I thank the guys for going over there to see people deployed there. I only have two problems with this stuff as a Ret. Marine. One, why is it now a 'cool' thing to support the troops now that Obama is in office. Theres been Grandmas and Grandpops and ordinary people doing this stuff long before these guys went there. Raising funds, helping people out, meeting them at airports and just saying thanks to someone serving. Two, these USO tours that some Hollywood types do are shit anyway. I never seen anyone the 3 times I've been in Iraq. They are afraid to come out to our FOBs. They all goto and stay in super bases with the REMFs.

I could tell from "Chuck" that Zachary Levi had a good head on his shoulders, especially from his interactions with Adam Baldwin. Zach also popped up in "An American Carol", so, you know.

"Chuck" is the best show on NBC. (The only show I watch on the Obama Network besides sporting events the network broadcasts.) Great job Zach & co. on the USO tour. "Chuck" is the most underrated show on TV. Zach along with Adam Baldwin and the rest of the cast are great. I hope you like it.

Old Tom & mrpither: I too felt the show has jumped the shark with the ending (understandable with the show almost being cancelled) , but we shall see come March 2010 when the show returns. The only problem I have with the show is the "will they/won't they" storyline between Chuck and Sarah has run its course. There should've been a resolution with their romance already. I hear that Chuck, Sarah, and Casey are going to be working at a Subway next season. (Ugh.) I hope not.

This is encouraging to see some of young Hollywood supporting the troops, even Kal Penn. Now that he is in his White House job and can see how the 0bama administration works first hand, I wonder if he will wake up and put down the kool-aid.

Jake, I have no data whatsoever to support this, but I think the difference is that now that the media and the White House are of the same party, the media doesn't feel "wrong" to report this. In my limited experience, I've been surprised at how many otherwise looney Hollywood types go on USO tours or support the troops in other ways. Anyone remember Scarlet Johansson's tour? That was during Bush's term, and she was pointedly and obnoxiously anti-Bush.
Anyway, just my $0.02 worth.

I'm with Old Tom on this. I suppose there didn't seem to be much more the writers could do with the Buy More set up, but I worry that the conspiracy is going to get too complex to make any sense (see Alias, Heroes, etc.). Still, I'll keep an open mind, and I too like the cast (and not just Strahovski!).

Wileygrl3, you should certainly watch the first two seasons of Chuck. Definitely good stuff.

I suspect The Underling may be right that these guys are the real deal, but RonaldWR is not off to wonder. I recall in 1993 how Ron Silver commented on Clinton's Inauguration Day how the planes flying overhead were now "our" planes (as opposed to Reagan's or Republicans' I suppose). (Silver, of course, later became a 9/11 conservative.) Still, even if the motivations for such celebrities is a bit off, I think it's a good thing because it still means supporting the troops when they still need it and it might just allow the celebrities to have their eyes opened a bit.

I love Zachari Levi, love CHUCK! And so great to see this. And fyi Chuck is probably the most right-leaning, pro-American show on TV. Watch it, tell your friends about it — it's great fun!
