it take some retired businessman to find the errors?

This was a very good video and I really appreciate it.
The only thing that I could wish for was more discussion about the scientific experiments upon which the CO2 scare is based. This being the examination of Antaartic Ice Cores. A core is taken and the ice broken up by year. It is placed in a vacuum chamber and allowed to melt. Measuring the level of CO2 gas they predict what the CO2 level on the planet was at that time. This is another hockey stick graph as well.
They state that the ppm (parts per million) of CO2 went from 280 to 380 in 50 years. They make the prediction it will be 900 ppm by 2025 (at least in the other documentary "The Global Warming" an Al Gore type variant. There is very little discussion of how this is supposed to be so, no real expalanation as to how it ties to other experiments such as Greenland ICe Cores which do not agree except to state "Calcium Carbonate" is the factor. I was really hoping to see somenone do thoughtful analysis of this. However I did find the video to be really good and informative.

Excellent piece of work. Salient points. I found it to be very informative and convincing. I am just wondering how much effect this will have on the Al Gores of the world. They seem to be very difficult to convince.
I have had heated discussions regarding the erroneous NASA temperature data. Even when faced with the hard facts that NASA had it wrong, they would still argue in a circle and eventually say "the 1990's and early 2000's were so hot" and "the Earth is on fire" and other such nonsense. It's like they can't be convinced they are have bad information.
Just finished watching the whole thing, this should be required viewing for anyone who has been forced to watch Al Gore's movie.

I love the format, I think this is the future. No more having to travel to share ideas, philosophies and network. It is ironic that we are now more grass roots than they ever were.
Overall a good counter to the environmentalist trash being spewed out. I do wish it would have gone into a bit more detail on a few things such as the science behind banning DDT. The fact that birds being used as test subjects were fed a calcium deficient diet along with DDT to achieve the desired result of a thin egg shell shows the lengths that they will go to subvert science to support their predetermined conclusion that DDT was bad.
The 9-12 group in my city is holding a viewing at the city auditorium. So there are more watching than 9500.

When I see him huffing and puffing on his bike to get to one of his global warming summits, then he might have something.
Lets break this down.
-Just under 10,000 people were watching this at its peak on Ustream. Lets round up and say its 10,000 people.
-According to the producers there are 1,400 “screening locations” across North America.
-If each of the 1,400 screening locations has 50 people (not every location can have 50 people but lets use a nice round number that is practical) and run the numbers. 1,400 X 50 = 70,000. Add the 10,000 + 70,000 = 80,000 people in total just watched.
– Since everyone saw this film for free (just like Michael Moore’s “Slacker
Uprising Tour”) if we assume everyone who watched to night purchased a
DVD from the website for $19.95. 80,000 X $19.95 = $1,596,000.
That is all I’m going to say.

I watched it all until the Ustream feed was cut off. I have a couple of observations.
The film was good. Very well done and moderate in it's criticism of Gore and the environmental movement. It may have some chance of swaying the brainwashed who get a chance to see it. Which, unfortunately, will be about 3 people.
The title is really the only thing I found wrong with it. The fanatical environmental movement is clearly anti-human and callous. Elton John without his piano equates with millions of children dying needlessly. Wanting to slap a mother because she wants a better future for her children. The banality of evil is on clear display in this film.
Not for nothin', but as much as I love Andrew Breitbart he's a lousy moderator. Ann and John Fund were the highlight of what was supposed to be a Q&A. Gawd, there really are some dumb people out there who have no idea how dumb they are.

I really have a problem with the title of this movie. I think it should be: Not Only Wrong, But Evil. These evil lies have caused people to die from malaria (DDT), die from starvation (bio-fuels), badly frightened children (and feel helpless and guilty), and threaten to end industries/jobs. These lies could make the Great Depression look like child's play. It's EViL.
On another note, I have a friend who lives in Nashville. It seems the ordinary folk think he's a bag of hot air and scum. On earth day when everyone was to turn off their lights… guess whose house was lit up like a Christmas tree? Yep. Gore aka gore the taxpayers.

Anne made a brilliant comment in the press conference afterward. She said that Christians should be offended that GW religion is being taught in the classrooms. I agree, and am wondering why some enterprising lawyer doesn't sue a school district for forcing students to study religion, thereby forcing GW zealots to defend it in a court of law. Even if you don't win the case, just being able to swear Gore in and forcing him to answer questions he's been dodging for a decade would be great.
There is no 'moral difference'. A life is a life, however long or short. The fact that you somehow managed to argue against abortion but didn't notice your own hypocrisy is astounding. A few points; first off everyone should take Ann's comments during the Q&A to heart about the fundamentalist aspect to GW theory. This is a fantastic analogy, and given the mindless followers of this liberal agenda, proves that fundamentalism of any type is intellectually lazy.
Also, and this is not news, but the right needs to ramp up their use and exploitation of new media and technologies, or the younger generations will never even hear the message, let alone see an opposing one.

I went to a public showing of the DVD at a GW University dormitory in downtown DC. There were about 20 enthusiastic college kids there, which was nice to see, since I had thought that all college students today were brain-washed global warmers. To me, the high points of the movie were the section on DDT and the section on the debunking of the hockey stick. I would have like to have seen a higher technical level of discussion throughout (maybe I read too much WUWT), but otherwise, it was a great job by the filmmakers.

Back in 1970 when I was in College at NIcholls State Univ. in Thibodaux we had our very own Earth Day. I was going between classes and listened to a few of the speakers. I never had heard such non-sense. They were saying how we would not be able to breath the polluted air, how we would run out of oil by 1990, how millions of people would die from this and that. I was a Micro-Biology Major and Chemistry Minor in my Freshman year and saw the Hucksterism of the whole false argument. All these experts talking about doom and none of them recognizing that the things that they were complaining about were the things that made our way of life possible. Increased life spans are mainly due to more food which is manly due to oil and pesticdes. It was a misguided effort at best and very dangerous propoganda at worst. Nothing has changed. The same doomsayers the same idiotic message.
Loved it, very informative.. I hope more will watch this and open their eyes on what's really going on with the lies we are being told on this issue from the crazies like Gore.. TY to everyone involved in making this movie..and of course Breibart for doing all that he does to get this out there.

It was very telling what the female environmentalist stationed in Uganda had to say about the birds dying and people dying of cancer from DDT. She saw no moral difference between a CHILD dying of malaria and an ADULT dying of cancer. For those of you who may not follow what I'm eluding to here, the difference is about 20 to 40 years worth of living. I guess that fact is lost on the progressive left which would also explain their stance on abortion. But who am I to question whether the birds of Uganda want the chance or have a right to live or not.
And as she sat there listening to the birds of Uganda singing in celebration of life, did anyone notice the absence of children laughing and playing in the background?
What people don't realize is that people like Al Gore and other "green" pushers stand to make a profit off of any pro-environment legislation that Obama wants to pass.

Excellent film, and thanks for showing it! I loved the contrast between the people who are actually losing their children and the "concerned" environmentalists who are trying to explain why the deaths of 300+ children a day is a good thing. As someone who's been unemployed now for over seven months, it's easy to see how wrong-headed environmentalism actually is. Here in America the left wing is systematically destroying our economy so that birds can sing and be happy? The developing nations are developing simply because they put their people's needs first, what an odd concept!
Oh, and the funniest line was when the woman wanted us to imagine the "horror" of Elton John without a piano. They not only have no concern for their fellow man, but they have awful taste in music to boot!
These environmentalists sound not just wrong, but evil in a horrendously banal way. They smile and tell us how wonderful the world would be if we could simply get rid of all these "extra" people. It's like listening to National Socialists telling us how wonderful the East would be if we could simply rid it of Jews, Bolsheviks and lesser races.
I think the tide is turning (or I sure hope it is), but one of the big stumbling blocks to that is the natural aversion that most people have to ever admitting that they're wrong. I think it needs to start somewhere at the top. This has to be handled at that level (amongst others) because millions of gullible people have emotionally invested their very credibility into this issue. Somebody Big is going to have to find some Big balls and bring the Big Mea Culpa on this one in order to get the ball(s) rolling.
To that end, I have hastily assembled a humble suggestion.

We had about 15 people at the local screening I attended. I will be interested to hear how the other screening locations did.
My husband and I attending a local showing. Only 13 other people present.
Hubby's take was there was too much fluff and emotive content, not enough facts. He dislikes when progressives use emotion/fear to sell their agenda and objects just as strongly when conservatives do the same.
One thing we need to investigate further is the DDT issue. I am beginning to suspect that the DDT fear was the 'crisis' of our grade-school years and we bought into the propaganda without checking it….just like those poor UK children in the NEBW movie.
Were you struck by how sober, how heavy those children looked? I was so troubled by their faces…they have been robbed of their childhood…they all think they are in imminent danger of drowning due to rising sea levels because of global warming! How do these young children run around and engage in play and discovery when they have this psuedo-crisis poisoning their thoughts?
What has been done to our children in the government school system is criminal.

But here's something you might want to consider, If a 14 year old started smoking cigarettes today it is statistically, let alone biologically impossible that they are going to develope and die from cancer tomorrow. Now factor that in for every teen who starts smoking today. Next, consider the fact that virtually every single person reading these boards has a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or family friend who is alive and well today but took up smoking in their teens. DEVELOPING AND DYING FROM CANCER IS A STATISTICAL CRAPSHOOT. CHILDREN DYING FROM MALARIA IN THIRD-WORLD NATIONS ARE A PRETTY SAFE BET!!!!!

We were very energized that the film was made and respectful of the bravery it took to produce with all the death threats are being sent to the producers. Additionally, the announcement of the BIG ENVIRONMENT was the best news possible — to further this message.
A suggestion to the producers/ the esteemed panel members to help us laymen further this message. . .please draft a suggested reading list (articles and books) as well as some basic discussion points to counter Gore disciples who are fervently practicing the green religion. . .This IS Day One. . .we can do this if properly informed.
