Hey Toddy. It's going on three days now, and you have yet to back up your claims ["Hey dope, it is a McArthur quote. Before you piss on someone's post toasties"] with even ONE fact in your favor.

If you're honest, you will produce evidence. If you made an honest mistake, fair enough. Just say so. That's what real men do.

At the moment, you're just hiding in hopes that no one will notice your false and fatuous remark. Most Americans prefer provable fact to your sort of fatuity. (You can look it up…)

Well Trenty(aka Little miss SMARMY Pants)- I don't worship SP, she's not even my favorite conservative cabdidate. I do however like her and agree with policy stance enough to know I'd vote for her in the General Election. I'm over the General quote, however, you never proved her wrong, citing as your source a periodical. You never answered my question to you- who do you like as POTUS-BHO? Sorry Hanzy babe, but you — like the other Palin worshippers on this board — continue to avoid this one, simple question.

So, let's try again: the best evidence is that Mrs Palin malquoted and misattributed the retreat/advance remark. Why does this matter? Because it is so laughably typical of everything she does. She is intellectually lazy and incurious. She makes vapid and incoherent 'addresses', and then wonders why only the vapid and incoherent support her.

And then, of course, we have the sad characters on this board who will defend her regardless of her error-riddled commentaries.

She took lessons from Sen Kerry, and supported the Bridge to Nowhere before she opposed it. She bad-mouthed quitters, and then became one. The woman is simply not bright enough to handle the demands of high office. Have you read what her fellow Alaskan and Republican Sen Lisa Murkowski said about her yesterday?

Who do most Americans like? Smart, well-spoken, well-educated human beings who know how to read, to speak our national language, and who earn our respect by virtue of their strong experience, strong character, and inherent capacity to lead.

We note that it has now been over two days, and we're still waiting.

Some of us pointed out that the ever-bright Mrs Palin had mis-quoted General of the Army Douglas MacArthur, and incorrectly attributed to him the "retreat in a different direction" remark.

As has been demonstrated, the earliest-known citation was from TIME Magazine, then a right-wing Luce journal, in 1950. The comments appear to have been made by Major General Oliver P Smith.

A few of the rabid right ranters on this blog shrilled that the facts were wrong, and that Mrs Palin was right. We're still waiting for the evidence, guys. Any evidence from any authoritative source? Any?

Your silence would suggest that you have none. If so, this would be typical of the fact-free zone in which you and Mrs Palin operate. Like her, you're just too lazy to do your research. Care to try again? One more day? We can wait.
