It is utterly offensive that Obama will cover the cross when he finds reminders of religion inconvenient, but will start spouting religious rhetoric when addressing a group of Christian leaders. Shameless doesn't begin to describe him. He is arrogant, hypocritical, dishonest– and convinced the public is too stupid to see through his charade.

And, I have great employees that I pay well above industry standard in order to retain them, so do not throw out that I have gotten rich off the" sweat of the working man". As for the success of Obama's actions, Germany resisted the urge to falsely stimulate their economy and they are recovering at a faster pace than any other country. As for saving banks, they are falling at a faster rate than before, because pumping money into them ( at rates higher than they can make loans on, ( i.e., libor vs. prime) has failed to address the problems that got the banks into trouble from the start.

I’m happy to discover that the left’s decades of righteous outrage at Christian conservatives for mixing religion with politics was, as so much else is, simple partisan posturing, but I’m unfamiliar with the sermon where Jesus called for Caesar to create a public fund to heal the sick.
President Obama does not want to go down as a failure, and to obstruct business growth would be complete disaster. Who started that rumor, the death squad righties? Isn’t the 39% (lower than in Reagan’s day) on “net profit” or instead, “gross receipts?” Business owners can put money back into their businesses, unless I’m missing something.
The fat cats are scared enough to make up any lie to hurt the President. Failure to “falsely stimulate the economy” is a risk I’m glad was not taken. Risks are easy for those who are too big to get hurt. And please don’t forget one key element of the bank disaster was greed – foolish and filthy greed. You should really remember the government’s largess is your tax dollars, the government does not have any money, and the only money they (the government) get is from you the taxpayer and not the tax leech. They are spending what the can extort from the taxpaying public and business. Then again business do not have any money, you pay their taxes by purchasing their products.
On major legislation this should be voted on in a general referendum and not by our Congress critters, we as American should decide the expenditure of our money for major non-governmental projects, like TARP, bailing out CA, NY or other states, banks, health-care. We have to pay for these things; we should get a chance to vote on them and not just Congress. So far this year they have passed several bills which they have not ever read or know what is in them, but we are left picking up the TAB for the banquet they have created. The only thing which they should have the right to vote for is what is in the Constitution and required for the government to operate. I guess you can thank the public education system for Congress critters not being able to read, since their job is to make everyone feel good and not to excel, since achieving harms someone else’s feelings.
Where is the American sprit? The framers of our Republic did not want to be career politicians, they had real jobs and worked on their farms or business, met and did the governments business for a few days, then when back to their farms and business, not like our career politicians of today. Like Barbara Boxer, remember she worked hard to be a Senator, she was voted to be a Senator, she only worked hard BS’ing everyone how great she is and she needs to lord over us toadies who really work to make this country great
We need to have the politicians responsible to us, how do we do that? The first thing is term limits, if that is in the hard to do box, then let’s select Congress critters and Senator critters from the real taxpaying public to serve one term by computer random selection, we could not do any worst then the system we have now. By this I mean people who really pay taxes and not received a hand-out for the government. The highest pay for these people should not be more the $30,000 per year, since they have a real job to go back to and not suckle on the taxpayer.
If CA needs to fix it debt problem, then tax all American funds which are sent outside the American boarders at 100%, this will give the illegal’s no incentive to be here in America, since they will not be able to send money back to their country’s. If Western Union transfers this money or a bank or sent in the Mail, it should be confiscated and turn over government revenue to pay for these service which these people use. That would pay for health care, jails, welfare and the other services they receive on our dime and not theirs. Tax employers of illegal’s at the 90% on their profits and make them also pay for these services since they are the one benefiting from the cheap labor. Let these company show their stock holders, they are making only 10% of their profits due to management decision to use illegal’s, then you would see a big change in business management into those who will respect US laws.
It is time we as real AMERICANS take back our country from the governments and business that wish to destroy it, by the vote buying schemes, we can do this, only through the start of a Constitution Party, get rid of the Democrat and Republic Parties, and make news one which response to AMERICANS and not to special interest group. The things which made our country great is us working together to be AMERICANS speaking ONE Language, placing others about ourselves, determination in our dreams and hope. Obama's problem is that taxes are already so high that there is very little left to tax. All of this is before property taxes and state income taxxes. Know who does ot pay the taxes. People as rich as a Limbaugh who have stopped working for a living and put their money in bahamian banks. Nothing tricles up from the bankrupt.

Voight has not been a bomb-thrower ala' Penn, Sarandon, Clooney, etc. I have no problem with ANYONE expressing their political ideology, so long as they do it in a manner that furthers the dialogue . Penn, especially, has said little of substance and has thrown a lot of insults. Most of the Hollywood extrememists seem to have little interested in listening to the other side. I have yet to hear Voight degrade those who do not agree with him. Penn, Clooney, Sarandon and their ilk do so with regularity.

I had to work in the Bahamas as a consultant and the KPMG guy I was working with was a Bahamian. He starts explaining Bahamian Foreign Corporations to me. To the Bahamina Americans are foreign. IF you are not a Bahamina citizen you can start a corporation in the Bahamas which will hold your money. The Bahamian government will tax nothing earned and you can treat as expense anything you'd like, for instance a new yacht if you'd like. The corporation is not touchable by the American government. My point was that the truly wealthy have these avenues available. They don't take them because of problems getting money back into the US but if you increase taxes enough….. This is the point I was making. Unless you have enough money in the bank that you can live comfortably off the interest without working there is no point. Sorry for the confusion. All thouse taxes in this case would not be paid ever……. and there is nothing Obama can do about it either.

I have heard of the Bahamian tax evasion option. Wish I was wealthy enough for that to be viable. I think most people who fall under the Obama classification of "wealthy" want to pay our fair share of taxes, but are becoming frustrated by the excesses of government. Somewhere along the way our politicians have forgotten that it is OUR money, not theirs, and they are very poor stewards of it. This began many years prior to Obama, but he has brought it to the forefront with his breakneck spending. This, combined with the fact that we seem to have a large part of the population who have not learned that obtaining the American Dream requires discipline and hard work (at least in most cases) and there really are no Free Rides.
I am not connected with any other name and it's not worth it to be here anymore. Thank you to those who replied to me with info on small business tax burdens & thank you Big Hollywood for letting me share my 2 cents with others here.

I agree, Obama does not want to go down as a failure. While he may not intend to obstruct business growth, his POLICIES do just that. I pay taxes on NET. Contrary to popular belief, there are caps on business deductions. Tax laws do not allow me to put every dime back into the business and not pay taxes. Further, when you own a business, their are a lot more taxes than just income taxes. I pay taxes on the signs I have in front of my business. I pay taxes on inventory, the building, and on and on and on. Yet Obama tells me that I still should pay more. So I will. Do you realize that that means fewer new employees? So, I should pay more to help give government aid to those who I would hire, If I did not have such a heavy tax burden. It is a zero sum game.
You are also wrong about the 39% being lower than the Reagon years. You also have not factored in the new laws for Cobra insurance for laid off workers ( big expense for small business owners).
Are you saying that when a rich person (such as Limbaugh) stops working for a living they should continue to pay taxes on monies they accumulated and paid taxes on initially? Certainly they should (and do) pay capital gains taxes, sales tax, property tax , et al' , but do you honestly feel they should pay more taxes on income they have already been taxed on?
Our current tax system encourages "pushing " tax boundries, especially for high income earners who would like to keep a fair share of their earnings. I have yet to have one person convincingly and unemotionally explain to me how it is fair that I should pay 40% of my income, while nearly 50% of wage earners pay NONE.

Did you know that the Seminal Founder of the Libertarian Party is Rose Wilder Lane, the daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder? She was a believer in Communism and Socialism, then spent several years living in Communist Russia and Socialist France. If you make over $250,000 taxable income, he intends to raise your taxes. This, despite the fact that these are the businesses that employ over 75% of american workers. This, despite the fact that in order for any small business to succeed, most of the gross profit will be put back into the business. Obama is using "corporate greed" as a battle cry against the small-business owners, of which I am one. And, I have great employees that I pay well above industry standard in order to retain them, so do not throw out that I have gotten rich off the" sweat of the working man". As for the success of Obama's actions, Germany resisted the urge to falsely stimulate their economy and they are recovering at a faster pace than any other country. As for saving banks, they are falling at a faster rate than before, because pumping money into them ( at rates higher than they can make loans on, ( i.e., libor vs. prime) has failed to address the problems that got the banks into trouble from the start.

You should really remember the government’s largess is your tax dollars, the government does not have any money, and the only money they (the government) get is from you the taxpayer and not the tax leech. They are spending what the can extort from the taxpaying public and business. Then again business do not have any money, you pay their taxes by purchasing their products.
On major legislation this should be voted on in a general referendum and not by our Congress critters, we as American should decide the expenditure of our money for major non-governmental projects, like TARP, bailing out CA, NY or other states, banks, health-care. We have to pay for these things; we should get a chance to vote on them and not just Congress. So far this year they have passed several bills which they have not ever read or know what is in them, but we are left picking up the TAB for the banquet they have created. The only thing which they should have the right to vote for is what is in the Constitution and required for the government to operate. I guess you can thank the public education system for Congress critters not being able to read, since their job is to make everyone feel good and not to excel, since achieving harms someone else’s feelings.
Where is the American sprit? The framers of our Republic did not want to be career politicians, they had real jobs and worked on their farms or business, met and did the governments business for a few days, then when back to their farms and business, not like our career politicians of today. We need to have the politicians responsible to us, how do we do that? The first thing is term limits, if that is in the hard to do box, then let’s select Congress critters and Senator critters from the real taxpaying public to serve one term by computer random selection, we could not do any worst then the system we have now. By this I mean people who really pay taxes and not received a hand-out for the government. The highest pay for these people should not be more the $30,000 per year, since they have a real job to go back to and not suckle on the taxpayer.
If CA needs to fix it debt problem, then tax all American funds which are sent outside the American boarders at 100%, this will give the illegal’s no incentive to be here in America, since they will not be able to send money back to their country’s. If Western Union transfers this money or a bank or sent in the Mail, it should be confiscated and turn over government revenue to pay for these service which these people use. That would pay for health care, jails, welfare and the other services they receive on our dime and not theirs. Tax employers of illegal’s at the 90% on their profits and make them also pay for these services since they are the one benefiting from the cheap labor. Let these company show their stock holders, they are making only 10% of their profits due to management decision to use illegal’s, then you would see a big change in business management into those who will respect US laws.
It is time we as real AMERICANS take back our country from the governments and business that wish to destroy it, by the vote buying schemes, we can do this, only through the start of a Constitution Party, get rid of the Democrat and Republic Parties, and make news one which response to AMERICANS and not to special interest group. The things which made our country great is us working together to be AMERICANS speaking ONE Language, placing others about ourselves, determination in our dreams and hope. Add to that a 1/3 tax on the 10% profit other corps will have to pay on their earnings or 3&/3% + 6.5% sales tax in states like Florida. or 9.8% we get a tax rate 64.1% on the marginal income since they are raising the FICA base but even when that is met since medicare now has no limit that is 51.9% when you reduce the 12.4%. Obama's problem is that taxes are already so high that there is very little left to tax. All of this is before property taxes and state income taxxes. Know who does ot pay the taxes. People as rich as a Limbaugh who have stopped working for a living and put their money in bahamian banks. Nothing tricles up from the bankrupt.

Voight has not been a bomb-thrower ala' Penn, Sarandon, Clooney, etc. I have no problem with ANYONE expressing their political ideology, so long as they do it in a manner that furthers the dialogue . Penn, especially, has said little of substance and has thrown a lot of insults. Most of the Hollywood extrememists seem to have little interested in listening to the other side. I have yet to hear Voight degrade those who do not agree with him. Penn, Clooney, Sarandon and their ilk do so with regularity.

No they should not pay any tax on income already taxed. I was taliking about the monies that wealth earns. I had to work in the Bahamas as a consultant and the KPMG guy I was working with was a Bahamian. He starts explaining Bahamian Foreign Corporations to me. To the Bahamina Americans are foreign. IF you are not a Bahamina citizen you can start a corporation in the Bahamas which will hold your money. The Bahamian government will tax nothing earned and you can treat as expense anything you'd like, for instance a new yacht if you'd like. The corporation is not touchable by the American government. My point was that the truly wealthy have these avenues available. They don't take them because of problems getting money back into the US but if you increase taxes enough….. This is the point I was making. Unless you have enough money in the bank that you can live comfortably off the interest without working there is no point. Sorry for the confusion. All thouse taxes in this case would not be paid ever……. and there is nothing Obama can do about it either.

I have heard of the Bahamian tax evasion option. Wish I was wealthy enough for that to be viable. I think most people who fall under the Obama classification of "wealthy" want to pay our fair share of taxes, but are becoming frustrated by the excesses of government. Somewhere along the way our politicians have forgotten that it is OUR money, not theirs, and they are very poor stewards of it. This began many years prior to Obama, but he has brought it to the forefront with his breakneck spending. This, combined with the fact that we seem to have a large part of the population who have not learned that obtaining the American Dream requires discipline and hard work (at least in most cases) and there really are no Free Rides.
I am not connected with any other name and it's not worth it to be here anymore. Thank you to those who replied to me with info on small business tax burdens & thank you Big Hollywood for letting me share my 2 cents with others here.

I agree, Obama does not want to go down as a failure. While he may not intend to obstruct business growth, his POLICIES do just that. I pay taxes on NET. Contrary to popular belief, there are caps on business deductions. Tax laws do not allow me to put every dime back into the business and not pay taxes. Further, when you own a business, their are a lot more taxes than just income taxes. I pay taxes on the signs I have in front of my business. I pay taxes on inventory, the building, and on and on and on. Yet Obama tells me that I still should pay more. So I will. Do you realize that that means fewer new employees? So, I should pay more to help give government aid to those who I would hire, If I did not have such a heavy tax burden. It is a zero sum game.
You are also wrong about the 39% being lower than the Reagon years. You also have not factored in the new laws for Cobra insurance for laid off workers ( big expense for small business owners).
Are you saying that when a rich person (such as Limbaugh) stops working for a living they should continue to pay taxes on monies they accumulated and paid taxes on initially? Certainly they should (and do) pay capital gains taxes, sales tax, property tax , et al' , but do you honestly feel they should pay more taxes on income they have already been taxed on?
Our current tax system encourages "pushing " tax boundries, especially for high income earners who would like to keep a fair share of their earnings. I have yet to have one person convincingly and unemotionally explain to me how it is fair that I should pay 40% of my income, while nearly 50% of wage earners pay NONE.

No they should not pay any tax on income already taxed. I was taliking about the monies that wealth earns. I had to work in the Bahamas as a consultant and the KPMG guy I was working with was a Bahamian. He starts explaining Bahamian Foreign Corporations to me. To the Bahamian, Americans are foreign. IF you are not a Bahamian citizen you can start a corporation in the Bahamas which will hold your money. The Bahamian government will tax nothing earned and you can treat as expense anything you'd like, for instance a new yacht if you'd like. The corporation is not touchable by the American government. My point was that the truly wealthy have these avenues available. They don't take them because of problems getting money back into the US but if you increase taxes enough….. This is the point I was making. Unless you have enough money in the bank that you can live comfortably off the interest without working there is no point. Sorry for the confusion. All thouse taxes in this case would not be paid ever……. and there is nothing Obama can do about it either.
BTW Individualist, I visted your page and you have some good insight. Here's an interesting one to look-up. Did you know that the Seminal Founder of the Libertarian Party is Rose Wilder Lane, the daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder? She was a believer in Communism and Socialism, then spent several years living in Communist Russia and Socialist France. Her writings are very interesting and insightful, even though it takes a bit to get used to her style.
