Just the way the cycle favored Obama in 2008, let's face it, the GOP could have dug up the corpse of Abe Lincoln and would have lost ( actually McCain campained like a corpse with weekends off and a generally "laize faire" attitude toward his campaign), this cycle favors the GOP. Incumbent parties ALWAYS lose seats in the mid-terms, this needs to be an AVALANCHE odf lost Democratic seats. Set up the gallows, tie the noose, and HANG them with "cap and trade". When the neck snaps, bludgeon them with Obamacare.

When Mayor of San Francisco a brutal sadistic serial killer left the "heat" of L.A and migrated up to San Francisco. The LA police were hot on his trail. He was using the same gun and wearing a very unique brand of athletic shoes when committing his henious slayings. Much of the evidence was secret, know only by law enforcement. UNTIL MRS. BIG MOUTH FEINSTEIN found a TV camera, shot her mouth off and alerted the killer who was watching local news and reading the newspaper about the evidence. He drove to the Golden Gate Bridge, threw the shoes and gun off the bridge and returned to So Cal and continued KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE. All because the publicity hound Feinstein couldn't shut the F–K UP! That's your Senator California, and blood remains on her wealthy manicured hands. He's was called the "Night Stalker", he's about my age and grew up a few miles from me in El Paso in a tough part of town, his name Richard Ramirez. Thanks Diane, you big mouth twit!

Great point. I'm involved with College Republicans and e-mail rouge Congressmen and women DAILY. After grad school (which I plan to accerate as much as possible) I plan to camp out at party HQ's until I get into the "machine" and I hope to shake it up. I'm a student but not a naive kid, I bring 20 plus years working in the private sector with me. I want to break up this "country club" "Oh well" Marquis of Queensbury attitude that prevails in the GOP. We need another Lee Atwater, the "pitbull" the GOP needs again. There are plenty more Wille Hortons out there, let's dig them up and exploit them!

The had to stop running the spots when Pelosi was up for re-election, and yes, Newt was playing patty cakes with San Fran Nan concerning the enviroment and "bi-paritsan" cooperation. Al Sharpton was in one of the spots, it was pairings of "odd couples" that "agree" that climate change is an important issue. It seems that "climate change " is like # 9 down the list of issues Americans care about, I don't what pools Newt was reading that lead him to get "used" that way. There is no "consensus building" with liberal/leftist. It's their way or NO WAY!

Am I the only one who is feeling completely helpless in the face of the tidal wave of crooked politics rolling downhill from D.C.? I have been around for almost 78 years and watched one bunch of crooks after another come and go but this bunch makes all previous administrations and Congresses look like Benedictine Monks and Boy Scouts. They are totally unresponsive to the "will of the people" and, like Steny Hoyer, laugh, crack ribs at the idea that they should read what they sign.
I could make a list of those I hate beyond reason but it would take this whole page.

Frankly the court has been coming down 5-4 in many many recent decisions. She will be replacing a fraud on the "4" side, hence not a ideological shift vis a vis the composition of the court. Expect many more 5-4 decisions. When Ginsberg retires, I believe she is still ill, it will be the same situation. Change in ideological compostion can only happen when a "consevative" judge. i.e. a judge that doesn't create law out of whole cloth, dies or steps down while a liberal President is in office. The Block that make up the "5" should get on a diet, see their doctors regularly and pray that they outlast Obama.
