1. If the Democrats lose congress in 2010, Obama will attempt to govern by executive fiat from the Oval Office.
2. If congress attempts to defend its prerogatives, the result will be a constitutional crisis.
3. Mr. Obama does not intend to leave office under constitutional mandates. He will have to be forced out.
4. America will suffer massive civil disorder and economic chaos before the republic is set to rights.

But for a moment let's look at Van Jones' principal qualification, his earlier gig as honcho of Oakland's Ella Baker Center, which, besides spewing the usual race-hustler crap and being closely affiliated with STORM (Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement), was in essence just another one of those Bay Area 'job banks' which Tom Wolfe so splendidly exposed in 'Mau-Mauing the Flak-Catchers" forty years ago. The scam of course is that the only real jobs are in the program staff, and these of course go to all the hooked-up members of the local street-activist gang- the community organizers, if you will.
But of course even a fair number of six-figure sinecures for unemployable radicals isn't going to eat up much of the money here. Think what Obama and Ayres did with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, and then multiply by 2,000. That is one hell of a lot of what the Daley boys call 'walkin' around money.' I reckon a very large amount of this is going to go as 'jobs' grants into the impenetrable coils of the ACORN/SEIU hydra and the like, massaged and laundered until …. What gets me the most is that even when you go out of your way to post factual information on a blog or talk with people in various places online as well as real life, they STILL are supporting Obama, his policies and his people.

I feel your same frustration. As a matter of fact, I thought about expressing exactly what you're saying in my first reply! I think a lot of it has to do with the education. Before the election, I had a conversation with a 20-something college student who was convinced that Obama was going to be the greatest president ever. When I confronted him with Obama's thoughts on "spreading the wealth around" and asked him if he really wanted America to be a socialist state, he calmly replied, "What's so wrong with socialism?" He even said, "We need enlightened people in office to make sure things are fair and equal for everyone." He had clearly been fed a line of BS about socialism and even communism, and how they could lead to a utopian society. The only reason they hadn't worked out yet was because the right people had not been in charge – i.e. Obama. Unfortunately, I think there are a lot of people out there who feel the exact same way that young college student felt. They believe the lie.
