I have found new meaning and entertainment in the arts by rereading the classics. It's more fulfilling, and cheaper, than spending big bucks at the movie mill.
I have always been of the opinion that America takes the lowest form of human skum, the bottom of the barrel, and puts them on movie and television screens as examples of what the rest of us out to strive to be. Who's in charge? WE ARE! Turn your televisions OFF Don't buy the damned movie ticket. Don't allow your kids to do it. Take back your own life! We make these people "STARS" Let's bust those stars! They rely on us! We don't give them what they want. We don't get all starry-eyed when they strut around. Break that town out there. They'll self destruct in no time. Without US, They're NUTHIN"
Well put, Andrew. I can find some celebrities hypocritical of discrimination. Every time I used to work on a Hollywood set, they were the most segregated people I know. Celebrity sits here, Crew sits there. They get to take their kids to a private school, we have to enjoy public. Bla Bla Bla.
As a big videogame fan, that reference to Bioshock was absolutely histerical and I about fell out of my chair laughing at it. The main antagonists in that game also bear a creepy resemblance to people in our government as well.
Lets have "Celebrity History Month" That should help them feel like they're part of society and can start contributing instead of just whining about entitlements.

What's TRULY funny is liberals NEVER admit they are in fact imbecilic enough to argue skin color among a caucus of the blind. Social inequities are based upon actual abilities of the individual and value of that same individual's skill set to the corporate entity. The corporate entity and capitalism are very much indeed color blind. As an employer I want the best individual I can purchase with a salary not merely ANY employee regardless of color and that swings both ways as I will also NOT hire an individual just because he/she looks like me. The better my people, the better my business and the better the performance of the corporate entity that is my business, the better I do personally. Pretty simple stuff if you at all grasp how wealth is generated.

Well you've completely missed FightinSideOfMe's point or you chose to ignore it. He said that racism is still alive in America and affects where certain groups end up on the socioeconomic ladder. Kind of hard to pull yourself up by your bootstraps when you don't have any.
I find it insulting to have to explain why I'm not a racist because someone throws out the word like it's water. It should be insulting to black people because they're being used as political pawns by the left.

I had alot of complaints about BioShock but it was than made up for by the setting, the writting and Andrew Ryan. Without any of these it would of been a slightly below avarge shooter but with them its one of the best games ever produced.
Ryan's speeches aren't going to shape anyones political views as he pretty much attacks EVERYTHING – communism, america after the new deal, religion, facism – but they make for a classic character.

Celebrities are among the most corrupt, disgusting people there are. Rest assured the McKenzie Philllips incest story was fairly par for the course in Hollywood. These people are perverted and not by accident. They are truly malignant.
When you're being told from the time you're born that you don't have any bootstraps, why would you go look for them. Your argument doesn't hold water because of the simple fact that people with no bootstraps come here from other countries by the thousands and are able to succeed, and most don't even speak the language when they get here. Somehow, they manage to find their own bootstraps, they're not handed out based on the color of one's skin. If racism is still alive in America, it's because some black people (Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton et al.) will not let it die.

Celebrities who sell out to the Culture of Death (and are not familiar with Pope John Paul II who preached against it for 26 years to millions around the world who defend the Culture of Life) fall into a deep trap that is like a 1960 studio contract.
There is a third possibility. A little know hepatic malady called chicken livered. Those who don't toe the party line don't get work until and unless they get to big to boycott: Clint Eastwood, Mel Gibson, etc.
We can't do anything about the politics of Hollywood, but we can boycott the films by the biggest loudmouth Lefties (Matt Damon, George Clooney, Sean Penn — you know them) en mass enough to make a difference to the box office take and then when/if a non propaganda film comes out, support it wholeheartedly.
