Someone should do a "future documentary" by a starving worker-slave in a government-approved, enviro-friendly labor camp wondering why we all fell for Al Gore's Trojan Horse of Climate Change back in the early 21st century.

Yes they were more dialed in then Hollywood who be bankrupt if it wasn't for most studios now being owned by larger companies. Here's a little news for you when a film fails it doesn't harm the trades people who made it as they have already been paid and are on to the next film. As I've said to you before just because you so something is so doesn't make it that way (this seems to be what you base most of your arguements on). The bottom line which you didn't address is that unlike GM, Hollywood is a business that has become openly hostile to it's consumer base. Really why should you care about the trades people and factory workers? Aren't they the dumb people you despise because your much smarther then them?

<i>"Unlike Hollywood, GM actually did factor in consumer demand."</i>

Yes, CLEARLY a bankrupt maker of cars operating in one of the most car-obsessed nations on the planet could not have been more dialed-in as to what their customers wanted to buy.

In reality, the two examples have no real moral difference... if you go in for that sort of thing. YOU'RE glad when a "liberal" film fails with no regard for all the tradespeople it also harms; these guys are glad to see a pollution-prone car company fail with no regard for the factory-level workers, and so on.

Thank you very much.
The truly sad part of this is that Honda,Toyota and BMW all are useing GM licensed technology. GM has been working with the technology since the Apollo missions. They went to great lengths to make this technology viable and affordable and the "Idiot Savant" in the White House goes and burns it down.

Another fun fact: In the mid 90's when GM had the EV1 (aka Impact) they asked the occupants of the White House (This would be Bubba and The Gorecal)to lend a hand to push the technology and offer tax credits and incentives for people to "Lease" these very expensive cars. The White House turned them down, and with lack luster response (due to the high cost) the car, GM killed it!
Way to save the planet Al.......................

I heard this on Glenn Beck. He test drove one for GM for a length of time and loved it. It's GM's program that was cancelled. My dad went gah gah over this technology long before it came to mainstream attention. (We visited Toyota's Fuel cell testing facility in Davis, California years back. The cars and the technology are amazing! ) I grew up reading Popular Science and Popular Mechanics because of my dad so I've been following this technology for awhile. I was saving up for one--hopefully a domestic one. (Although, we own 3 Japanese vehicles: '91 nissan pickup, and 2- 2003 Civics.) Now I'll just have to save up some extra money so I can buy the fuel cell accord. To say that I'm furious over this decision is to put it mildly. They are as you say brilliant vehicles and to have them crushed by His Stupidness is almost a personal slug in the gut.

Ah Bob having to make sure the masses don't get to uppity? Let me explain the difference of taking some pleasure at Hollywood bombing and GM. Hollywood makes a product that often despises the very consumers it wants to buy it. Unlike Hollywood, GM actually did factor in consumer demand. The very classic examples of Hollywood churning out it's streak of anti-war films that nobody wanted, politics trumped business. I know probably that doesn't gibe with with an elitist like you, after how dare they presume to think know what they want.
