Well obviously Roman should have taken a lesson from Letterman and phrased his confession in the form of a JOKE, then it would have been 100% OK. Freakin' hollywood weirdos anyway, they can all go take a long walk off a short pier IMO.
WhoopiDoo is a bag of trash – she just needs to stfu – no one cares about her chit. Calling drugging a 13 yr old child NOT rape, and than saying that the child 'gave permission, as well as the parents' – um. I think she got Natassia Kinski mixed up with the drugged and KNOCKED OUT child. And Natassia was a child as well, and it dont matter if she agreed to it: she was NOT capable of giving permission, and her parents should be locked up as well.
I like how SNL is mocking them, but not really judging them for their beliefs. This is also how they treat our "Dear Leader", they may poke fun at his style and delivery but never really attack him on his content or actions. Even though that's where the true comedy lies. This is the first time I have watched any form of SNL in years. Whoopi, Joy, Seth…it's like watching a clip of Stalin mocking Hitler- all involved make you sick.
I understand SNL mocking Behar's and Goldberg's mannerisms, but I just don't find it funny, because the subject matter cannot be trivialized. Would people laugh at a skit mocking Pol Pot's mannerisms as he killed millions of his countrymen?
Anyone who defends Polanski exposes a moral and ethical paucity that cannot be ignored nor forgotten. Notice to those mendacious "entertainers" who defend such a deranged set of values….I will never again invite you into my home, my imagination, or my wallet. Well, that was kind of a missed opportunity, if you ask me. Sure hope South Park has something to say about this situation.
I was hoping they'd focus on the issue, but then I realized, they're liberals, and they only real weapon most libs have when they disagree with you is to personally attack you. Once again I am driven to try and remind Hollywood that they are jesters, jokers, and minstrels and NOONE EVER takes a jester seriously except at their peril, because jesters have no knowledge worth knowing, nor an opinion worth sharing.
As noted above, the list of actors that I can stand to watch shrinks by the day. Just because someone has the right to express an opinion, does in no way equate to the weight or wisdom of said opinion. Some people are like children- to be seen and not heard.

True, I would like to see a list of the supporters that also have daughters. I bet it is a small list.

Just to be clear on this, there was no consent. The victim was a child of thirteen, legally well below the age of consent. Without consent, it is rape, pure, simple and evil. Nothing statutory about it. And the laws are there very specifically to protect children.
Anybody who defends this act is horrible filth. I'll be writing to T-Mobile regularly to explain why I won't be using their services.

While SNL does tend to go after conservatives much more than liberals, I did notice a skit they did last fall about the Manhattan reporters going to Alaska to dig up dirt on Palin and about how smarmy and out of touch with middle America they were. Granted, it wasn't really a defense of Palin, but it was nice to see the New York Times get lambasted.

I'm going to guess NBC legal made him say 'statuatory.' I actually think it's a pretty good mockery: Whoopi's been taking it between the eyes since she made the comments, and to be portrayed by a a man even fatter than yourself isn't exactly a light touch. (Remember John Goodman playing Linda Tripp?) The audience reaction was pretty in synch with people who knew the original comment was b.s. I think the overall disconnect between the Polanski apologizers and the 99.99999% of the real world is pretty clear now & growing. Overall the show was abysmally unfunny from start to finish, though, and the ratings back that up. (last in time slot overnight)

Overall the show was abysmally unfunny from start to finish, though, and the ratings back that up. (last in time slot overnight)
Where are the open threads?? Can i just say that even though the narration is a little too snoozy, the National Parks series on PBS has had some of the most amazing photography I've seen in a long time.
