Big Hollywood Exclusive: Prejean Attorney Provides Playboy Emails; Carrie ‘is being persecuted for same-sex marriage’ beliefs
by Big HollywoodMiss California USA Pageant Director Keith Lewis explained the decision to fire then-Miss California Carrie Prejean in the following statement: “This was a decision based solely on contract violations including Ms. Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization.”
But In an exclusive interview with Big Hollywood, Ms. Prejean’s attorney, Charles S. LiMandri, who says that he and his client learned of the firing during a phone call from gossip site TMZ, vehemently denies those allegations.
“She greeted troops, ‘Fox and Friends,’ she was lined up for the Special Olympics this weekend. It is pure BS.” He continued that neither the Miss California USA Pageant organization nor Miss USA owner Donald Trump had ever taken issue with the frequency of her media appearances: “They never said it was a problem.”
According to Mr. LiMandri, the real reason behind the firing was three-fold: His client’s beliefs regarding same-sex marriage, a possible book deal with his client (a deal approved by Mr. Trump), and the fact that Ms. Prejean refused to pose for Playboy Magazine or participate in a docudrama promoting same-sex marriage.
The email below [click to enlarge], provided to Big Hollywood by Mr. LiMandri, is from Mr. Lewis to Ms. Prejean inquiring about her interest in doing a photo shoot for Playboy Magazine involving “partial nudity.”:
This second email [click to enlarge], also provided by Mr. LiMandri, is the response from Mr. LiMandri to Timothy Shields, an attorney representing Mr. Lewis:
Mr. LiMandri states that Ms. Prejean was always enthusiastic about making appearances as Miss California and representing the Miss California pageant organization and the state of California. “They are not being honest that she wasn’t cooperating,” Mr. LiMandri said.
As an example of the excitement and enthusiasm Ms. Prejean’s appearances generated, Mr. LiMandri forwarded the following email [click to enlarge] from a participant in last month’s Las Vegas Jewelers’ Convention:
Mr. LiMandri stated emphatically, “[Ms. Prejean] is being persecuted for the [same-sex marriage] answer she gave. They wanted her out of the way so that she couldn’t be standing in opposition to their same-sex marriage agenda. And a lot of people in the gay community wanted her out. I told the Miss USA organization, she is not anti-gay, she is just pro-traditional marriage. She never wanted to be part of that fight. She got thrown into it when Perez Hilton asked her that question.“
The proposed book deal might have been another factor in Ms. Prejean’s firing. According to Mr. LiMandri, Ms. Prejean had been given permission from Donald Trump to go ahead with the deal but this may have alarmed Mr. Lewis and Pageant co-director Shanna Moakler: “Keith Lewis made a decision that he was going to fire her because Lewis did not want her wearing a crown and sash while she was doing a book deal telling the truth about him.”

It looks like Lewis has some splainin' to do. It's time for trump to drop this nightmare and go build some more condos in Mexico. Carrie should expect a nice payday.
looks like this stuff isn't going to end- the whole homosexual movement has a cause celebre' and will not let this die… hatred is an ugly thing, and no one hates with quite the verve and passion of the Left. Although sex would appear to be politically neutral (there are some gay contributors to this site who claim to be 'conservative') on this issue the left is united, and has found a new person to Hate with all their might…
What was once a beauty contest is now a battle for the heart and soul of conservative/liberal America, and it's a shame that some fine gay people are caught in an ugly crossfire of an issue that just really shouldn't exist in the first place…
> and no one hates with quite the verve and passion of the Left.
Except the hatred of the Right toward Obama.
Think about it. There is a lot of silliness going around and both sides have plenty of it.
If they didn't like the controversy, why allow Chuckie (he looks just like the evil puppet) Hilton to ask the question? They're the one's responsible by not vetting the question. I hope Prejean gets a lawyer and goes after them.
I don't feel hatred towards Obama. I sincerely feel that Obama is not the right person for the job. I do not hate Gay or Lesbian people. Here again, why does your sexual orientation have anything to do with who you present yourself as a person. We are all people, some just choose a different lifestyle than others. If that lifestyle is your choice, all that is being asked is to keep it to yourself and not throw it in the face of everyone that you come in contact with, nor force them to believe the way that you do.
we don't agree- no surprise to you,one suspects… Obama is not hated, he is just not admired- maybe loathed- by many on our side. We watched him grow from a State senator to President- he was always smooth, a charmer, and a back-slapping, glad handing Kansas type. An odd combination, but it served him well, obviously.
It's just that he is a naive chap with a dangerous world view, and is prone to socialism, which he is pretty well acquainted with. Billy Ayers is VERY close to him, as was Frank Marshall Davis.
These aren't leftist, they are Communists.
We appreciate the moderate tone you take and will respond in kind. There is much silliness, and on that issue we agree.
But we will continue to assert that the left hates with a burning passion you just don't see on the right…
You're right re: some fine gay people are caught in an ugly crossfire. And I've said this elsewhere… I'm actually pro-gay marriage but I find this all a bit unsettling.

It looks to me like they were trying to get her to do Playboy so they could come back with a "gotcha" about her morals. Who knows, I don't know the girl and I've surely been fooled by a few, but I wouldn't put it past these tolerant people on the left.
I don't know, but I smell a rat.
A Perez Hilton-sized rat.
"Homosexuality is:…Not a 'lifestyle' (unless heterosexuality is a lifestyle)"
"Lifestyle," I think, was a term invented by liberals, and in its original meaning would refer to heterosexuality, as in, "Hey, man, heterosexuality is just another lifestyle."
Wow, my first reaction was, the Playboy thing is just his attempt to get some shots of a hot chick. But then I realized, there's no way Lewis isn't gay. So, I think he did it so they could have fired her for posing in Playboy.
you know, Scott, we were once laissez faire' about the issue. Then we discovered that the real agenda wasn't gay marriage but the destruction of the nuclear family, a long desired goal of utopian leftists. It is this that caused gays, who until just recently didn't even have the issue on their radar, to now feel that somehow this is a birthright, and emblematic of conservative small government freedom.
It is neither.
When is the Left going to blast Obama for being against gay marriage? I know I blast the GOP when they spend my money stupidly. And I don't hate Obama. I hate what he's doing to this country though.
" Then we discovered that the real agenda wasn't gay marriage but the destruction of the nuclear family, a long desired goal of utopian leftists."
Isn't it just astounding how much WORSE a thing sounds when you start attaching it to nonsensical conspiracy theories? I mean, just for example… for the longest time, I simply though Hillary Clinton was unlikable – THEN someone showed me those YouTube videos proving she's actually a lizard-person in disguise!

you must ask yourself a question. Why does 6 percent of the population want to change the normative societal inclination of the other 94 percent? For what reason? Once you've answered that, then research the musings of Paul Erlichman and other utopian socialists who, heavily inculcated in the NEA, have this strident pro gay agenda… and the dissolution of the nuclear family, which coupled with belief in God prevents the implementation of their 'vision'.
When you've done your homework, get back to us…
I don't think you can make a judgment on what's going on until this all plays out. I read her email to them on Fox's site, and to be honest it screamed prima donna (and it was written in text speak, which I find painfully annoying). In it, she demanded (in capital letters) that ALL offers be forwarded to her, not just the ones he was hand-picking. Is this because she felt he was trying to sabotage her with bad appearances? Perhaps. It also could be that the relationship was damaged so much in the early stages that neither of them could effectively work with the other. Either way, I can't see how they are now claiming her being forwarded the Playboy offer is some kind of insult or trap, since she demanded it.
I'm sure her opinions were the main reason why the pageant folks wanted to get rid of her, but from what I've seen, she shares some blame as well. I've seen her in a dozen appearances (some pretty lengthy) and never once saw her congratulate the winner (Kristen Dalton) on her victory or say she was deserving, with or without Hilton's question. She continued to say she only believed in heterosexual marriage, but I never saw her say if she was in favor of civil unions (she might be, but I haven't seen it). She's had opportunities to soften her image without waffling on her beliefs, but I haven't seen it from her. I want to like her….she's beautiful, seems sweet, and stood up for what she thought was right. Something about her public statements are nagging at me, however, and I hope it doesn't turn out to be a case like Joe the plumber, where people hoisted him up as a hero before they even knew what he stood for.
That's why ideas are so much more important than the messenger.
She was fired by Trump but she seems to think that it is in her best interest.
From a radio interview today:
Prejean: Hmmm, that's the first that I've heard of it Billy. It's just because of my answer I think, ha. None of this would be happening right now if I just said yea, gays should get married. You're right Perez Hilton. The only one that likes me is Donald Trump, hahaha.
Bush: And he gave his blessing to terminate you, you gonna call him?
Prejean: Well I think that he definitely is a business man and I know that he's looking out for my best interests and right now and I think that maybe he thinks that's my best interests right now.
There you go again with the "Think about it"…
Guys like yourself operate on this arrogant assumption that if others don't draw the same conclusion as you, it's because they haven't "thought about it" enough.
Get over yourself.
Damn straight.
Yes, it was an attempt to get her to sell out her principles so they could call her a hypocrite…
Frank Marshall Davis, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright… Obama's associations with these men will be looked back on by historians as "signs we should have seen". Never mind the fact that many of us DID see them!
And the left hates because so much of their world views have been shaped by their "feelings" on things – not their "thoughts" about things. This is predominately why, to them, people should be judged on their intentions – not their results…
It looks pretty clear that Lewis is trying to set up Prajean with this email. He wants written responses that indicate she doesnt want to do the two venues..this is what they would use as evidence to say she was unwilling to do appearences..very amateurish..normally I wouldnt think somebody in Lewis's position wouldn't be so stupid..but I just saw an interview with this guy, nothing going on between the ears on this guy, I have a feeling if he didnt provide sexual favors to someone for his current job he'd still be working at the Burger King Drive Thru Lane. Now here was Prajeans two options, go on a humiliating show in which she could be put into a humiliating position rigged by the hollywood crowd, or take off her clothes (ironically the very issue Lewis first tried to get her fired for)…and that my friends is how you know this was a total set up. By the way…just saw an interview with the "replacement" Miss California…OMG…she said exactly what Prajean said on mmariage, that it is between a man and woman. But she said it poorly..California is in the dumps they deservve a "replacement" representative .
ok Vince, we'll give it a try…
Never said Erlich was a gay advocate; he is a socialist/futurist. He, and other such as he believe that humans are a 'virus' that infects Mother Earth and our populationof 61/2 billion is unsustainable. They feel 21/2 billio is 'about right'. Check your Mother Jones… he was wrong in the 70's, he is wrong now. Besides, what to do about the 4 billion extra souls? Create pandemics maybe? The majority of this country, and the world is straight- accept it- and as we've said elsewhere why does 6% of the population change the normative societal structure of the other 94%?
We support civil unions. The pursuit of happiness does not mean gay marriage. Period. Homosexual males are highly promiscuous- you cannot deny this- and have multiple partners. Why would they want to marry? Isn't adultery against the law? Just because straights fall short of perfection means you throw away 4,00 years of culture that has workrd, for the most part, pretty well.
(cont.)
Most straight people do not support gay marriage, the gay fascist movement has cowed many into an 'ok, fine, whatever you want' submission- but when surveyed they give entirely different views.
Your assertions of the modern family are just mnore evidence that the degradation of the family' under constant assault, has had a deletirous effect. No one believes that people will 'turn gay'. The gayness ultimately isn't the issue- it's the Judeo Christian belief in God, family, love and commitment that will block the implementation of the socialist utopia this bunch of ahteists want…
Clear enough?
Carrie Prejean was fired because she wouldn't condone gay marriage. Period. Trump would have fired her earlier – but the outrage by Americans in favor of her stance made him hold back. Now he's done what he always wanted to have done. And the 'reasons' for the firing are nothing but trumped up excuses for the true reason – Prejean was fired because she wouldn't condone gay marriage.
This isn't just a firing of a beauty queen. This is a threat. Either we condone immorality or we pay for it with our careers.
1) Not a choice (when that person is born gay) … For a person to be born gay, it would seem to me that some wires are crossed in the first place. Its not the way things are supposed to work. For the people that are born that way, I accept them.
2) Lifestyle when its Gay Pride Parades, flamboyant displays of homosexuality, yelling down people who do not agree with them. The displays and refusal to accept someone elses opinion only hurt their cause.
I saw Lewis on with Cavuto. Agenda driven. His words and behavior from the past only makes it clear that HE wanted Carrie out. This was not going to end until either he was gone or Carrie was gone.
As said before, this is a scorched earth policy by those who despise Carrie. The proper thing to do was to say we could not work things out, we wish Carrie the best, and end the discussions. But Lewis and Trump came out immediately swinging and name calling.
I am so happy she has a lawyer ready willing and able to stand up for Carrie. I hope she stays grounded, and as delightful as she has been in the past. We have seen recently what happens to those who do not adjust well to celebritydom.
Question- Lewis says she missed many events. I have heard she missed around 30. So, how many did the last Ms CA miss? How many invites did Carrie field per day? Was it logistically possible for her to attend events both parties agreed for her to attend?
it is amazing, just how reasonable the conservative replies (like yours) are… the calm, quiet resignation of the massive mistake made last fall as opposed to the raging, hating raw emotions of THE VICTORS.
Guess winning just ain't what it's cracked up to be- particularly if there is one conservative left standing…
Bingo! I thought the same thing. So contrived. The headlines said Miss Calif not adhering to her contract..sooooo, how can we..OH! OH! OH! Mista Kotta….yeah, try and get her to do a playboy pictorial…so pathetic…I hope her lawyer sues the ASS off of the pagaent. Disgusting. Mokler, Perez and the other 15 min of famers need to be exposed for the cancer they bring to Hollywood…HOLLYWOOD…TAKE NOTICE! Former playboy girls and celeb gay wanna-be celebs..omg..Perez Hilton? Really?? If this is who Hollywood is..your death gasp has begun. I have absolute respect for people like Rupert Everett..he lashes out at this ridiculous thinking.. Plus I have to say as a straight woman..I love him as a beautiful intriguing actor..sigh..I don't want to know nor should the audience care about the sexuality of the actors or actresses…they play a part..as does Rupert in movies such as "An Ideal Husband"…OH..and just realized he was the voice of Mr. Fox in The Narnia Chonicles, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe"….so my point…enough of this bllsht

Yeah – I guess we're all expected to be Frankie Pentangeli in this screenplay…
sorry to hurt your feelings. not intended. We actually really don't like this subject but feel strongly that marriage is between a man and a woman. Hope you can understand that. As far as the promiscuity, it's just a sad statistical fact… heterosexual males have 3-4 partners, homosexual- well, it's a lot… 20-30. Not our numbers, this is scientific research. You strike us a good guy, and in a world with much hate and little love if you have found bliss, then God bless you..
But there are not too many people on Earth. That is a leftist canard. We just don't do things properly, and there are bad countries.
So, hopefully, this issue wil go away. It needn't divide good Americans- but we feel it's been ginned up to do just that…
Frankie Five Angels? great notion there… except of course, his dignified end…
glad to provide you with a new word- your job is to now use it in a post… we will be watching! Vince, sad to say, that support is soft- you have to understand that it really creeps out a lot of people who smile and say yes, sure… and the family has been both degraded and transformed. Inter-racial marriage was alway fine with our folk- it's the mark of the man, not the color.
And gays are just fine with us as well. In the military they have always been there; they kept their affairs to themselves just as we kept our hetero adventures to ourselves.
And yes, there are intolerant bigots on both sides. Please do not think of us that way. It's just the marriage thing, and the striving for perfection that God wants from us…
ok, Gay Mafia…
Sean Hannity just said that Keith Lewis has not disclosed all of the communications he has been waving around. Selective on the part of Lewis. And if that was not bad enough, Lewis has been putting Carrie's private email out there by circulating these excerpts. Violation of privacy to me and I would add slander to the list of violations Keith Lewis has committed.
SHe was fired because Lewis is a teeny tiny man. I never saw a more metrosexual wannabe in my life. Whats this guy do estrogen cocktails? The further distance the girl puts between herself Lewis and the Bimbo he replaced her with the better. Lewis isn't fit to carry her makeup case.
But I hope she gets her pound of flesh. If this is still about the Gay Marriage moment then Lewis is a bigger bully than Perez Hilton. Mr. Lewis you may have all the correct plumbing but no man Gay or Straight would do this to any young woman. You need a reality check. Mr. Trump your guy in California sucks gutter water…dirty gutter water. Tell him he needs to get over his narcissistic self.
Let's see. Hefner and Playboy are total scum. Bill Maher hangs out at the big whorehouse in Holmby Hills, enough said. Trump is a punk blowhard with a ferret on his head who will do anything for money. Perez Hilton is psychotic. So who do I like in this?
Yawn. Creeps are so predictable.
"Homosexuality is:
1) Not a choice (when that person is born gay)"
Actually, the APA admit that they could find no clear evidence of homosexuality being genetic:
http://www.onenewsnow.com/Culture/Default.aspx?id...
More shockingly, homosexual activist Peter Tatchell admits that the "gay gene" is a myth:
http://www.spiked-online.com/index.php?/site/arti...
In short, unlike skin color, sexual preferences aren't immutable genetic traits and thus can be changed.
Carolyn
"This isn't just a firing of a beauty queen. This is a threat. Either we condone immorality or we pay for it with our careers."
Yeah, homosexual activists are very much like slave owners, Nazis, and Jim Crow supporters, who also used everything from laws to intimidation to silence critics of their immoral acts.
I live in the Northwest, and have constant contact with homosexual individuals. I work with a few. One person, low key, not hiding anything. Myself and this person get along great. I respect this person. The other individuals, flamboyant, flaunting, confrontational, to a point that it spills over into their work relations. Its frustrating, and trying to be reasonable seems impossible for those individuals.
Party at a friends house. Mixture of people, straight, gay. Everyone is having a good time. Getting later in the night, dancing in the living room, and the dance floor starts to clear quickly. I look through the window from the deck outside, and there are two men, dancing, and its not the dancing that everyone else was doing.
I am certain that many of the people at the party that night have had more contact with this sort of behavior than I have, but even they were like, "Come on." I feel that it is unfortunate that it has to be so "In your face."
As ScottDS says lower on the page, "You're right re: some fine gay people are caught in an ugly crossfire. And I've said this elsewhere… I'm actually pro-gay marriage but I find this all a bit unsettling."
Des, that second paragraph of yours is full of weak arguments. You're searching for a reason to dislike Prejean and that's ALL you can come up with?
What makes you think I'm searching for a reason to dislike her? I have nothing but respect for her positions, and think she's an amazingly beautiful young woman. I'm also thrilled that someone who looks like her and has the kinds of opportunities she does has chosen not to go the Paris Hilton route. It would be nice for young women to have a few role models that gave them a way to express themselves and find happiness that didn't involve taking off their clothes, or getting wasted and having sex videos show up on the net. My problem (or possible problem) with her is because of comments like this on Hannity's show tonight….
"I think I was bold enough to take a stand that I took on the stage that night. I lost the crown, I think, because of my answer and whether or not people want to agree with me or not, but this is all happening right now because of the stance that I took, and the boldness."
Now leaving aside some really shaky grammar (part of the problem with her answer at the contest as well), I see a lot of her patting herself on the back, but very little humility. I've been a Christian for 37 years, and that's pretty much the first thing I was taught about the faith. As I said, I want to like her, but have the sneaking suspicion that she's not quite as much of a treat in person as she appears to be. I hope I'm wrong, but am not going to go around defending her without any facts.
Methinks you are very correct. And speaking of that rat, you brought to mind a quote from one of the old masters:
"This Cloten was a fool, an empty purse, there was no money in it. Not Hercules could have knocked out his brains for he had none" -(Shakespeare- Cymbeline).
From my personal experience, most homosexual couples (and I've known a couple thereof) don't stay together very long – that in itself mocks the whole definition of marriage, which is supposed to be a LIFELONG commitment! [That it's all too often honoured in the breach doesn't change what it's supposed to be...]
The next step, already being pushed, is polygamy/polyandry.
No, he's half-white so we don't hate him. We just sort of dislike him.
this girl deserves a medal.this whole escapade shows how the gay community cantry and destroy. my advice get a real bitchy lawyer like gloria aldrid and get your 7pounds of flesh off these disgusting people. as for hilton get every penny you can out of him.
I still like Joe Wurtzelbacher (AKA "Joe the Plumber")
Big Hollywood! I want to thank you for keeping us up to date on this important issue. Surely there is nothing more important to the conservative movement than Carrie Prejean's employment status. Other than Joe the Plumber's record deal, I guess.
Keep up the good work!
The ironic thing is, that the gay community hasn't been nearly as intolerant as straight Liberals who support gay marriage. Prejean has said that she's received a lot of support from homosexuals who disagreed amicably. It seems to be straight people who are offended on gay people's behalf that are the most obnoxious.
BTW, she's not getting anything from Perez Hilton. He makes a living out of slandering people. Her only hope is proving she was fired on false grounds, so can sue for that plus the public accusations about her being a bad employee (which she can argue hurt her future prospects). Let's hope she's kept all her emails and as many voice mails as possible.
Think about it…first she gets ripped for doing a semi-nude photo, then , the pagent director sends her an offer from Playboy, when she refuses he says she`s neglecting her commitments. Give me a break. This is about beating down the opposition
This is about , who has the balls to express an honest opinion when you know the liberal establishment is going to stick their nose right up your ass to dig up every piece of dirt they can find wether it`s relevant to the issue or not. This is sick and it needs to be stopped.
If you had half a brain you`d realize this has nothing to do with "employment status"…if you had half a brain.
Keith Lewis is potential gold for conservatives: a veritible archetype of the phony, smug, apish urban serpent who'd just as soon stick a knife in your gut as compliment your shoes–wearing the same unctuous pseudo-smile either way. It's odious back-bencher creeps like this who are the foot soldiers of the new fascism, and they must be held up to ridicule in the same way that nerds and rednecks were in decades past.
The funny thing is, the New and Improved Miss Kahlee4neea is also against gay marraige, and has already said marraige is between a man and a woman…DUH.
"Why does 6 percent of the population want to change the normative societal inclination of the other 94 percent?"
It troubles me deeply that you'd let percentages into this. I don't care if they were a ONE percent minority. If someone or a group of someone's are being WRONGED – as homosexuals have been and continue to be in our society – they ought fight back and try to win betterment for themselves… and if that means you have to challenge, change or even DEMOLISH traditions, institutions, even whole SYSTEMS, then you do it. A society that cannot stand if it's citizens are truly free cannot stand, period.
The issue here is NOT that she gave her own honest opinion on how marriage should be defined. What she did wrong was violate her contractual obligations with the Miss California Organization by appearing as a spokesman for the National Organization for Marriage (NOM). It went against their policies, and when you break the rules, you have to suffer the consequences, And do you all honestly believe that Miss Prejean is being persecuted? Let me put it to you this way: Who won Miss USA? If you know the answer, then she's being persecuted. If you don't, then she's not. I have a feeling most of you know who Miss Prejean is and not who Miss USA is, so the case is closed.
"But there are not too many people on Earth."
Well, SOMEBODY evidently doesn't have to commute to work…
Umm. I know some gay couples. Had one at my wedding. I'm not afraid they'll molest my kids, but if something should happen to me and my wife, I wouldn't want them to raise them. The homoerotic art around the house, the obsession with fashionableness, appearance, the emotional tantrums of the more feminine of the two (my wife doesn't get into snits like this fellow), etc. are not models of behaviour I would want any child to emulate. But they are loaded, Jag in the driveway, expensive vacations trips, know all the right people, etc. Still, not parent material as nice as they are.
Oh, and check out this article.

'Gay' family kids 7 times more likely to be homosexual
But report shows researchers concealing information
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.vi...
You couldn't be more wrong (about everything). Her speeches for NOM didn't violate her contract, and weren't cited as reasons for her dismissal. The only two things Keith Lewis accused her of were a book deal (that she and her lawyer say is false), and not doing events for the Miss California organization (which they also dispute).
As for her being persecuted or not, depending on how much attention she's received, well….that's pretty amazingly ignorant. If a rape victim gets publicity, does that make the crime against her less vile? Miss Prejean has been attacked on a daily basis by dozens of news sources, she has been protested against, they tried to fire her (then did it again), she's been slandered by her bosses (charges you repeated with absolutely no knowledge of the facts), and pictures taken of her that weren't for publication were leaked in an unbelievably unprofessional way (photographers simply don't release pics of their models against their wishes without written permission).
Evidently none of that matters because we all know her name. I seriously hope you don't have a daughter.
No, Carrie, you're just a victim looking for an excuse to place someone on the other side of your abuse. If you were a strong woman, now you're just like liberals who make choices then won't take ownership and blame others – blaming others for your choices. No one silenced you – they disagreed with your statement, their right to do so as much as your right to speak your position. If you can't handle the heat get outta the kitchen.
You don't have a right to comfort or people treating you with respect, you have freedom to speak. clearly you don't respect the people you discriminate as observed by your actions & words – fortunately for us all there are gays in the military who defend your right to discriminate them.
Alright, now with all this hullabaloo going about we all need to get this pertinent answer for the question everybody needs to know!
…
Who the hell is Miss USA and what is she doing now?
I find fascinating the Gay Kristallnacht against closet Mormons (in the Theater industry particularly) who supported Prop 8, and also against Carrie Prejean. It ranks right up there with the attacks on Sarah Palin as how important the culture wars really are, and who is fighting them.
On the face of it, what Prejean believes should be as irrelevant and unimportant to nearly everyone as the color of lint in my clothes dryer. No one should care, Prejean is a fairly obscure person who made her statement, respectfully, and has not sought controversy.
Rather it is Gays, and Left Culture Warriors, who made an issue of Prejean's beliefs and got her fired. Just as Letterman beats a dead horse over Sarah Palin and her daughters. Palin is not running for national office, she's a remote Alaskan Governor who rarely comments on anything of national importance and holds the same beliefs as Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee or Newt Gingrich or Gov. Mark Sanford. None of whom aroused Letterman's ire or the fury of women and gays over Palin's life and children.
What's going on here is zero tolerance among the mostly female-gay dominated entertainment/media culture for conservative viewpoints from WOMEN. Palin and Prejean are threats, because they dissent from female-gay Orthodoxy on Gay Marriage, Abortion, and most important, men.
Many women (and gays) hate Palin with a fury for her life choice, as husband, in a good, decent, blue collar guy who is supportive and regular guy macho. A snowmachine racer who took time off from his job to help with the kids during Palin's pregnancy and Gubernatorial transition. THAT is why the Ladies of the View and such hate Sarah Palin, in the way that Gays and the women allied with them hate Prejean for standing her ground (and the real reason for hatred of Prejean is her religion, a no-no among urban professional women).
Palin and Prejean are not running with the pack and it's why they are hated. IMHO they are standing tall, and deserve your support.
From what I've heard today, they wanted her to attend a premiere for a documentary about same sex marriage. Anyone surprised that she declined? This is a setup and my gut tells me that Prejean is just as happy to be done with them so she can appear where she wants and write her book unfettered.
It's laughable that the Gay community is attacking her for being a diva. They love divas, many of them are divas themselves.
Oh Dear God. You actually did just advocate that Every Little Group be made happy so no one feels "WRONGED." Percentages do not matter, has to be every one of them.
Fine. Go mandate an easy one for one of the largest groups. Every business and residence must be handicap-accessible. Every last one. End the discrimination the handicapped feel when looking for housing. End whatever injuries to their pride they may feel in businesses. Ramps and elevators everywhere, no store shelves above 3 feet high so they can be reached from wheelchairs. And whatever else it takes.
Report back how well that works out. Then we can tackle how WRONGED atheists feel whenever they are forced to see a church on a city street.
These are the same ones from Fox with slanted commentary to make her appear a stupid self-obsessed prima donna.
1. She is not Perez Hilton.
2. You find the same bashing and labeling of her as anti-gay that has gone on from the start of this mess to be entertaining.
Go away.
"Let me put it to you this way: Who won Miss USA? If you know the answer, then she's being persecuted. If you don't, then she's not."
Wow. Liberal "logic" never ceases to amaze me. Let me put it to you this way: Who assassinated Martin Luther King? If you know the answer, then King was persecuted. If you don't, then he wasn't.
You may now go ahead and concentrate on something important to you. Like seafood.
I love Carrie. I support her in whatever she does. I'll buy her book. I hope it is made into a movie. I will go to the movie.
She has a lawyer, that's where this came from. I hope she takes them for all they're worth.
Donald needs to pony up about 20$ million to Carrie and her lawyer. And tell the fudgepackers to quit spreading lies about her.
Obviously, same-sex intercourse is something that anyone can choose to do. Is it wrong for someone who does not self-identify as "homosexual" to choose to do it? If it is not, then the debate is not about a person's true nature. It is about the act.
Nor does the issue of consent raise it to the level of a "civil rights" debate, since consent does not override every other social concern. For example, if you kill someone in a consensual duel, you're still guilty. If you beat your wife, you cannot plead that she is a sado-masochist and was literally asking for it. If you sign a contract promising to surrender a pound of flesh to a debt collector in the event of non-payment, it won't be enforced.
The "born that way" argument is dependent on acceptance of the word "homosexual", which was coined in the nineteenth century. This word is intended to "prove" the existence of a third sex, in the absence of any evidence.
If one understands that the matter actually concerns deeds, then the argument falters. Anyone with free-will can refrain from committing an act such as sodomy. What is wrong with that act, apart from the important health concerns, is that the center of our morality – insofar as you choose to participate in civilization – is man; i.e., of course, human beings. This man is not just your friend, your classmate, your colleague or someone else you know. It is every man. Our morality is concerned with the well-being of every man and woman, including how we come into being. Sodomy prevents people from coming into being, and it is wrong to pervert someone else from the moral good of being a father to his own children.
Perhaps it is being claimed that there is a section of the population, presumably very small, that suffers from a condition akin to Tourette's syndrome. But the existence of Tourette's does not mean that we are required to accept swearing. Instead, sufferers of the syndrome are offered appropriate help.
Palin and Prejean are conservative, normal, beautiful women who believe in traditional values. The left is vicious and relentless in trying to make what they are and what they do 'normal' when normal is far from what they espouse. They refuse to live and let live, which is something conservatives do by nature. It is their agenda that is in question, not Palin's or Prejeans. The left and 'same sex-marriage' folks are intent on forcing society to accept what many find unacceptable. Even when a vote goes against their wishes they become violent and militant. Nothing pleases these folks but utter capitualtion to their views. And they intend to destroy anyone who disagrees.
There isn't a law on the books that doesn't interfere with somebody's "pursuit of happiness" as you idiosyncratically seem to understand that idea. That's why we have courts.
Sorry, but we are not going to legalize arson because someone has been diagnosed with pyromania.
and what, dear fellow, do you feel is a good number/ And just what do YOU propose to do with the 'excess' ? Just asking…
there are NO canards here, my boy… we deal in facts and issues- and leave the fictional fatuousness to others!
what if one percent of the population wanted, with their own self created justification, to take away your employment and all of your possessions because they feel you don't desreve them? You show specious logic…
Interesting exchange, thank you both.
