What a beautiful woman! Sure glad she changed her name; don't think Tula Finklea has the same ring as Cyd Charisse.
To be able to dance like Cyd….heaven. Wanted to give a hearty congrats to O'Keefe, Giles, and the Big Hollywood and Big Government crews for that 83 to 7 smackdown of ACORN funding. I highly doubt it could have happened without you. Many thanks!
but those videos were doctored and highly edited, right? I mean those fired ACORN workers should really get a lawyer and file a wrongful termination suit. They either were fired for their actions or the tape is doctored. They can't have it bothways.
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9ANEHHO1...
In the eyes of so many Americans, Mr. Wilson, you are being rebuked by Pelosi and the House democrats for speaking the truth.
I don't often give my money voluntarily to a politician, but in Mr. Wilson's case, and to show my utter contempt and disgust for Pelosi and her House dems, I will gladly be doing so as soon as the rebuke is voted on.
We have got to drum into the American voter the symbiotic Obama/Acorn relationship. The SCM won't do it so we must.
The reason the Clinton's skated as their friends went to jail was because the SCM did not tell voters of the various and open connections the Clinton's had with these lawbreakers.
Why are we so afraid to put two and two together?
but those videos were doctored and highly edited, right? I mean those fired ACORN workers should really get a lawyer and file a wrongful termination suit. They either were fired for their actions or the tape is doctored. They can't have it bothways.
Of course they can! It's the prerogative of any corrupt liberal to be able to speak out of both sides of his or her mouth, BP. Better watch yourself. You're gonna get labelled a hypocritist.
Freed Iraqi shoe thrower tells of torture in jail
The Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at George Bush has marked his release from jail by angrily defending his action and claiming he was tortured after his arrest.

Because it makes you and I Racist
Didn't you get the memo ?
I'm figuring the only way to rebel now is to add "ist" to everything. And as obnoxious as things have gotten, I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before libs start making despisal of even bad things like being a hypocrite or a hater taboo, so I'm trying to stay ahead of the curve. Yup, I'm a hatist.
Thanks for the photo of the immortal Cyd Charisse. I'm just about to face a long tiring day and thinking about Cyd really spruced up my voltage (to quote from "Stalag 17.") When I was a kid and first saw Cyd and Fred Astaire doing "Dancing in the Dark" in "The Bandwagon" I suddenly realized what genuine class, style and romance were all about. Where are the Cyd Charisses of the world when we really need them?
I have to agree with Larry Elder on F&F today. Wilson was rude, he was inappropriate, but he wasn't racist. We on the Right need to be able to make our points with decorum and class. The Right needs to be above reproach in all ways. if we sink to the Left's level, then they control the debate. If we make them come up to our level, we might actually be able to get stuff done.
If not, it'll at least make them angry and froth at the mouth, which will drive independents ever rightward.
apparently my posts are disappearing today.
but I think it will call myself a h8terist
(i really dislike having to out think the censors with stuff like this, when some folks can get away with using the forbidden 7 words.)
Well hells bells, Joe Wilson is going to be reprimanded by the house, hopefully there will be paper work. Frame that puppy Joe, frame it, and display it as a badge of honor
Pelosi decided against it before she decided for it.
I know what you mean. I only found out I was being moderated for using an@lysis because another poster caught it in his. Sadly (blonde disorder and all) it took me a minute to realize why.
BTW- h8terist is sooooo hip! (The kids still say hip, right??)

So I guess the old quote "The revolution will not be televised" is true. The mainline media are not showing the September 12th rallys accurately. How many were there? How many attended?
interesting.
I respectfully disagree.
Conservatives have been trying to be above reproach for 40 yrs at least. The Left only sees it as weakness.
This is one of the most perilous times in American politics I have ever seen, and conservatives have neither the time nor the luxury of being polite and nice with the metastizing cancer that is the Obama administration.
"Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves." ~~D.H. Lawrence, Classical American Literature, 1922
Prescient catch, Buckwheat:
"The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" by Gil Scott-Heron.
The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised,
will not be televised, will not be televised.
The revolution will be no re-run brothers;
The revolution will be live.
I watched this just to see how a liberal (though the cutie claims she isn't) deals with facts. It's sad (but she's still a cuties).
Hannity Goes One-on-One With Fran Drescher
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,513818,00.htm...
I know… I saw that too… it dispicable… I say charge those boys with a hate crime…
O'Reilly said that there were around 75,000 and that number came from the Fire Marshalls office… I think it would be better though if one of England's papers was right and it was 2 million…
He ought to have a keg party after the reprimand with his supporters, who I'm sure are many. He can say it's the first of many, and he'll get even more supporters. Go Joe!
Black thug barges his way on stage.
Black thug grabs the microphone from the hands of a 75 pound young white girl who wins the award.
Tells the crowd another black person should have won the award.
Gets a headline guest spot on Jay Leno
Perfect, that's how things work in the new America.
Conservatives try, but there's a difference between being above reproach and being a doormat. News people love stories of politicians and scandals, and they'll report them either way (they just leave off the party affiliation when it's a Democrat in trouble). If the media don't report the scandal, then people will look to those sources who do. And eventually, they'll notice that one party is more corrupt/morally bankrupt than the other, and it may sway the thinking of some.
I'm not saying we need to agree with the Dems on any point. But the politicians need to pick the right forum for editorial. A joint session of Congress is not the place for a grade-school outburst. An op-ed piece in the NY Times listing all Obama's lies with cited references is a much better method.
Surely there are satellite photos of DC at the height of the rally. Anybody got a link?
Excellent opinion on the morality – or I should say lack there of – of taxes by Dennis Prager.
http://jewishworldreview.com/0909/prager091509.ph...
Heck, I'll host a keg party right here in his honor!
In ordinary times, I might agree with you.
I don't need to remind you of how dem's behave on the House floor toward a president they hate, and not simply one isolated incident.
My estimation is that Mr. Wilson swayed many more people toward conservative thinking than he turned away. Conservatives have taken the licks from the Left long enough. Turning the other cheek any longer is counter-productive. People are fed up with rolling over, and the best means to make that known is what Mr. Wilson did and where he did it, especially in the face of a president lying through his teeth to America the entire time he was speaking.
I applaud Mr. Wilson for doing so
Not a satellite photo, but a photo from above the crowd in DC:

Uhm, there are drunken bores of all colors and stripes.
Yeah go on stage drunk and racist and humilate a young white girl, get a guest spot on Leno, yeah that's the ticket.
The ruder, louder, more arrogant ,and obnoxious a black person is towards a white the more the black community love it.
I think I see an NAACP image award in Kanye Wests future.
It's not about race. . .It's no different to the jackass Russell Brand's (who IICR is white) attempted humilation of Jordin Sparks at a previous award show.
Now go back to SF.
*MissQuinn*
Big Hollywood,
Nice photo.
The only reason Pelosi, the democrats, the left and the MSM have latched on to this story is because they are desperate to shift attention from their own actions on health care.
They'd bring up resolutions against a republican for taking the last cookie from the House cafeteria if they thought it would gain traction.
It's been on the news for several days now. I say quit giving him publicity. Everyone knows he's a complete dirtbag, so there's no need to report on it anymore. Beyonce did right by Taylor Swift and was appropriately outraged by Kanye's actions. Next story, please.
She'll be seeing a$$holes of every kind in show biz! Welcome to the world, million dollar baby!
You do not belong on this site, R.Greene.
You should check out "Silk Stockings" too. It's a musical, again with Astaire, where she plays a Russian dancer and Astaire an American who wins her over with a pair of silk stockings. She's a hottie in that too.
No, No, NO.
That is road we do NOT want to go down.
Crime is crime. Period.
Charge them with assault.
Screw the MSM, we've got the new alternative media, and they're covering it every where!
The black community is hardly rallying behind West. West has thrown tantrums when he himself has lost to other black artists. It's not racial–West is just a d0uchE.
The most merciful one, Barack Hussein The Wise Obama just flew over my head on his way from Lordstown, OH, to Pittsburgh.
It was actually pretty awesome. I still shouted "YOU LIE!"
These dreary and hoary old 'charges' of so called 'racism'. It's time to stop living in fear of such accusations.
Why does this poster have -2 as a rating? He speaks the truth.
Okay, I've finally decided that the two greatest lines in all of movie history are:
1) "All those moments will be lost in time like tears. . .in. . .rain." –Rutger Hauer in BLADE RUNNER
2) "How dare you say penis to a dead woman." –Lilly Tomlin in ALL OF ME
Leno was far too easy on this low-life.
I know… I was being facetious… because we all know that if it were the other way around it would be called a hate crime…
Leno has never been confused with Mike Wallace when it comes to interviews. But I did think the "what would your mother have said?" was a pretty good jab.
Yes, I watched a little of it once the Chargers/Raiders games ended. (And that was a great game!) But I'm not a Neilsen viewer! I didn't boost his ratings!
Cyd Charisse- looks yummy and leggy in the photo above. Magical in the 'Dancing in the Dark' sequence in THE BAND WAGON. I didn't dig the long ballet in SINGING IN THE RAIN. I must have missed her other films. Does she ever speak? Any heat from her aside regular dancer heat? *Learn some basic dances, men. It's a portal to another world of Cyd Charisse types and similar allures.

So you push the rights of Hats?
joke
Most likely it will come out that the white kid used the "N-word" at some point, and the implication will be that, thus, he "got what he deserved." It's been my experience that whenever video or reports like this emerge, that's always the first line of defense, that the perpetrator is actually the victim, striking out, striking back, at America's shameful legacy of hate, bigotry and racism. And so on. And then everyone's like, "Yeah, right, okay…" And life goes on.
I support hats and hatters and hope they have the mental health program their profession requires.
you, yelling at planes. are you dressed like Obi Wan?
that visual makes me laugh
Of course she spoke! Find "Silk Stockings" (a musical Ninotchka remake) or one of my favorites, "It's Always Fair Weather."
Nathan –
It could be argued that making them angry and froth at the mouth is a worthy goal unto itself.
Leno wasn't going to embarrass West on his debut show and possibly get the rest of the entertainment community up in arms.
Leno isn't an investigative reporter, he's an entertainer…which makes him like most of the reporters in the MSM, right?
Consider yourself reprimanded, rebuked, disapproved of, or whatever else that bunch of Pelosi ding-dongs come up with………….
/ sarc
Of course he was tortured. He was in Iraqi custody, not American custody.
Which means he was protected from having to listen to the Barney theme song. Oh the inhumanity.
Count me in!
Thankee!
Or maybe one, or two, or all three are major league ass wipes. At this point none of us know what really started it.
When I was in high school, a huge fight broke out in the back. When I turned around to see, one guy had the other bent over at the waist and was kneeing him in the face. broken nose, blood every where.
The next day I learned the guy with the broken nose was pulling the other guy's hair, was told to stop several times or he'd be sorry.
In other words, the guy that looked like an asshole during the fight, was actually in the right, and the guy with the broken nose was ass. Even his older brother agreed, Tom was right to deck him.

Support their rights? Aw, hecky no. Hats have got to be the most spoiled class of clothing there is. Always on top. Never having to face the crushing masses of a hamper. Even when they aren't in use they're given positions of nobility on coat racks, bed posts, or the occasional antler. Nope, absolutely 100 percent against them. ☺

Joe Wilson for President?
The hosts of Fox Business Network's "Happy Hour," Eric Bolling, Rebecca Diamond and Cody Willard, contemplated that possibility on their Sept. 14 show, which comes on the eve of a vote on a "resolution of disapproval" on Wilson for calling out "You lie!" as President Barack Obama spoke to a joint-session of Congress Sept. 9

Bible-Era Mystery Vessel Found — Code Stumps Experts
It didn't look like much at first, just a broken, mud-caked stone mug.
But when archaeologists in Jerusalem cleaned the 2,000-year-old vessel, they discovered ten lines of mysterious script.
These were common stone mugs that appear in all Jewish households" of the time, said lead excavator Shimon Gibson of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
"But this is the first time an inscription has been found on a stone vessel" of this type.
Deciphering the writing could provide a window into daily life or religious ritual in Jerusalem around the time of Jesus Christ

Hat supporters. Pfft, all alike. Big tent utopian dream. You show me a hat that would even deign to go under a tent and maybe I'll consider your argument. And trucker caps don't count. They're caps afterall and caps are different. They know about getting dirty, living with sweat rings. Nothing like those elitist hats.
HuffPost Denver Launches, With Axelrod's Son as Editor
We told you earlier this summer that White House senior advisor David Axelrod's son Ethan Axelrod joined HuffPost as editor of the local edition in Denver.
Now "HuffPost Denver" is up and running. Bloggers include locals and former locals Governor Bill Ritter, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, author and historian Dr. Patricia Limerick, and former Senator Gary Hart.
"We're delighted to launch HuffPost Denver as our third local version of The Huffington Post," Arianna Huffington said in a press release annoucing the launch today. Chicago and New York are the other two local versions.

Which under Congress' health care plan, will probably include treatment with mercury. Lots and lots of mercury.
The Kanye/Swift MTV incident was a total setup. MTV put him up to it, just like they set up the Borat/Eminem incident. Beyonce was in on it too (she and her husband are best friends with Kanye)… The only one wasn't in on it was Taylor Swift. It was the only reason they gave her the award in the first place. The real winners? MTV, Beyonce, and Jay Leno. The bosses all watched and giggled as Kanye created a media sensation for them, and today they are laughing all the way to the bank. How long will people buy into the garbage they spew out?
I saw live footage on Fox News, there is no way there were only 75,000 people. I thought 2 million might be overblown, but I hope not.
there you go trying to seperate us. Head coverings whether they be hats, caps or scarves or doo rags, secular or religious, solid or print, messaged or plain, protective or non all have a common goal. That people would focus on our differences is not the America I know.
I rather doubt it was staged. For one thing, if it was, I think we'd have heard about it by now, and for another, some reports stated that Swift and her mom were crying backstage after the incident. Which doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't staged, but Swift clearly wasn't in on it, which is just as bad. At the same time, though, I have no doubt the talk-show guys were gleefully rubbing their hands at this wealth of new material.
Right, except Leno doesn't pretend to be something he's not.
Oh, I'm sure Swift wasn't in on anything–but I can imagine Kanye thinking he'd drop a bomb to spike viewers on Leno, at least to boost his own sales. It's likely far more people watched Leno than the VMA's anyway.
ooo, I don't even know what that is and I want it.
ok I just figured that out.
And yes I am a Hypocritist.
You're actually saying that a baseball cap, that allowed it's very surface to be marred for the sake of advertising and promoting business, is the same as a gently moulded fedora that never even knew the suffering of a hot glue gun? Madness, man. Sheer madness.
Wilsons sentiment was right, and lord knows I like a politician who has balls, but it was still rude, and damaging to the cause. And all the shirts saying, Wilson for 2012? Give me a Fucking Break, he called the President a liar, get over it.
I watched this just to see how a liberal (though the cutie claims she isn't) deals with facts. It's sad (but she's still a cutie).

Cyd Charisse dancing with Gene Kelly
Now that is dancing
Its one big hollywood cesspool.
Did ya flip Air Force One the middle finger salute as it passed overhead, or did you genuflect and weep?
you can be a hatist. as for me, I am a haterist
the use of the word hater should be banned for anyone over 30 (so should "bling," "whatever," and off the ____[chain, hook, hizzy, etc.]." but that is another discussion) but if you add interesting suffixes to it, I will make an exception.
UPDATE: this is the missing post mentioned above.
I think Joe Wilson should bitchslap Kanye West all the way back to da-hood.
I think it says something about beware of forked tongued false doom prophet fear mongers from the darkside.
Re: Kanye–my cynical self suspects it was all a plan to boost the ratings of Leno's first night, and it paid off. I know, it's a reach, but after the Bruno/Eminem debacle, it's not impossible. As crappy as it was, let's remember Beyonce showed real class, and Swift probably got more (positive) press than if the incident hadn't happened.
I just saw the tiny indie film "Big Fan," starring Patton Oswalt (voice of Ratatouille's Remy the Rat) and written and directed by Robert D. Siegal, who wrote "The Wrestler." Wow. While this is definitely not a movie to re-awaken your faith in the beauty of the human spirit (Oswalt plays a schlub at a dead end job who's sole joy occurs when he calls in nightly to pontificate on a local radio sports show; his life takes a turn after an unfortunate encounter with his favorite NY Giants player), Oswalt does a superb job, and the final sequence of the film is incredibly tense and well done. It's a slice of life–not a happy one, but I can't praise Oswalt enough. Add him to the list of comics who have great dramatic acting chops. Like "The Wrestler," the film presents a literally grey America, but while Randy the Ram at least had hope of regaining his former glory (no matter how futile) Oswalt's Paul is sadder–a failure with no ambition to move beyond his parking lot attendant job and his cramped childhood bedroom in his mother's house. His love for his team isn't a supplement to his life, it IS his life, and his religion–and let's just say his faith is tested. It should have been incredibly depressing but it wasn't–if you're interested in a great character study, I highly recommend it, but it's definitely NOT a family film. Also, an excellent supporting cast. It's great film…but not a happy one. I'm astonished the NFL allowed use of its' logos (if it did at all), because while the movie captures fans' insane love for their team, it definitely doesn't make heroes out of the players.
I, perhaps like many victims, was merely flashing back to my own experience with abuse, in this case to my junior high school days, when my brother and I –not even minor league ass wipes– were repeatedly harrassed, assaulted, and beaten. Our "crime?" The color of our skin (which was, and continues to be, white).
The point people are making here is that the media and society have taught the masses to process stories like these by a simple syllogism: If the white guy's in the wrong, then the white guy's wrong; the black guy's in the wrong, then the white guy is still wrong –simply by virtue of that whiteness.
Sure, at this point nobody knows who or what started it. But the larger point is that if the black kid started it simply out of racial animus (which, contrary to what liberal politicians, media members, and educators might have you and everyone else believe, is entirely possible –repeated personal experience has pointed that painfully out to me) there will no repercussions whatsoever. The same would not, will not, hold true if the roles were or are reversed. I know it. And I think you do, too.
It was Marine One … and I was dressed like Qui-Gon.
I'm kidding about the second part — I was jogging, and the choppers roared over my head. They were flying pretty low, and I heard them in the distance through my iPod — that's how loud they were.
I was SO impressed .. then I realized that some community organizer was in it, and suddenly I felt depressed that this Chicago Alinsky has been given this honor.
It just seemed cheap.
Oh well … hardware was awesome.
Yes, there are drunken bores of all colors and stripes, but only the white ones get reprimanded.
I want to start a new political party. The Angry American Party……………………..anyone want in?
Since no votes are taken at a joint sessions, conservatives should just walk out or not show up at any future joint session related to Obama's pet domestic projects. Addressing the congress and senate together should be reserved for showing a united front at a time of war. Even the annual State of the Union addresses have debased the joint session.
Did they find the chalice from the palace? Or the vessel with the pestle?
The new politics of IGNORE If a million marchers show up to D.C..If the NEA is caught red handed schilling for Obama to get some good old fashioned Soviet/Maoist propoganda,If ACORN helping a future madam to enslave underage girls and probably advising thousands of more mundane tax cheating to occur, is not news worthy by the Lamestream media then I suggest a conspiracy. So start passing out the tinfoil hats.I'll take an extra large thank you.BTW.I am now wide awake.
