The NY Times has just proven that they are indeed able to see how printing information can be dangerous even deadly to individual Americans, and that they can display loyalty by ommitting news stories.. Ironically Bill Keller revealed this on CNN where they underreported on Iraq so that they could pretend they were a go-to network on all thing pertaining to Iraq.

This is a 1938 movie about a woman who is working hard for minimum pay and gets seduced by a pimp who turns her into a prostitute. Just another good old fashion Hollywood romantic comedy.

Hey for we know prostitution may be the next growth industry then democrats will find a way to tax it, regulate it, and ultimatley destroy it….

'Open Threads' are just that- open… and the Grey Lady is now a liberal-left advocacy group that also prints the news- you just have to sort out the wheat from the lefty chaff. The National Enquirer is a gossip rag that breaks legitimate stories- John Edwards comes to mind.

So what's the problem?

This decade is almost over and no one knpws what to call it. The teens will be easy. the 80's and 90's are simple but mothing is satisfactory for this block of years.
The O's? Not even a number.
The Oughts? Noone has used ought for zero since the trun of the last century.
Turn of the century?
Turn of the millenium?

I am at a loss. Any ideas?

I hope it will be known as the decade where America "almost" lost it's way and became socialist, only to rally and kick liberalism into the dust bin of history. (I suppose that is too long to be "catchy" but I kind of like the sentiment.)

I don't think you would know real news if it came up to you, slapped you on the back of your head and said "Hey, I'm the REAL news"…. the NYT's is nothing but a bunch of Liberal crap that does nothing but cater and butt-kiss up to the Obama admin…

Going non-Hollywood. I hate Kentucky Politics. Right now, Horse Racing is dying in my state. There is a bill in the senate to bring Video Lottery Terminals to the state. The Senate President, David Williams(r) won't give it a up or down vote. He would rather do some system of taxing lottery tickets (which he never explains how it works) to increase track purses. The reasons that he's forwarding this crap is two. One: Even if every facts breaks against him, he must be right cause God is on his side. Two: "family groups" keep telling us that VLTs will bring 'doom and gloom' to the state.

Same story every time, when it was whole card simulcasting- doom and gloom!
When it was the Lottery- Doom and Gloom!
When casinos were coming to Indiana – Doom and Gloom!
Now? Same thing! Crime will go up. Parents will abandon their families. A increase in prostitution. AND NONE OF IT HAPPENS! These 'Family Groups' will never give cites for their numbers. Either back up what you say or SHUT UP!

Sorry for the rant, just had to get that out of my system!

I'm temporarily stuck at Gatwick near London. If any Middle Eastern or former Soviet-bloc nation is missing it's citizens, I FOUND THEM! They are ALL OVER EUROPE. It looks like New York City here. Missing a few million Chinese? They're the new Japanese, moving in herds clogging the hallways of major museums, eating smelly fish from cans. The have cameras that give my little Nikon "lens envy"! The Chinese and Russians have taken to touring Europe in a big way. It may be a positive thing if some exposure to the west teaches them about our culture, even though "Family Guy" in translation is teaching all the bad stuff.

Why does everyone keep insulting the Enquirer? At least they can meet payroll and haven't had to sell their building yet.

Did anyone else see that photo of Obama on Drudge today and recognize the remarkable similarity of his candid pose to that classic photo of Bigfoot?

I pulled "Bigfoot" up on Wiki, and there's the photo… Aside from the fact that it's "mirrored" directionally… well, I nearly wet myself laughing…

Well a sighting of The Great Zero at the WH (not in NY on a date or Chicago getting his hair cut) is just as rare… but he's far scarier than Bigfoot. And sadly, real.

I watched a National Geographic Channel show on Saddam Hussein. It revisited the horrors of that regime and the consummate evil of the man. Any American who could be against the war in Iraq after seeing that show is not right in the head. We Americans should be proud that Bush and America toppled Saddam Hussein.
