I loved Dom since I was a kid, when I saw him on various variety shows as the dubious magician "Dominick the Great", with his goofy assistant (Ruth Buzzi). And I recall coming across a cameo he did on "All My Children" as a cop in a South American village trying to convince the owner of a donkey to clear the street ("Lady, how many times do I have to tell you that you have to move your ass?"). Always a delight! He will be missed.

Dom Deluise was great. His brand of comedy was truly unigue. I also recommend "Fatso". The scene where he listens to a never ending list of things he can't eat is hilarious. He did an excellent job in "Fail Safe". The intense delivery of his detailed desciption of why the "fail safe" system broke reminded you of both the frailty of man made machines and a sense that this breakdown (in the movie) cannot be corrected. He added to the aura of the film.

I loved Dom DeLouise.

I didn't know anything about his personal life, and I have no idea what he was like off camera, but he sure as hell made me laugh.

He will be missed.

Dom DeLuise one of the truly good guys. He was able to make you laugh your face off or rip your heart out. I recommend the movie FATSO if you've never seen it. It's well worth your time . Sleep well my funny friend, sleep well and Grazie per le risate.
