The Irony of that statement is priceless. One does not go into diabetic shock from too much sweets. Diabetic shock is caused by hypoglycemia, or not enough glucose in the blood, i.e. not enough sweets.

But Irony is one of the main tenants of Liberal Philosophy:

1) Emotions trump Logic
2) Worship Hypocrisy
3) Historical Ignorance
4) Self Aggrandizement because of One’s opinions
5) Debate and conduct critical thinking and analysis only with Irony and Sarcasm
