Name this movie: An ace CIA operative, condemned as a rogue and now hunted by the Company, bashes and crashes his way through colorful foreign settings, pursued by heavily armed hit men, while back at Langley headquarters an inscrutable deputy director and one of his top lieutenants are arousing the...

"BUSH: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I — I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him."
Whooo hooooooooo….wait, what?
I miss President Bush!
There is a stark difference between our current President and his predecessor. One loves this country, and one doesn't.
Enough said.
BUSH : "…Secondly, he is not escaping us. This is a guy, who, three months ago, was in control of a county [sic]. Now he's maybe in control of a cave. He's on the run."
and he's STILL RUNNING, EIGHT YEARS AND COUNTING, ZERO ATTACKS ON HOMELAND U.S.A..
THANK YOU G.W. BUSH AND ASSORTED AGENCIES AND PERSONNEL, FOR EIGHT TERRORISTS FREE YEARS!

This was one of our Nation's finest moments – we will make our way back to those days or die trying. I didn't agree with everything GW did but there is no doubt who he truly was – Obama is a disgrace thats only mark in history will be by being the first black president.
Alan Keyes and so many others that would serve with so much more dignity. Democratic party is falling in wuth some sketchy folks, (Oliver Stone = Chavez, Charley Sheen a 9/11 truther, absent media or perversely partisian media). You guys may assume too much of Reagan Democrats… 2010, it is coming quickly…
I never doubted President Bush's love for our country and his resolve to do what it took to keep us (and her) safe after the shattering events of 9-11.
And in remembrance of this solemn day…
ABC world news ran a piece on the NYPD anti-terror unit, and credited them with keeping NYC attack free. They dug up someone who said they were undercover for the FBI, who "could" have gotten the one hijacker right before 9/11 but the FBI yanked him to an easier case. And Nightline did a piece on Tillman saying he thought Iraq was an illegal war fought for oil.
To summarize, Bush can't take credit, and it's Bush's fault.
Nice one, ABC. You Schmucks. No wonder John Stossel is going to Fox.
Target priorities change, especially when the target's main facilities have been destroyed.
Really, do you think WW2 would have been a failure if Admiral Yamamoto had survived?
Oh my, let me guess that was the sentence immediately following the part the troll quoted?
Funny how they try things like that.
He's gonna tell you that it wasn't the Japanese that attacked Pearl Harbor. It was the Israelis. (There was no Israel yet, but shhhh! Don't ruin his spiel or he'll get all catatonic and need a nurse.)
Tillman? Illegal war? Friendly fire, football hero Tillman?
(sigh) At least Fox is getting all the real journalists.
Barack ObaMao will never, EVER be able to pull off an unscripted, impromptu speech like that where he says exactly what needs to be said to people who are angry, sad and in need of a leader. Bush could connect with people. He wasn't the cleverest, but he had heart. He mangled the language, but he spoke what was REAL. And yes, you never ever had to question George Bush's love for this country and it's people, including the people that called him BusHitler and criticized every single thing he ever did or didn't do.
And he has so much class and respect for the Office that he won't criticize the sitting President.
I bet the Queen of England misses George Bush too.
Not a teleprompter in sight! I did not hear one "uh", "um" or "er", not a single stutter.
Next time I hear someone criticize President Bush as being some sort of numbskull I'm gonna deck 'em! That man spoke from his heart and the masses heard him loud and clear.
Communication is the ability to transmits ones thoughts and emotional content to another. The use of high sounding words, good oratory skills do not a communicator make. Obama can deliver a so called good speech but what does he communicate? I am always at a loss when I hear him. He speaks in platitudes and somehow that is better than being plain spoken. The use of words that say one thing but mean another is actually poor communication. No one was confused when President Bush spoke. He always said what he meant and he meant what he said. It is the primary reason that those on the left hated him so. There was no nuance, a fancy word that means you are too unsophisticated to fully understand what what said. Nuance is not sophisticated but it is eletist and President Bush was not an eletist. Our current President, hailed by the sophisticated set, don't have a clue what he is really saying either.
I sorely miss the plain spoken President who spoke in his own version of english but was understood by everybody. That is the essence of good communication.
Book coming out, letters to his wife etc were handed over to a "best selling author." Tillman had joined right after 9/11 when emotions were high, might have had some second thoughts which would be normal. But they became the highlights. Also, they mentioned he thought there were too many Special Forces involved in the rescue of Private Jessica Lynch, that it was a PR stunt, which was a given at the time but they brought it up anyway.
One other thing, which I want to see in context, they said he didn't want his death to be used to publicize the war, concern about his body being paraded through the streets (something like that). Given Mogadishu and events like soldiers and contractors being dragged about and hung from bridges, that could mean something else, as well as a soldier could have preferred a quiet burial. I want to know if they were adding separate things up to make a point that wasn't there.
But not enough to buy this book that was so obviously written to stir up controversy and sell copies.
Of all the other times in this week, this month, ABC could have shown that canned non-urgent piece…
I trusted Bush. I don't trust Obama.
He spoke that day with a clear strong voice. And that his voice was heard around the world. And it instilled fear in those who meant to do harm to the United States. They knew this guy was serious. At that moment, I couldn't have been more proud of my President.
And our current President has been heard around the world too. In a smooth voice, that conveyed our 'weakness' and our 'arrogance' to the world. And it instilled hope to those who meant to do harm to the United States. Cause they knew, this guy is serious too.
Why? Cause Obama is going around the globe bad mouthing the USA? That's not a good reason not to trust Obama.
A good reason not to trust Obama is that he's closing Gitmo.
Americans heard George W. Bush, and the Islamict terrorists hear Obama… and love hearing him apologizing.
Ask youself "Who do I trust?"
Obama is always talking to a small fringe subset of America. He uses code words. He uses doublespeak. He tells us two conflicting ideas in one sentence. He hides outrageous policy behind fake "intellectualism." His words do not resonate with plain speaking Americans.
Americans respond to good old fashioned "plain talking." We can spot phoniness a mile away and we don't like it which is why there is an ever-growing backlash against this administration.
Obama could take a few pointers from Bush on how to speak to the American people.

An example of an extemporaneously delivered heartfelt speech. A great moment for W, and the country.
For me, this 'they're going to hear from all of us' speech was the very moment I felt that it was going to be alright. It's also a perfect example of what a president should be in a crisis. I haven't seen it since and it choked me up all over again. That ability to communicate to people in a real, human way is something we're really missing now. Soaring rhetoric and noble gazes skyward only gets you so far.
And yeah, no teleprompter.
BUSH : "…Secondly, he is not escaping us. This is a guy, who, three months ago, was in control of a county [sic]. Now he's maybe in control of a cave. He's on the run."
That's the other part of the Bush quote about BinLadin , isn't it?
I feel like I should be doing something more active to show my disgust with ABC, CBS, NBC and MSNBC. Simply not tuning to their stations ever doesn't seem like it's enough.
Maybe I'll block their channels while I try to figure something better out.
Another good reason is that he's constantly lying to us and mocking our mistrust.
Oh, and that he surrounds himself with radical anti-Americans.
And that he's never had a real job or run a business. And he won't release his Columbia records…
Well, if for nothing else than the fact that Bush the Younger gave better gifts than Obama. I still can't belive that man gave the prime minister a bunch of non-region checked DVD's. . .an an iPod with his speeches? Jeez.

Obama WANTS American millionaires LIVING IN CAVES…except for him and his radical buddy millionaires.
To those of my friends and family shocked that I supported George W. Bush throughout his presidency and after, I always say that history will judge him much better than the majority of Americans did toward the end of his term after he left office. I voted for him in the election, but 9/11, and this moment in particular, was when I became a true believer in his strength, courage and conviction. As I said, I truly believe history will judge him well. I just hope that it is soon enough that I am around to see him vindicated. God bless W.!
ya, and funnier that it takes me 2 minutes a a *copy and paste* to blow 'em up. I'll never understand why so many DemocratSS and liberals HATE OUR COUNTRY…never understand…ever. Don't wanna know.
I was attacked by Communists while living abroad as a child. I learned first hand about America haters.
I had never felt more proud to be an American that day, I will always get chills when I see this video. I miss my President, for all the things he did wrong in the later days, in those days he did EVERYTHING right. I would take him back in a heartbeat.
Please note that Obama gave a speech on 9/09 on what is important to him: bending America to his will. Note too that not a single reference was made to the upcoming anniversary of 9/11. Mark well the fact that on the first anniversary of 9/11 of his Presidency, Barrack Hussein Obama had nothing to say about the fact that one that day eight years ago Islamic fascists took the lives of 3, 000 of our citizens without warning, without provocation, without mercy. Heed the fact that on 9/13 the President will be on 60 minutes and then on 9/14 he will give yet another speech. About 9/11 and the challenge of Islamic fascism? No, again the subject again will be about bending America to his vision, not about the enemy we cannot ignore. The silence is deafening. The dishonor that this man brings to the office held by the likes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Ike, JFK, Ronald Reagan, and yes, George W. Bush, is too much for this American to bear. The day I will be able to vote against him can't come soon enough.
I'm on antenna and not on any ratings system, so they get nothing from me anyway. Avoiding links to their sites will have to do for a protest, seems Drudge only uses them (and CNN) when he has to.
Ricky: "Nooooo!!!! You ruined my talking points! I can't do substantive debate! You evil American-loving conservatives! Boohoohoo….(sob)"
Oh, let me count the ways. Right now my mistrust comes from the health care bill. I don't believe for a second that we're really talking about health care– we're talking about a huge government takeover and health care is simply the method. He's got the whole country talking about how we need to take care of the uninsured (vastly overstated) and has the liberals on their emotional high horses. I think he'd push just about any agenda as long as the ultimate goal of more government control is achieved. Auto bailouts, spending (stimulus) bill, health care, it's all about big government….
I kinda have an idea, though it's not directly aimed at the network news. Couldn't some people get together and start going in groups to the late-night shows, particularly Letterman/Stewart/Maher, and during their monologues and such start booing liberals, cheering conservatives, and stuff like that? It's not much, but I watch a lot of late night and I think the political jabs of the hosts and the responses of the audience are taken by many to be an indicator of the national mood, and obviously it's easier to go with the flow than against it. Plus, it might nudge the comedians into going after Obama and his cronies more. Like I said, just an idea, and the execution would be rather difficult, but it might be worth a shot.
Gitmo will be "I'll believe it when I see it." First it was to be closed in a year, then "it might take longer," I heard of a recommendation report not coming in until late January, lately that one year "is not a firm deadline," etc.
Maybe they're hoping a hurricane will "force" a mass evacuation. But for real enjoyment, perhaps we can get them over the fortified section and "release" them into Cuba. Since it looks like they will get released anyway no matter what, might be worth it to see what the Castro brothers would do with such "harmless unfairly detained" people on their soil.
"I can hear you" . . . it wasn't sophisticated, but who needs sophistication when you're wounded and need encouragement? Who needs double speak when you desperately seek answers? And that's what made George W. Bush have his kairos moment.
*MissQuinn*
Maybe we can promote a "My president didn't need a teleprompter" campaign for bumper stickers and t-shirts!
I like this! Sounds like a fun idea for the 9-12 Project group; kind of a field trip where we go into the city for an evening (or whenever they tape if not live…)
Interesting idea!
To be correct, it was actually The Queen who received the IPod loaded with Obama, Obama, Obama, and some Queen. (The British figurehead, not the band.) Obama also gave back a bust of Winston Churchill that had been given to the US via the Bushes, again, from Britain, placing Obama firmly in the category of "total choad".
Where do you think Obama goes to smoke his pot these days?
Me too…more and more everyday.
I miss having a President who understands that leadership does not involve scolding Americans for disagreeing with him.
I miss having a President who I could trust to follow-through when he said "…and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon."
And I miss having a President who could throw a strike from the pitcher's mound.
Funny- I don't see this on Letterman's "Great Moments in Presidential Speeches". Which is odd, since this was indeed a great moment in presidential speeches.
