Obama Celeb Wish-List: Jonas Brothers Targeted to Indoctrinate your Kids
by AWR HawkinsOn January 12, the Tennessean ran a story highlighting President Obama’s pursuit of celebrity backing for his re-election. In the body of the story, the newspaper released a list of 194 “celebrities” whom Obama is counting on to carry water for him between now and Nov. 2012.
The list contains celebrities you’d expect to see listed. Singers Marc Anthony, Jay-Z and Fergie, NBA players Vince Carter and Grant Hill, CEO Warren Buffett, and the well known “philanthropist” Chelsea Clinton (she’s described as a philanthropist on the list) all made the cut. None of this is too surprising until you scroll on down and find Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas listed as “surrogates” for Obama’s re-election.
Upon seeing their names, my first thought was: “Wow, children’s television stars. I guess after they teach our kids how to count they can teach them to vote for Obama.” After all, kids are their target audience, as the kinds of awards they’re nominated for demonstrate. Just last year Nick and Joe Jonas were nominated for Kids’ Choice Awards in the Best TV Actor category, and Joe received “two nominations at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards: one of which was ‘choice male hottie.’” I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried, folks.
But upon further reflection, the hypocrisy of the Jonas Brothers’ support for Obama simply wasn’t funny anymore.
For here are three kids, now young men, who live sheltered, cushy lives and who “made it” musically only because the Disney Channel force-fed them down the throats of viewers after signing them to a Disney record label, Hollywood records, in 2007. Yet they’re supporting a President who spends 99 percent of his time talking about how advantaged people who live sheltered, cushy lives are not paying their fair share.
Think about it: When Nick Jonas celebrated his 16th birthday in Sept. 2008, he did so by playing baseball with his brothers and some friends in Dodgers Stadium. The cost for doing this for two hours was about $30,000.
Don’t get me wrong; I have no problem with people being rich. As a matter of fact, I wish everyone were able to be rich and spend thirty thousand dollars for a two-hour birthday bash. However, we should all have a problem with a bunch of kids, now young men, who support a President who’s doing everything in his power to change our economy so that it’s and harder to become rich, especially when these kids are some of the very ones who benefited from the kinds of help Obama calls “unfair.”
The bottom line: the list of 194 makes it clear that once the Jonas Brothers pick up their Kids’ Choice Awards and finish teaching your kids how to count, they’re going to encourage them to vote for Obama.

Who are the Jonas Brothers?
More useful idiots!
Our kids should get used to the idea that most of the entertainers they enjoy, be it through film, TV, music, literature, comics, or even video games are going to be on average left-leaning. If the Jonas Brothers want to support Obama, any teen stupid enough to do the same just because of those nimrods deserves the wretched government they get.
Re: EricBrodin & spinalcracker
It's easy to say that, but those kind of attitudes is why the liberalism is so rampant today. They got into kid's lives years ago through controlling music, tv, and popular culture. Sure, kids can't vote now, but when they do, they'll have all those lefty ideals in the back of their head from listening to the Jonas Brothers or from watching Captain Planet. Ignoring popular culture or denigrating it only serves the left. We need to take it back.
" The bottom line: the list of 194 makes it clear that once the Jonas Brothers pick up their Kids’ Choice Awards and finish teaching your kids how to count, they’re going to encourage them to vote for Obama. "
So? So are you gonna cry now? Jonas Bros have the right to say what they want. Freedom of Speech does apply to them too you know. I know you don't like it because they support Obama. If they supported republicans and tried to make kids vote for them, you would praise them all day long. By the way just because the Jonas bros say they support Obama doesn't mean much. Their fans are under-aged so they can't vote. Anyone who's 18 or older is not gonna vote for someone just because they tell them do to that. Chill out.
And your idea of hypocrisy is laughable. You can be rich and support Obama. It doesn't make you a hypocrite. Are you running out of arguments here? Anyone who's rich and supports Obama is a hypocrite and……a stupid Hollyweird libtard!! Right?
The bottom line: you should relax. And try to find better arguments against Obama and his supportes next time. Because this is really lame.
Never mind calling themselves 'Christians' and supporting the pro-choice, baby killing champion of the world!
I would have thought that the Jonas Brothers would call it a day after South Park dealt with them, lol.
Do they actually support Obama or are they just on his wish list? Because a few acts came out and said they were unaware they were put on the list and didn’t want to get involved in politics.
And while if they do lean that way and want to 'help' they would be great for leftist in regards to long term plans. But anyone that would listen to them would not be voting in the coming election unless they halve the voting age.
As has been observed countless times, young people tend to be liberal and idealistic. That is true the world over.
Also, politics and class have very little to do with each other (knowing how much a guy makes doesn't tell you his political beliefs) so despite some of the class warfare rhetoric floating around, I'm never shocked by the existence of rich liberals or poor conservatives.
They, like all of Obama's other elitists are seeking anointment and entry to the world of big government approval of who will be allowed to become wealthy. Obama knows that dumbed down Americans demand idols to be thrilled over and to maintain the suppression of young minds idols must be identified, nurtured and rewarded.
The only good news about Disney World.
They are getting FOX News Channel!!!!!
Guess the people who pay the bills have been heard.
Same things can happen to the Jonas brothers when these kids grow up.
You're right about liberalism being rampant, but that's why children have parents to filter through the excrement.
they are brothers who sung some years back, their mean audience age is now 12, they had a series on Disney
did'nt you know underage democrats can vote and it's not voter fraud, 'cause Rev Al Sharpton said so.
What's "really lame" is you trolling Breitbart for Obama when you should be at your Narcotics Anonymous meeting….
"As has been observed countless times, young people tend to be liberal and idealistic."
Liberal progressivism originated from people who had the same mental state as children who think they know better than their parents.
In service to the right cause idealism (liberal or conservative) is a virtue. Its not necessarily a matter of knowing better than one's parents, its being more fired up about the cause and less accepting of the status quo.
Its young activists such as O'Keefe who have struck some of the strongest blows against longstanding liberal institutions (nods towards the secret videos of Acorn, Planned Parenthood and NPR).
I tend to respect idealists even if I disagree with their ideals (provided their methods are reasonable). For example, when I was working in Peshawar, Pakistan (along the border with Afghanistan) I befriended German missionaries who had devoted their lives to helping the poor. They (a married couple) explained that they sought to atone for the Holocaust. I thought they were doing a good thing for an bad reason (people not alive during a crime cannot be guilty of a crime) but we just had to agree to disagree on that and many other things.
So they're entering that awkward "post Disney" phase that crushed Lohan, Miley Cyrus et al. The necessity to establish an adult audience or become rapidly irrelevant. The girls have used sex and drugs, apparently the Jonas Bros are using leftist politics. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.
That is the question Scott. I'm not seeing actual support from the band itself, just a wishlist from BO.
Good luck with that one Kenyan Usurper!
The Jonas Brothers have jumped the shark.
HAHA
True. But I was talking more about what he said about children being "liberal" than about them being idealistic.
Basically, what I meant was this: Conservatism is about rejecting unnecessary change and preserving the things that are worth preserving. In the words of Edmund Burke, "If it is not necessary to change, it is necessary not to change". Conservatism doesn't particularly stress originality, as originality is, by its very nature, dangerous. A new idea or way of thinking is as of yet untested, and possibly wrong. As Burke said, "the individual is foolish, but the species is wise." Conservatism is based in moral traditions, social experience, and the whole body of knowledge left us by our ancestors. Conservatives abandon the rash opinion of the hour in favor of what G. K. Chesterton called "the democracy of the dead" – the considered opinions and beliefs of wise people who died before our time. Conservatism is not against change, but it stresses that all changes should be organic ones, ie, they must be reasonable and should not be in opposition to tradition. Conservatism is about a synergy of the best of past, present and future.
Liberalism, on the other hand, is about rejecting the old for the new, which, metaphorically speaking, generally means trading the gold for the silver, the silver for the bronze, and the bronze for rusted iron. When one forgets that he is but a dwarf standing on the shoulders of giants; one who has reached the heights he is now not by his own doing, but by the work of the great men of old who came before him, he begins to think himself a giant, and those who came before him dwarfs. He becomes arrogant. Like the child who believes that he knows better than his parents, he belittles tradition, and trusts instead in his own rash opinions. That is how liberalism came to be.
Wait a minute…the Jonas Brothers are Obama supporters?
I am confused…
Thought they were 'sposed to be good Christian boys?
The Jonas Brothers won't be much help. their 15 minutes are up no matter how many nominations Mr. Hawkins lists.
Not letting it into your household is a start.
Yes, Christian… but the worst kind, are Christian Lites…. these are the one's Jesus will deny. To support a child sacrificer, a sexual exploiter for activism, replacing Church with Govt…. such as Obama… wow.
You're 100% correct. Have the Rolling Stones killed!
It's the ears; they think he is Mr. Mouse and they have to obey.
And if they are dead and have their graves in Cook County, they can still vote for Obama in 2012.
Mickey, Mickey, Mickey…
What is lame is putting off a decision until after the 2012 election on a pipeline project that had been carefully studied and would put thousands of Americans to work and make us less dependent on Middle Eastern oil.
What is lame is laughing about those shovel-ready jobs that were supposed to be created by an $862 billion stimulus as not being shovel ready.
What is lame is bringing our surge troops home from Afghanistan before the 2012 election even though there is still plenty of time left for them to complete their combat operations there.
What is lame is supporting keeping the Senate open to prevent George Bush from making recess appointments but then turn-around and make your own recess appointment, the Constitution be damned.
What is lame is railing about George Bush, his deficit spending, and raising of the debt limit, and then admit it was all about politics while running up our national debt by a third in less than four years.
What is lame is having Obama's attorney general call his fellow Americans cowards on racial matteras after those same American citizens elected Obama as the first African-American president of the U.S.A.
What is lame is that same attorney general not showing up to the sentencing of individuals involved in voter intimidation at polling stations in Philadelphia because those individuals are members of the New Black Panther Party.
I could go on, but let's see if the other posters here can add to this litany of liberal excess, shall we?
Nice try, Mickey, but stick to your meds next time.
OK. These are kids, still. Do you remember the 1st politician you thought was "cool"? For me, it was JFK. I watched the conventions, (back then they weren't shows), I watched the states vote for candidates. These guys & other young Hollywood ppl went for the 1st black President along w/ hope & change. They aren't looking @ policies, they are looking @ the man. They think he's a nice guy & they don't understand why ppl disagree with him. They will learn as they get older. My last Democratic vote was for Robert Dole. As Americans, we look @ the personality before we see the policies. My 37 yr old son voted for Obama in '08 but his" goal for 2012 is to get rid of Obama". Sometimes learning the difference between personalities & policies takes time. I just wish we had more time & an honest press.
Quick addition:
What is lame is Obama railing against signing statements that Bush did when signing congrssional legislation but now makes his own signing statements, but..
What is dangerous is when Obama ignores congressional intent to not release space-based ballistic missile defense (BMD) data to the Russians to curry their favor.
And that is not lame.
I'm sorry – but they showed up at the Obama White House.
Supporting him or not, they add that element of "coolness" to Obama for the younger crowd.
How very right you are, Ron!
To the Church of Laodicea, Jesus Himself said, "You are lukewarm. Be passionately on fire for me – or the complete opposite, but I don't recognize you as one of my own because you are married to the world."
I think there is a moral compass in all of us.
Growing up as a child in the '70s, I recognized the media's bias in their reporting. (Even as a child, I wondered why one soundbite was offered for the Democrats but the reporter spoke the response by the Republicans – all while my die-hard FDR-living Grandmother sat beside me as we watched Walter Cronkite).
I don't need to repeat history, as you've lived it as well, but I knew, I recognized that the media weren't quite truthful and I saw how people behaved. It wasn't warm and friendly. When Ford left the White House and Carter came in, the country "felt" worse.
The oil embargo, the Iranian hostage crisis, closing bases and downsizing our military – and Carter himself bashing America! It was all wrong! You felt it.
No one told me to dislike Reagan or approve of Reagan (I was too young to vote for him anyway), but the way my aunts and uncles treated my Christian mother whenever Reagan was on the air told me that he would be awesome as our president. So I paid attention.
And you know what? Don't you remember?
From 1980 onward, Reagan wasn't even elected yet – and America was alive and kicking!
There is something positive and upbeat about the genuine Conservative Party. Not the GOP-Blue Bloods, but the actual "All men are created equal" platform of Conservatives. All life should be respected: the unborn, the helpless, the elderly – not just the attractive ones.
Kids know. Kids observe. They are aware of their surroundings.
I knew – and I wasn't a teen until the '80s.
Don't dismiss someone because they're not old enough to vote. Why do you think the Progressive movement wants children in government run programs as early as possible and away from parental instruction? Because kids will learn what they are taught.
