Name this movie: An ace CIA operative, condemned as a rogue and now hunted by the Company, bashes and crashes his way through colorful foreign settings, pursued by heavily armed hit men, while back at Langley headquarters an inscrutable deputy director and one of his top lieutenants are arousing the...

HAIL HERO?????
Was his name SCOTT ROEDER????????
Wow. Before I thought you were trying to make a point, but now I realize you're just an inarticulate scumbag troll whose caps lock and question mark keys are apparently stuck.
Nice 'do, Mike!
Looks like he's getting ready for a remake of "Prince Valiant," or "The Pete Rose Story."
I thought it was gerald depardeau.
Ok I know I am late but Big was great.
It is their most adult film to date. Most of their movies are kid oriented with adult stuff thrown in to keep it interesting. This is an adult story with kid stuff thrown in to keep them happy. Well at least in my opinion.
fantastic movie. I was going to wait to see it, but John Nolte convinced me.
One day, as an old man, he would have regular sex with Catherine Zeta-Jones. For that I truly say, to Mr. Douglas: "Hail, hero!"
Oh my! How original, I bet you write for huffpo or kos.
No, his name is Daniel Andreas San Diego, and he is the only domestic terrorist on the FBI's Top Ten Terrorist List. Guess which DHS report he belongs in. BTW do they speak English in What?
BTW Here's Two Yule Love: Laptops for Terrorists and Digital Cameras for Congresmen.

did Michael Douglas actually look like that? Was it before or after 'Streets of San Francisco'? Sorry to say this flick flew under our radar and consideing the lack of info on the post why is it here? And why the acrimony on the first post? Inquiring minds need to know…
Only he and his plastic surgeon know.
Wow, I just read some of Moore's piece about GM (because of the link here) and couldn't believe his stupidity. Is he really that dumb, or is he just a caricature of his perceived self? I reached the part about GM moving jobs to Mexico and was dumbfounded that he equated that to their loss of a market. Really? A company employs people so they can buy the product, and that's a viable business model? Simply amazing rhetoric. I skimmed to the end of the article and saw the part about bullet trains criss-crossing the country. Pitiful. Even teenagers on liberal internet forums understand what works in Japan doesn't necessarily work out in the US. I think Mr. Moore may have an extra chromosome embedded inside of him.
ok I'll bite.
What do you want? You think we will come out and celebrate a man's murder?
No. Murder is not a legitimate method of opposition, irrespective of one’s quarrel with them. (If this murder was carried out by an anti-abortion activist) This action along with all other anti-abortion violence can not be justified nor rationalized. The murder of this doctor should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Happy now?
Back in 1969 when he was 24 or 25 and slathered in make-up he did, sorta.

I just saw the new Star Trek movie. I am amazed how quick the promotions are in Star Fleet. Weeks after he left Starfleet academy (He never graduated- he was on academic suspension.) He is given command of a major capitol ship in Starf;eet..
They obviously don't know how things are runned in a real navy. There is much a captain must know before he takes command, otherwise he can make a fatal error that results in lose of life and the ship.
Besides, we are missing out on the adventures of Ensign Kirk, followed by Lt Kirk, Commander Kirk, ect. This new series could have gone on forever.
Funny how you wack job Lefties seem to be getting a more enjoyment out of Tiller's death than we are. Have a big smile on your face when you wrote those comments did you? So who does that make more psychotic, us or you?
I think you meant "Up."
Hey, J.O., it looks like someone on your side of the aisle just shot up a recruiting center, killing one and wounding two. Maybe even had some bombs in the vehicle, like the one that went off in Times Square maybe? We know you Lefties love the military so much, right? You were saying?

**SPOILERS** for the 5 people who haven't seen it yet:
It was a battlefield promotion, wasn't it? Pike left and put Spock in charge, Spock flipped out & stepped down, and Kirk, who Pike made 1st officer, became captain. Remember, the ship was essentially being crewed by cadets because the rest of Starfleet was conveniently on the other side of the galaxy. Kirk and presumably the rest of the crew got to keep their promotions because they kinda saved the earth.
And with the box office the film is making, the new series WILL go one forever.
In WWII there were lots of 20 something year old Majors and whatnot. I do agree they left out a lot as far as Ensign Kirk and his adventures, but ohwell.. GH or Government Hollywood to the resue soon enough I am sure… Foodstamps for the rich and famous etc…
Wasn't that brilliant? I especially liked his idea about making gasoline so expensive that people won't be able to afford to drive evil cars anymore. I wonder if he'll be sitting on one of those public trains with us peasants. Of course, not. While we're being loaded onto boxcars and herded around like cattle, Mikey and the rest of the Hollywood leftist ilk will still be be-bopping around in their sportscars and stretch limos.
There were so many logical fallacies in that essay that I have no doubt the press will have field day chopping it up.

I posted this comment late last night on Open Thread Sunday…now middle of the day Open Thread Monday…
'Into the Storm'…is a must see on HBO. A great story with amazing performances from top to bottom. Brendan Gleeson is nothing short of phenomenal in the role of Winston Churchill.
Hats off to director/Thaddeus O'Sullivan, writer/Hugh Whitemore, executive producers/Tony and Ridley Scott.
Exceptional film. I highly recommend it.
Several have commented on Michael Moores self-pub piece on GM. Moore is a dolt because he believes with blind faith that he/his will be the Stalinist masters of the new world. He is a boob because the Chicago machine thugs will run it, not his/Trotskyite "new socialist man" and he/his will be among the first purged. The flaw in his blind faith is what happened to Trotsky. Oddly, his discussion actually lists fully the semi-socialist plutocratic decisions inhehent in socialism that caused the GM/Chrysler debacle, then he trumpets totally contradictory conclusions to his own discussion.
That looks like John Kerry in the picture
*sigh*
Still feeding on the corpse, ghoul-boy?
Good grief, it does – now we know where Kerry got "the look".
I tried to watch it, I really did…it just didn't hold me. It looked great, but I felt like I did when slogging through John Adams. This was broccoli tv for me. High grade, fresh, superbly cooked broccoli to be sure, but I just wasn't in the mood.
General LaFayette anyone?
I understand. Sometimes you're just not in the mood. Maybe some other time. Regardless, Brendan Gleeson gives an amazing performance as Churchill. I was definately in the mood and it worked for me.
