It’s no secret that the term “Separation of Church and State” has been bastardized beyond recognition by today’s post-ACLU era. Of course the toolbags of Hollywood have always done their very best to warp its meaning into something more lop-sided than Gary Busy’s left eye-socket. If Thomas Jefferson had known that his private letter would have been the fulcrum to the arguments of liberal propagandists for centuries to come, I doubt that he would have written it.

Poll after poll, the United States ranks as the most “God-fearing” nation on the planet. Good on us! Whether you believe in God or not, it’s tough to deny the reality of Christian principles being an intricate part of our country’s historical fabric.

One has to ask themselves however, as arguably the last “Christian nation” around, why were our Founders so adamant about keeping the Feds grimy paws out of our churches?

Most of Europe upheld state religions, yet only 52 percent of its citizens maintain a belief in God.

My home province of Quebec force-fed its people their state-enforced brand of Catholicism for years, yet it now enjoys the title of being the single most un-churched population of the industrialized world. Compare these statistics to the well-over 80% of Americans who believe in God and one can’t help but notice a pattern there.

There’s no doubt that the Founding Fathers were deeply spiritual men (and when I say spiritual, I mean in the Judeo-Christian sense, not in the Disney/Pray-to-colors-of-the-wind type silliness). With that being said, could it be that they wanted to separate church and state, in order to PRESERVE the Christian principles that built this country?

Think about it. When has government successfully forced people to do ANYTHING that they didn’t already want to do? From forced “integration” in Detroit, to putting a tax on a morning breakfast beverage, the results have always been disastrous.

A freedom-saturated environment is conducive to the growth of faith in God. I’m guessing that might be why our Founding Fathers were much more “spirit” rather than “letter of the law” Christians like their English counterparts.

You know who else felt the same way… Jesus.

No, really. Jesus was forthright with his whole “I am the way, the truth and the light” deal (heck he was even crucified for it), but ultimately, the man left the decision up to us.

I guess what I’m wondering now is, if the Son of Man never felt the need to force anything down our throat… Where does our government get off thinking that they can?

Americans don’t want universal health care, we’re getting it. We don’t want Cap and Tax, we’re getting it. If freedom has generally bred positive choices, one would have to wonder what comes of statism. Historically, all signs point towards revolution. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that, even though the muskets would be fun to have.

As an even bigger point, I think that the systematic removal of our individual liberties is not only anti-American … it’s Anti-Christian. Ask yourself not only how the Founding Fathers would feel about the current administrations diametric opposition to their original intentions for our country, but what would Jesus think? It sounds gimmicky I’m sure, but when you get to pondering, it can be a real trip.

Of course, whenever I find myself still in doubt I ask: What would Sean Penn do?

The troops aren’t allowed to vindicate themselves, so somebody has to speak up for them. Let me give you a hint; It won’t be Pelosi. These people are doing a WORLD-CLASS job at keeping us safe and GITMO is a big part of that. Of course, there was a lot of footage that I wasn’t allowed to include in the video, but I hope the message still speaks volumes. God bless the troops and the work they do for us!

I know, I know, at first glance, the title may seem like I’m blowing things out of proportion. After all, Fox News is an isolated incident, right? Wrong. This is just another leg in a multi-pronged approach from the Obama administration to stifle dissent. (I just used some big words — which is out of character, I know — but go with me on this one.) Am I the only one who sees this as a wind of attacks looking to ultimately culminate into a “Fairness Doctrine” storm?

“Those forwarding falsehoods against the health care bill” must be reported.

“’Racists’ must be silenced.”

“Opinion journalism masquerading as news” must not be given legitimacy, or equal access.

David Axelrod: “We won’t treat Fox News that way, and you ought not treat them that way.”

This was the administration’s equivalent to the schoolyard bully’s call for a “PILE ON!!”

Now when observed on their own, these incidents would seem inconsequential. When combined, however, one can see a pattern of attack coming from the left that I believe (hopefully, without sounding all crazy and conspiracy theorist-like) will result in the Fairness Doctrine rearing its ugly head again. I spoke about it on “Hannity” a while back, and my opinion has only been reinforced by the most recent relentless (albeit pathetic) attack on the press.

The truth is that this White House does not want to hear ANY voices other than the echo of their own timber. It’s why Obama hasn’t met with Republicans as promised, why they’ve tried to marginalize the Tea Party movement and why they’re attacking Fox News.

This White House, is creating a villain. If they don’t pass their health-care bill, they want to be able to point to the “liars” who spread the “misinformation” that ultimately led to its downfall. Right now, the villain is Fox News. Ultimately however, YOU will be the one who is targeted. Yes folks, in all reality it is “you” who are the “liars.”

Sure, we all know that this administration is systematically attempting to target and silence voices of opposition, but we have to ask ourselves, why?
As approval ratings come in, a realization is becoming painfully clear: Leftists are diametrically opposed to the views of mainstream America. But they can’t change who they are … however, they can change how you perceive them. This is why leftists run as centrists and hide their true identity while conservatives proudly shine a light on what they stand for.

Remember folks, “net neutrality” is just around the corner and the Fairness Doctrine will most likely soon follow. We’ve all got to be aware of what’s being played here. There is some good to come of this: All this fear coming from Washington D.C. means one thing… It means that we’re doing something right. Our voices have become too loud to ignore, and so they’re snapping back. History, however, has taught us that snapping back at the American people…? Not the smartest route.

I genuinely want to know what you folks think. Do you think the backfiring of the White House’s attack on Fox News is a sign of things to come? Do you think they’re going to overplay their hand here and dig their own grave? Did Sean Penn really deserve the Oscar for “Mystic River,” or was it a consolation prize for getting snubbed with “I Am Sam”?

As always, I want to hear from you, because the more we talk, the angrier they get.

Dissent… It’s a good thing.

Firstly let me say, that I love Ben Shapiro. For those who don’t know, Ben is a fellow Big Hollywood contributor, a good friend… And very Jewish. Having worked my whole life with Jews who seemed content with perpetuating the negative “Liberal Hollywood elite” stereotype, I noticed that Ben was extremely different. What is it that separates too many tinseltown Hebrews from their supposed brethren in faith?

For years, anti-Semites have used the argument that “the Jews run Hollywood.” After all, Hollywood is a cesspool of immorality, dishonesty and the mistreatment of your fellow man, so pinning the blame on the entire Jewish people would seem like an airtight case to those with deep-rooted disdain for the people (Jimmy Carter, take notes). The problem is that a lot of people don’t realize that Hollywood-centric Jews (like say, the Weinstein brothers) have very little, if anything in common with their practicing Jewish brothers and sisters. Don’t believe me? Oh, you are so gentile. Let’s take a gander at a few of the major issues.

Social/Moral Issues: Practicing Jews of faith tend to have very strong views in regards to abortion, the sanctity of marriage, etc. They are a very pro-life people and a very pro-family people. If you’ve ever been to a Jewish wedding, you’ll see what serious business it is. When they marry, it’s for real. On the contrary, their Hollywood counterparts seem all too happy to brag about wife numero quatro and condemn those who oppose abortion as “anti-choice.” Many just choose to skip marriage altogether (it’s a dead institution, you know). Who needs marriage when you don’t want kids and you’ve got abortion as a fail-safe?

War: What is it good for, absolutely nothing… Unless of course you’ve read the Old Testament. Moses kicked butt and took names, as did Joshua. Don’t even get me started on David and friends! Contrary to Hollywood’s “war is never the answer” mantra, it would seem that the Lord of Israel definitely sees it as a viable option in the face of evil. Of course, Hollywood as an institution doesn’t believe in good, evil or any of that outdated silliness. After all, how could they justify their own actions of adultery, gluttony and foolish pride, if they were to accept God’s definition of right and wrong?

Attitude Towards Christians: It’s no secret that Hollywood is notoriously anti-Christian. Ask a practicing Jew who their greatest allies are however, and time and time again you’ll get the same answer: Christians. Sure Christians and Jews have some serious fundamental differences when it comes to scripture. We still, however, share the same common values and principles by which we live our lives. See Hollywood, we CAN all get along!

Israel vs. Palestine: To be honest, I’m not even going to touch this one. Hollywood’s notoriously pro-Palestine views would seem to stem from a hatred for any sort of nationalism … even if it were to include Israel. Still, supporting a terrorist organization like Hamas as they continue to slaughter fellow Jewish people just doesn’t make sense to me any way you cut it, so I’m going to refrain from talking out of my rear here. For more insight on this, I would direct you to the studly Ben Shapiro’s work.

In the end, I guess I’m just hoping that folks don’t lump the off-putting “Hollywood Jews” in with the good, decent people of the Jewish faith. I’ve been seeing a lot of anti-Semitism lately from both the left and the far-right (Alex Jones anybody?), and I find it troubling. So the next time you hear one of the Weinstein brothers or Carl Reiner speak and find yourself disgusted, remember that they would have more in common with Sean Penn than with your local Rabbi.

Also, if it came down to Dennis Prager and Sean Penn in a fist fight, I’d bet the house on Prager. That’s just something to think about…

It seems that “MC CrowBar” is in the tank for Obama, though I’ve encountered very few people (both conservative and liberal) who think that Obama is truly deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize. A part of me feels sorry for him, because I don’t think he wanted anything to do with it. That didn’t stop him from accepting it on behalf of “the goals he’s set for America,” though. What a humble chap!

You may be asking… “Really? I know the title is meant to be provocative, but do you REALLY think Europeans are more racist than Americans?”

The correct answer is: Abso-freaking-lutely! Have you ever spent time with French, Irish or Eastern Block folk? The prejudice is often laughably absurd.

Before you go and point the finger, let me state that I am completely aware of the irony in that previous statement (lumping everyone into one category while labeling them “prejudice”). However, since we’re dealing with the mythical “racist redneck” generalization that is frequently tossed at Americans, I’m going to speak of Europe as a whole simply to save time.

Yesterday at my hotel lobby, there were two Russian girls. Upon picking up their car from the valet (who was a black man) they kept asking him if he were the famous Jamie Foxx. Strike that, they TOLD him that he was Jamie Foxx and promptly demanded his picture and autograph.

… The man looked nothing like Jamie Foxx. Floyd Mayweather maybe, but Jamie Foxx he was not. However, to these two Russian babes… The dude was Jamie Foxx.

Now I know what you’re thinking; “Well Steven, that’s just a prejudice bred from ignorance, not one spawned from hatred like that of Americans.” Granted, seeing as there are very few European countries that are as statistically diverse as the United States, you may have a point.

I would encourage you, however, to spend time in Eastern Europe and spend some time with the locals. Notice the segregation, the generally accepted stereotypes and of course, the rampant neo-nazi gangs. Then, saunter on down to the U.K. and observe entire portions of cities that have segregated themselves into entirely Muslim subdivisons. Notice the tension from pure-blooded European nationals and the incredible animosity that divides them.

See, when you follow the “multi-culturalism” philosophy, you unavoidably end up isolating each group of people. When there’s no “melting pot,” there’s no common bond between brethren of different races. It’s a “you’ve your gig going, and I’ve got mine” kind of mentality. That’s no way to live.

Of course, that’s not to say that the U.S.A is without its faults (as Sean Penn will, of course, tell you). From both a historical and pragmatic standpoint, however, Europe is inherently a more racist place. So next time a snooty European calls you a racist, be sure to tell him:

I am rubber, you are glue. What you say bounces off me and sticks to you.

… And then punch him in the racist face.
