Sounds powerful. Realistic. I’m happy to try movies that focus on real women’s rights in the Middle East.
Excellent trailer for what looks to be a powerful film. Jim Caviezel is almost unrecognizable in his character.
I hope there is huge support for this movie when it's released on June 26th. Thanks for posting.
I saw the trailer on my Media Malpractice DVD. I can't wait to see this movie.
All you liberal ladies out there pay attention. If we don’t defeat the Islamofascist this could be the new reality for women, but remember this is the religion of peace, and as Barry as your Messiah, the only thing between you and these barbarians are the American soldier that you so revile. Be careful what you wish for?
This movie looks like something i would actually want to watch. In my mind It is rare to see a movie like this made in Hollywood. They arent that brave or honest.
I got chills watching the pre-view – definitely going to the theatre for this one.
I will be waiting for this to come out and will go.
Definitely want to see this one. Thanks for posting the link.
I think there is something in my eye…
I'll see this as soon as possible.
It's truly one of the best movies I've ever seen, and perfectly portrays – in a true story – the beast that Islam has become. It impacted me for days after seeing it.
Seeing it tonight. Check out The Point tomorrow (link at my name) — I'll try to get a capsule review up sometime during the day.
My regret is that my children are grown.I would take them to this movie to introduce them to Islam, the peaceful religion. Now they can decide for themselves where evil resides.
This reminds me of another movie that came out a few years ago. Has anyone here seen Osama? It's about a little girl masquerading as a boy in order to support herself and her mother under Taliban rule. It's an excellent movie and it just breaks your heart.
I have been blog posting the picture of the original Soraya, as she was buried to the waist in stones before they started to kill her. It's only been the blogosphere and some of the smaller smarter publications that have said ANYTHING about this atrocity in Iran. Thank god that this movie is coming out. These guys are animals and it needs to be shown to the world. Let them develop a nuke ?? That would be as crazy as stoning someone.
Make the feminist in your life watch this movie !
Ever since Sand and Fog I would watch anything with Shohreh Aghdashloo in it. She lights up the screen and her voice is like chocolate. Love Jim Caviezel also. Of course the story is important – but this just looks like an excellent film, regardless. Funny thing, as much as I love the Terminator franchise…I'm just not that into Christian Bale. I know I'm in the minority (everyone seems to love him) – but I would be much more excited if Jim Caviezel played John Connor.
I was lucky enough to see this movie last night, and the story is exceptionally well told and completely disturbing (as I suspected it would be.) The producer told the audience that they could use some help getting the word out to drive as many people as possible to the theaters on the opening weekend of June 26th. I'm going to do whatever I can to spread the word, as I think this is a movie that EVERY American adult should see! GO SEE IT!!!
It also occurred to me how strange it is that the women's lib-ers, who claim to have fought so hard for women's rights, haven't grabbed on to the cause of fighting against Sharia law and all of it's nasty, twisted treatment of women. Instead, there are a few brave souls out there who are fighting the good fight against this form of "law" infiltrating our country, while the masses bury their heads in the sand in denial.
