I was once told by a mental health professional that the best examples one could observe of arrested adolescent narcissism were persons in the sports and entertainment fields. They may work hard at certain skills, but their narcissistic whims are catered to, so they (hopefully) will continue to hone and deliver on their particular skills. This enabling often begins in their adolescence.

This psychologist had assisted a few in returning to earth when the crowds were no longer paying and their enablers walked away. I was simply told, "If I could only tell you the stories..."

I've always been puzzled as to why anyone thinks celebrity political opinion matters.

Singing on key, or the ability to recite dialogue with an appropriate grimace will never amount to a political leadership credential (even it they get elected).

The media prints their blather because they're celebrities, not because they consider them pundits. Apparently, the only people who still don't recognize this...are the celebrities.

@ Jimmy Arone, since I can't directly reply to his post -
Love ya, Jimmy.
Yeah, people, we may be outnumbered, but we're here, in "Hollywood", trying to make a difference.
It's going to be a looooong battle, but I believe it's winnable.

Jimmy and I are no shrinking violets either. Trust me, Jimmy and I are a couple of loudmouths

TX! You know, I actually meant that part of the post. I vaguely remember her describing herself as pretty conservative way back when (though her stardom has loooong faded). I guess she never really bought into it. Just was along for the political ride (like Teresa Heintz w/ John Heinz and then on to the "war hero" John Kerry.) These type of women--a dime a dozen. Makes me embarrassed for my gender.

Yes, Junie the same gay blogger who when confronted for his ugly nasty words written on his blog calls someone a fa&&ot? Or calls a beauty queen who says something he doesn't like a c#nt? Uh, sure.

She looks bad as in plastic. Not like who she is and false, fake. I'd rather see her looking naturally older rather a freakish remake of who she used to be.
