‘Global Warming’: By Sheryl Crow
by Big HollywoodAs found on the website Think Peace Media:
I feel we are so blessed to live in a country where we enjoy so many rights that other countries cannot even begin to imagine. However, it terrifies me that we seem to have lost touch with our connection to the earth. I am concerned that we have risen to such heights of arrogance in our refusal to acknowledge that our earth is rapidly changing in ways that might affect us catastrophically but instead, we hold steadfast to our belief that nothing can happen to us as a people. -Sheryl Crow

Shut up and sing, hippy!
Oh, for the love of Pete.
It's not that difficult to live in a place where it's still necessary to strive against nature (Mother Nature wants you dead… never doubt it!) or make your living in a way that directly touches nature and the earth, and where weather and seasons are far more than polite conversation.
Many MANY people in fly-over country live exactly like that.
A few people even live in Alaska where winter boils the roads.
"I feel we are so blessed to live in a country where we enjoy so many rights that other countries cannot even begin to imagine."
Ask her that in 3 1/2 years
She could do us all a favor and just shut the he!! up and sing
Is this the woman that Lance Armstrong left his wife and girls for? Good grief.
What's her carbon footprint when she tours and travels all over? Her G5 obviously has an "only one piece of tissue" policy.
"we hold steadfast to our belief that nothing can happen to us as a people"..
Like we can never be attacked or that the cold war is way over now and we can never be nuked and that the news is still the news and not politically slanted entertainment… Ya ok.
Jeez, you'd think she'd keep her mouth shut after that embarrassing one square of toilet paper debacle.
Read the comments at her site folks.
Now those are going to leave a mark.
(I hope).
Poor lil' baby one sheet.
Twit!
Not Over.
We don't believe in you either Ms Crow
I think we were thinking the same thing at the same time

Not even if I had your eyes
LOL
My avatar says it all.
South Park – Global Warming – enjoy

My avatar says it all.
Although, in the immortal words of Eric Cartman.
"Hippies piss me off."
One of my favorite ones
LOL
Oh geez…I didn't know that.
No sh!t paper?
What an idiot…now I hope he has a flat tire on a dark rainy night, spins out, and gets a half yard of road rash on his a$$.
Not Over.
Sheryl Crow could the greatest assest to the global warming people. She should do a TV ad in which she says "Don't think global warming is dangerous? It made me this stupid!"
"Mother Nature wants you dead … never doubt it!" – I love it. : )
What an AIRHEAD…no LIMOS OR PRIVATE JETS FOR U!
"…..and even more stupid everyday, PLEASE HELP!"
But Right…?
They are HAMMERING her.
It's almost as entertaining as watching Sean Penn feverishly bailing out his tiny dingy while crying for his mama, or Jimma Carter smacking a bitty bunny with a paddle, (while crying for his mama).
Not Over.
She shore is purty….dim.
She thinks we are blessed? By whom? It can't be God, can it? Shut up and… Just shut up!
The ever so changing Earth? Tell me what happened to the 1st and 2nd Ice Age. Just STFU, Sheryl!
MY all time favorite Sheryl Crow moment is when she appeared on some awards show with a guitar strap that said "NO WAR"—–and her hairdo covered the "NO"…..so, is Sheryl secretly a hawk, or just too dang stupid and full of herself.
The reason she only needs one sheet is that she is full of it—so it never comes out.
I wonder how far below average the temperatures for this July are wherever Sheryl Crow has her G5 parked at this moment?
Oh, that's right–the History Channel just told me that global warming is causing global cooling!
/not a joke–the History Channel actually said that
i haven't lost mah connection to earth. it runs from my crackberry's charger in the wall right to mah fingertips. silly girl.
Global Warming people can never explain why Greenland is called Greenland. it used to be green before the "little ice age" 1,000 years ago. (there were no SUV's back then)
Sigh. Just goes to show what happens when you only use one square at the toilet. That icky little stuff still left on the palm manages to get itself into your food, than into you and next thing you know, what used to come out of the hole between your legs is now coming out of the one between your ears.
I guess this is Sheryl's idea of recycling.
12,000 years ago, glaciers–sheets of ice a MILE thick–covered the spot where I am sitting right now. I am waiting for Sheryl Crow to explain how that happened when capitalism in general, and the Republican Party in particular, did not yet exist, and hence could not be blamed for it.
Get in your lear jet that burns more fuel in one day than I use in years and tell me you're not a hippycrit.
I don't believe in giving you my money, Ms. Crow.
or what happened to the glaciers that made the Great Lakes.
Sheryl is getting creamed by the posts being left at her "Peacenik" site! Good job people!
let's have more fun with her @

"eat crow"…LOL! …you sneaky devil….
Met a lot of them over the years and there are few things in this world less informed that a travelling musician; being wrong is just part of the their counterculture and they want it that way so they can be Hip Man! Cool Cats!
Here's another good South Park clip about Al Gore. People like to believe in global warming because it enables them to feel important, for what could be more important than saving the world?
http://www.popmodal.com/video/1870/Hero-Al-Gore–...
Why would I want information from a singer in a band? Why would Ms. Crow waste her time jumping up on this soap box? Aren't there enough liars with a much higher stature that I am currently ignoring? I mean really? With millions of idiots on their soap box screaming this crap how much more of a voice does she think she is lending?
I guess she does know something about arrogance.
I don't believe in your global warming, Mr. Gore!
Jamesb-
Thanks for the tip! Hilarious!
Well, if she saw the reactions on the site she would probably just flip that righteous mop of hers back and say "what–ever, I'm sooo sure!"

No. Armstrong did NOT leave his wife for Sheryl Crow. They did not meet until after the Armstrongs had filed for divorce.
Wink Wink….
You all know the passage of the Waxman- Markey bill will be as BIG a DISASTER for the U.S. as Obamacare. We can't let ourselves get sidetracked with other parts of this LUNATIC LIBERAL AGENDA! I don't think there are enough votes in the Senate, even with Stuart Smalley in and Ted Kennedy pre-dirt-nap. As a Texan I know there is NO WAY my two senators will vote for that job killing, do nothing, Al Gore GET EVEN RICHER QUICK SCAM!
"No. Armstrong did NOT leave his wife for Sheryl Crow."
OK then…I take it back…if you say so…geez, can't a fellah mouth off once and awhile?
The Prez. and Biden do it round the clock and it's cool for them.
Let's have a beer in the rose garden…shall we.
Not over.
How about don't even sing, just go throw yourself off a bridge. She's outlived her usefulness (didn't take long)
Obamacare is Devalcare in Massachusetts, this is what WILL HAPPEN; check this out:
"A 10-member Massachusetts state healthcare advisory board unanimously recommended that the state begin rationing healthcare to keep the state’s marquee universal health care program afloat financially."
The July 16 recommendations, the Boston Globe explained, would result in a situation where “patients could find it harder to get procedures they want but are of questionable benefit if doctors are operating within a budget. And they might find it more difficult to get care wherever they want, if primary doctors push to keep patients within their accountable care organization.”

"…it terrifies me that we seem to have lost touch with our connection to the earth"
For which, if someone would let me borrow a shovel, I'd be happy to bury her.
"I don't believe in your man made global warming Ms. Crow"
I love that t-shirt. Iraq war was a costly disaster for this country. George W. Bush should be trialed for idiocy and incompetence.
"The attacks on 9-11 were forewarned. They had nothing to do with Saddam Hussein. And while Saddam is an evil person, the strategy of "Let's hit him before he hits us" is not a viable solution to anything… We will live through tremendous loss of life with the outcome being comparable to Vietnam, where we wake up as a nation and ask why did we allow ourselves to get dragged into a political war that could never be won, if won is even an applicable term." (Sheryl Crow, december 2002)

Mmm, she's hott…
(hey, it's not like my fantasies have to include her actually talking about anything)
Just a gut reaction, but all the hype we have been getting for seems like eons about the H1N1 flu epidemic sounds very much to me like all the hype about 'global warming'.
I think it will take very little, when something untoward, natural or man-made, happens, for the current administration to slap us under martial law faster than you can say 'Obama'. The hype about how bad the flu 'could be' and now the talk of getting the military units into the effort may be part of the conditioning leading up to it.
"Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves." ~~D.H. Lawrence, Classical American Literature, 1922
Isn't this the Moon-Bat who said All You Have to Use in the Toilet is 2 Sheets of Toilet Paper in Order to Spare the Cutting Down of Trees. Fine. Yeah O.K…..aaahhhh….Stay Away from Me Ms. Moon Bat…Stay Faaaaarrrr Away. Thank You!
Very true!
How applicable is that quote! Good call.
I sent her all that left over C-Rat and MRE toilet paper I have been saving.
It was a joke inspired from Senfield: http://tinyurl.com/ne7vwa
Sheryl…just shut…singing would be another aggravation….
She's getting beat like a red headed step child on her own web page. ROFLMAO
Definitely worth the read. ThinkRight you won't lose your eyes I promise they will actually grow to saucer size.
Priceless
No bizjet
No boats
No supercar… in fact, she mostly drives a little toyota: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxNcFqmbVsg
Geez, All I wanna do is have some fun.
Say, doesn't CD production involve lots of plastics 'n' stuff? Think I'll swear off of them.
Is this a parody?
"George W. Bush should be trialed for idiocy and incompetence."
Really?
Look folks, go easy on her, eh? Sheryl is obviously a person drawn to extremes. These "causes" probably give her life some type of purpose she otherwise lacks. Taking her too seriously regarding "global warming" is kind of like getting mad when your little kid says "I hate you!" Consider the source.
She's a great artist. I love her music. But clearly, her "politics" are just plain silly. Perhaps one day she'll be busy enough with "real life" and she won't be drawn into attaching herself to the latest popular liberal movement.
There's are score of these "hollyweird" types who have gone through this phase. I'm sure she'll grow out if it.

The first vid that comes up is the complete South Park Episode.

Sheryl sounds like she's ready to speak before the Santa Cruz City Council. Once she gets her breasts increase three cup sizes.
On the one hand you have S. Crow, hypocrite, global warmer to save her career & "relate" to greenies VS Chris Isaak, entertainer who doesn't take himself too seriously OR his audience for granted.
The T-Shirt is stupid and insipid, kind of like Sheryl. You left out this part of the leftist BBC interview:
Overall he summed up the situation as "still hard but hopeful", saying that progress in Iraq was "a bit more durable" but that the situation there remained fragile.
He said he did not know that he would ever use the word "victory": "This is not the sort of struggle where you take a hill, plant the flag and go home to a victory parade… it's not war with a simple slogan."
He said al-Qaeda's efforts to portray its jihad in Iraq as going well were "disingenuous". It was, in fact "going poorly" ……………….nice editing job liberal tool…
Like all good left-wing hypocrites Ms. Crow never wants to make any sacrifices herself. Today I call upon all those who truly believe that human activity poses a threat to earth to make the ultimate sacrifice and take yourself out of the pollution equation. Bet I get no takers.
"…we seem to have lost touch with our connection to the earth."
That's right, we've lost connection with the earth– That connection that our forefathers held so dear. When I think of George Washington, I think of his lament of man-made global cooling as the earth tried to freeze him and his soldiers to death at Valley Forge. Or Abraham Lincoln sacrificing the cabin industry when he put restrictions on deforestation. Or Theodore Roosevelt's opposition to "defacing the earth" through the massive scar that is the Panama Canal.
We must cast aside our arrogance and rebuild this connection to the earth that we somehow seem to have lost.
Oh, and you should be "trialed for idiocy" for making up your own word…"trialed"? by the way 77, a total of SEVENTY SEVEN Senators Voted to authorize "use of force" including DEM Kerry and the buffoon DEM V.P. Biden.
I saw her from about two feet away in Austin…she's smokin' for an "old broad"! Now, Ashley Judd up close, OMG, isn't that what the teens say? And Sandra Bullock, absolutely gorgeous…ah Austin, stupid liberals but lot's o' fine looking women!
It's "climate change" now. Didn't you get the memo?
I think you're right! In fact a sh!t load of EVERYTHING involves melting stuff and molding it and most of it needs oil and or petro/chemical products…never mind that's just "details".
Who the heck is she talking about?
Maybe her pals Thomas Friedman: http://eyeball-series.org/friedman/friedman-mansi...
or Al Gore?
Or maybe it is that evil enviro devil George Bush? Yeah. Here is the comparison between George and Al: http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/house.asp
They talk a good game… oh wait, they don't do that either. And they are sucking up oxygen while doing it. FOR SHAME!
There's a lot of stuff like that. They've uncovered the remnants of medieval vineyards in England, where the modern climate won't support the growing of grapes. The biblical city of Ephesus is currently located about 4 miles inland; during the first century it was a port city.
But, those are facts. "Climate change" is an article of faith.
you betcha!
Dang, man…you beat me to it. People are so funny. Sometimes I just laugh and laugh, all day long.
A guy who is running for city council in my town says we should not develop or protect our pretty harbor because it will all be under water soon due to global warming.
I would laugh if I were not busy crying.
If only the rest of us peasants had the decency to move into mud huts.
As to the Iraq war, we've been killing Al Queda by the truckload since December 2002. Mike, you sad little man, you really have no idea what a good thing that is.
"[The] Iraq war was a costly disaster for this country."
Costly? Yes.
Disaster? I am not sure I would refer to the birth of a secular democracy in the heart of the Middle East a "disaster".
Maybe she is making up for the three tractor trailers, 4 buses and 6 cars she uses while out on tour: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/scrow/...
Just saying.
Haven't we suffered enough?
As an Okie, I'm happy to proudly state the following:
"Well, what do you expect – she's from Missouri…"
/Pitt dissents
These people are running your city. Be afraid…be very afraid.
Ya know, whenever I want to ponder deep beliefs, I turn to the musings of Sheryl Crow for inspiration.

blah, blah, blah…….RonnIE RayGUn, ROnnie RayGUN………..
Did I mention that everything you believe is wrong?
just checkin'
they ALL eventually open their mouths….
"Perhaps one day she'll be busy enough with "real life" and she won't be drawn into attaching herself to the latest popular liberal movement."
Well, she has been politically active since she was a teen. Nothing new under the sun. I remember her at the launch of "Rock the Vote", back then in 1990 (i i volunteered for RtV), before she went big.
And, to be honest, our "qualified" politicians (democrats and republicans) have often said huge amount of sillyness.
Being antiwar is silly? Let's ask the iraqi people
Check this:
http://www.gazette.com/articles/iframe-59065-east...
"Soldiers returning from Iraq after serving with a Fort Carson, Colo., combat brigade have exhibited an exceptionally high rate of criminal behavior in their home towns, carrying out a string of killings and other offenses that the ex-soldiers attribute to lax discipline and episodes of indiscriminate killing during their grueling deployment, according to a six-month investigation by the Colorado Springs Gazette newspaper."
These global warming environmentalist freaks have created their own religion. They think that the Earth is a god. They worship it like a god, they sacrifice to it like a god. Is their not something in the Constitution respecting the establishment of a religion by the government? If you believe in global warming, you could only draw that conclusion on faith, not fact.

You're missing something: all of the ecologically challenged former presidents you cite were evil imperialist males of white european descent. So evil, in fact, that we defaced native american sacred lands by carving their pictures into the side of a mountain.
Actually, that is pretty bad if you think about it…
Him I know. Crow, never listened to her. Don't care to.
Sheryl home is only 11,000 square feet and her other two homes are less than 8,000 square feet each.
.. . and like we can never be taken over by our own government . . .
We also named our professional sports teams after them in an effort to mock them. It wasn't because we admire them as warriors, it's because that's how we make fun of them.
it was 54 degrees today where i live in Colorado… that was the high temperature… on July 30th. i wouldn't mind a little global warming right now.
THAT is worth worrying about.
