NBC's Friday night series “Grimm” is a fantasy show, but for reasons I cannot fathom the program's writers chose to mine that most heinous relic of Mittel-Europa: the story of the seemingly good and kind Jew who is really a demonic creature underneath for last week's...

Why the bashing? The stuff they serve at 7/11 doesn’t really compare to starbucks… non-dairy creamer isn’t milk, and 14 ounces of it doesn’t really seem like a good idea. The mark up on most retail prices is significantly greater than the mark up starbucks charges, yet how many national retail chains, for their lowest level employee, provides part-time earned paid vacation, part-time health care, stock vestement, and a non-poverty level wage? Few.
The most expensive ingredient in your coffee is their healthcare costs. If you can’t afford to provide that make more money. Too cheap, well, as long as you don’t object to wal-mart workers recieving food-stamps and medicare to offset their meager wages and lack of benifits, I guess your world isn’t that small.
Wow the CEO of Starbucks follows machosauce productions!! And contributes in the comments to boot!
Heh heh heh.
Ha! That Starbucks thing is funny. I’ve had the “Do you mean a tall?” question asked to me. I refuse to play the game and pretend to not understand them and say “no, a small is fine.”
Zo, once again you show what a well-informed, thinking mind is capable of. I don’t drink coffee at all so I’ve never even seen the inside of a Starbucks – lucky me! Now even elitist liberals can get a combo meal; at least they are being thriftier with the money they didn’t earn!
Great video again Zo. I wonder if anyone had the same thought as I did, if the military wouldn’t take you because of an unpaid parking ticket doesn’t it kind of prove they’re not as hard up for recruits as the liberals say they are.
Great piece again, Zo. Hey, did anyone else have this thought? If the military didn’t take you because of an unpaid parking ticket, maybe that tired old liberal point that the military is hard up for recruits isn’t true after all.
I have purchased 3 Starhacks coffees in my entire 45 years on this Earth. When I heard that so many thousands of Starbuck’s employees were going to be laid off, I cheered and laughed. I have never in my life wished for the downfall of any company before, especially one who employs so many people. But I’m with Zo, I’ll go to 7/11 and get what I want for about 4 bucks less a pop, and without the attitude! And when I don’t want to do the 7/11 run, I plan to spend the entire 5 bucks I would have spent at Starhacks and head on over to my local diner, and get myself a real breakfast along with coffee is that is served with a smile. I just love to see snooty corporations eat themselves up.
I’m a little wound up here, sorry about that. And it’s not that I’ve had too much coffee. It’s just that a very liberal friend of mine just exclaimed that he thinks the feds are up to no good. When I tried to get him to explain exactly who the “feds” are, he refused to acknowledge that those are the crooks he voted into office. The honeymoon is over a bit sooner than I thought it would be.
Thanks for the great video Zo. Wish I could kick in some bucks for your services, but yesterday my husband agreed to a 20% salary cut (hopefully temporary) so that the business he is working for won’t go under. So now I have to figure out a way to help make up the difference. Looks like I’m getting a second job.
Alonzo channeling Kafka. Awesome.
Just checked out the MachoSauce tees. With all due respect, though the designs are cool, the militant Christian message turns me off. How about something simpler, like an army-T that says “machosauce.com”?
P.S. Re Starbucks – I’m not a basher, I appreciate ‘em. I just wish the interiors were mysteriously dark and smoky, and discouraged from entry kids under like 15. But that world’s long gone.

Tell me about it. I have been paying off an income tax bill since 2004. The last “stimulus” check never made it out of the IRS. Now they are holding my $6 grand refund that was due two weeks ago, to take out the $32 dollars still left on the old bill. How am I supposed to stimulate the economy when the Tax Cheater Geithner’s IRS won’t release MY money?!??!?!?!
Keep telling it, Zo!
And, as a former Starbucks employee, I have to say, I will always buy Starbucks (granted not a Venti Latte)when I can because it’s a corporation that does try to do right by it’s employees by providing access to healthcare for anyone working 20 hours or more. Plus, I like the coffee.
But, variety is the spice of life and the backbone of the free market, so enjoy your caffiene where ever you want. Until Obama tells you when, where and what to drink!
And to think, soon the same people who control the DMV will control your medical care.
P.S. Starbucks-free for 2 years and counting.
You go guy! Starbucks tanked years ago with me, can’t get pass the goddess on the label
