Dreaming Of President Petraeus And An American surge
by Andrew BreitbartThis week’s Washington Times column:
America is in a crisis of its own making.
Not only are we realizing that our banking system and our core infrastructure are broken, and that our primary checks and balances (Congress, the media, etc.) are corrupt, but we are also coming to grips with the fact that we did not inherit our forefathers’ or even our fathers intestinal fortitude.
Signs of our collective weakness emerged after 9/11 when only part of the American population took seriously that we were at war with an evil and motivated enemy determined to destroy our way of life. Since then, al Qaeda has refused to quit despite debilitating losses.
Clearly, our national will is wilting away.
Following the tragic lead of Europe, too many Americans no longer want to engage our external threats head-on. And on the domestic front, we are confronting the economic crisis of our lifetime with the same full-steam-ahead spending-spree mind-set that got us into the mess to begin with.
We say: Let’s create more government dependency, reward the incompetent and print more money.
That’s doubling down on stupidity.
We are a trust-fund nation (picture Tori Spelling in the Lifetime Channel role of her career) whose BMW has run out of gas in the middle of the Mojave Desert after a pointless 115-miles-per-hour joy ride. The credit cards are maxed out. We’re out of cell phone range. And dad, who just got taken by Uncle Bernie Madoff, wouldn’t take the call anyway.
The silent generation, which learned valuable lessons from the Depression and World War II, is not here to guide us through these difficult times. The narcissistic baby boomers, who probably think this song is about them, are now firmly in charge. And that’s the rub.

I'm with you on so much Andrew(everything you do)but that piece sounded like someone defeated and scared.I know this West-Wing stunt double is a sham but he won't last.Read some Stossel stuff,he has a way of de-boiling blood.Hang in there and keep up the good work.
Good article Andrew. I'm glad you've hooked up with the Washington Times — great paper too. The Times is one of the last newspapers that I respect.
Agree with your take on the current tragic drift of the country, but not sure I can accept that Obama's chief failing is a need to be liked, or that this is at the root of his "incompetence." This was Clinton's failing, exemplified by his pandering. Obama doesn't pander so much as lie, brazenly and with a kind of invincible sense of immunity. Anyway, would Obama have ever been able to make the remark about the Special Olympics if being liked was his core drive? And the appeals to Iran we're not so much I think from a need to be liked as perhaps an assumption of American unworthiness to do otherwise. No, I suggest we have something quite unique going on, and at some point a question will percolate up through the dense substrata of our liberal commentariat and be asked: have we actually elected a man with basically bad motives, a man who does not believe in the American experiment as the mainstream of our citizenry and political class have undersood it and perpetuated it, a man whose motives are inconsistent with the American model of economic prosperity — a man of intentional bad faith?
FTA: "The silent generation, which learned valuable lessons from the Depression and World War II, is not here to guide us through these difficult times. The narcissistic baby boomers, who probably think this song is about them, are now firmly in charge. And that’s the rub."
America never relied on generational prowess. At its birth, it relied upon IDEAS. Enough people shouted them, and enough believed the TRUTH of them, and we were born. These are strange times, but I place my full faith and confidence in those ideas, which are written fast in the Declaration and the Constitution. I do not know what will come of these trying times or what form in which we will find ourselves, but I have resolute faith that our incredible ideas will survive. You cannot kill an idea forged in natural truth. Our heritage is liberty, and enough of my fellow country men and women will cling fast and prevail!
Thank you for your courage, Mr Brietbart. Don't lose it!
Raven, it is true: Obama's overriding shortcoming is that he is desperate to be liked, to a fault (e.g., Special Olympics quip). It separates him from other "agents of change" who were prominent over the course of the last century. He wants to eat his cake and keepit, too, as Cervantes would say. For us, this is not a bad thing. Rally round the flag!
I second that. It is our ideas that made us what we are, not some accident of history. It is those ideas that will see us through — the current braindead occupant of the White House notwithstanding!
That's right Andrew – our national will IS wilting away…we now longer have the will to listen to senseless GOP commentaries like yours that do nothing to offer any solutions…except to paint a picture of gloom or force the same old tired losing Republican issues down the throats and up the arses of your same old tired GOP constituency.
It's clear you're not a journalist OR a reporter…but a damn good trust fund baby boomer !
Nobody is impressed or finding any value in your own cute GOP propoganda machine here, disguised as a news aggregate. So curl up in a ball like your patehtic story tells others to do.
Meanwhile, Left – Right – Middle — or for you GOP lingo-suckers, Conservative – Liberal – Moderates
will all be thrilled for you TO NOW GO AWAY ANDY from wherever you came from.
Take your pathetic column that has NOTHING TO DO WITH HOLLYWOOD with you !
"I know this West-Wing stunt double is a sham but he won't last."
How can you be so sure he won't last? Hugo Chavez promised the people of Venezuela the same things our new president is promising us and the masses followed him blindly. The opposition said that he will be voted out the next election, don't worry about it they said. They should have worried about it. He has taken over the media, the oil industry, American corporations and now is taking over the banks.
The universal healthcare system is in disarray. The hospitals where the masses go are out of medicine, in need of equipment, are filthy and have elevators that don't work. Cuba gets oil in exchange for sending Venezuela general practitioners and medical students, not even real doctors. If you drop dead on the street in many places in Venezuela, your body will be stripped and you will lay there for hours before someone comes and picks you up.
Bye Now, why don't you go away…
Wow….your really harshing our mellow brother……….
Yeah, I suddenly feel all depressed and stuff…
Nobody is impressed? Better look at the number of visits this site gets. Hating the GOP has become passe. It simply increases the resolve of the 47 percent of the folks who voted for the other guy, along with the 20 percent who are beginning to wish they had. Obama was supposed to chart a new course, fix everything, in the first hundred days. Maybe finding out he's not Superman is a nice dose of ice water that some of us needed.
When the Chinese invade because we defaulted on our debt to them………
Just remember that it will prob be your local GOP/Conservative propaganda machine
clinging to their guns and God you ask to save your (Call the babysitter, wahbaby,) hind end…..ROTFL
It sounds like Andrew is getting on your last nerve, good! The truth hurts! LOL
I agree, and this is certainly not up for debate. Any careful study of American history, especially of the FDR years, proves it. Anyone out there know that FDR proposed legislation that would limit the maximum income of any American to no more than $25,000? Yes, every dollar above $25,000 would be taxed at 100 percent. Didn't matter if you grossed a million, you only got to keep $25K. Of course, this absurd notion failed, along with his attempt to pack the Supreme Court, and a whole bunch of other wild ideas. Congress was swept of its Democratic majority two years after he was reelected in 1936.
Good artical Andrew. Dead on. As always. Bye Now apparently hasn't had her meds yet. A little hysterical there. Hmmmmm?
Post-11.04.2008, I have become "bipolar" — alternating between hopeful that we will survive this mess, and hopeless we will ever survive. Sometimes I go from one to the other, and back again, several times in the same day.
I have found a lot of times my outlook is affected by what I read, see, and hear. I feel encouraged and hopeful when I read others expressing the same or similar assessments of our current situation. I'm plunged into despair again when I cross paths with a random committed zombie of the Left, and despair of that person ever coming to their senses.
When I'm in the pessimistic place, I hold on to the following thought. I can't control the world around me, but I can control how I respond. And in the final tallying, my response is what will count, will in fact be the *only* thing that will count. As a person of faith, I believe that the final outcome of both the world at large, and the individuals within it, are in God's hands alone.
"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4
I love this country and would hate to see it destroyed by a bunch of idiot yahoos from within and/or misanthropic murderous zealots from without. I believe this country is the greatest nation ever to exist in all of human history. It grieves my heart greatly when the evil, wicked, and lying prevail, and the good, just, and righteous are mocked.
But as a believer, I have to trust that God will save this nation if He sees fit, or will allow it to be destroyed (from within or without) if He sees fit.
"The arrogance of man will be brought low and the pride of men humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day" Isaiah 2:17
It would not be the first time He has raised up or destroyed a nation.
"Only if these decrees vanish from my sight," declares the LORD, "will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me." Jeremiah 31:36
My God is the God of the improbable, the God of the weak over the strong, the God of miracles. The God of David over Goliath.
"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." 1 Corinthians 1:27
Each day and each moment presents a choice. There are only two choices: Yes or No. A choice of whether to fight, or to cede the battle.
"Then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living" Joshua 24:15
And so, I have made my choice.
"Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling"
And so I can rest in peace. Peace both in the choice I have made, and in God's final outcome. Each day is simply an individual testing ground. The final outcome, the victory of good over evil, has already been accomplished for all time.
bye now how dare you come on here and make sense. Don't you see we are trying to feel sorry for our selves.
Narcissist or merely narcissistic? I say narcissist. So does Sam Vaknin, Ph.D., author of Malignant Self Love – Narcissism Revisited.
http://www.globalpolitician.com/25109-barack-obam...
Excellent Andrew, a spot on commentary about our national nightmare. I would still like to know where he came from and who is the true power behind the throne? They are moving too quickly for this all to be just a crazy slapdash plan. This agenda tooks years of planning – the perfect storm of a rubber stamp Congress and an angry electorate.
Things were bad before, but cycles change, and our leaders never took us down such a reckless path. Worse, they don't care. Case-in-point, If the program to cut diasabled vets benefits is to succeed, and make them get their own insurance, what company is going to cover them? And, how are they expected to pay for it? These are heros, that risked it all and this is their reward? Then. he's going to insure every indigent and illegal so they have benefits. It makes no sense, and I agree with you, for the first tme I truly fear for this nation and the shape of things to come.
Yeah, like we believe you're not the same troll as bye now. DFTT
As much as I empathize with your rage and despair, Andrew, now is not the time for freaking out- that will mean that they've WON…!
Now is the time to double down on sheer determination, and expose every single rotten idea, sneaky ploy, or nefarious scheme they try to ram down our throats!
Even Obama and his minions can't destroy this country in the next 3 years 10 months- unless, that is, they have no opposition to thwart them.
Almost HALF the country is against them, and those numbers will grow steadily with each new blunder- so take heart, and concentrate on sticking it to them for all you're worth.
After all, the alternative is to "follow the tragic lead of Europe (a.k.a. Eurabia)", and surrender without a fight, and though I've never met you, I just know that you're NOT that kind of guy.
Holy crap – it's a troll infestation. They were busy trashing one of Gary's old columns last night. We need troll-be-gone by Ronco..
bye now–
Don't choke on that bile.
It would really be refreshing for once to get a liberal entrant who actually presented a cogent argument. Instead we get a steady supply of NEENER!NEENER!NEENER! puerile rants like yours.
My guess is that this is because your ability to actually engage in an intellectual exchange of ideas has atrophied from lack of exercise. When, on KOS or HuffPo, have you ever actually had to come up with a cogent idea of your own that didn't originate from within the echo chamber?
Please come back when you've done your homework.
I would say David Axelrod. He seems to be running several puppets right now, and Obama is the first to strike gold.
Go Now for bye now…

Breitbart/Big Hollywood Rock!
George Soros-funded Marxists, who've been living like a cancer in our country since the 1960's.
Plus a dash of Arab/Islam interests. Bill/Hillary certainly hauled in a lot of cash from them, and I'm sure Obama did too — under the table.
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individual.asp
EXACTLY. Don't just be depressed, DO something! To do nothing is to allow them to win.
Signs that the tide is turning are everywhere. No less than Kathleen Parker (she of the formerly swooning over Obama's handsomeness) is starting to question The One. Rasmussen polls show Obama has only a +4 (Strongly Approve (35) minus Strongly Disapprove (31)), and as of today, more people would vote for a Republican candidate for Congress than a Democrat candidate — after almost 10 years of it being the opposite!
I think the sucess of a site can be measured by the number of trolls it gets – bring them on!
He's such a President of the media, by the media, for the media. He seems to be showing up everywhere now and it's possible people are going to reach a saturation point soon. Obama burnout. Then when his "ratings" tumble, hopefully there will be room for other views to be heard and not scorned.
And as Victor Hugo said, "there is nothing so powerful as an idea whose time has come." We lost the battle, we haven't lost the war.
Yeah, you cannot be sure he won't last, number one. And number two, if he could create this much chaos and ravage our free market with every other word he says in only 60 days, man, oh man, what damage will he wreak over the course of his four years?
What have we done to our country?
And the demagogue smiles and laughs on Leno fulfilling his too-long-missing fix of pure, unadulterated approval, er, no… adoration. Did you see him shine when the audience applauded and laughed at his jokes. Nauseating.
Bush the man stands in stark contrast to this pampered product of leftist affirmative action privilege. The difference is that although the Bushes are privileged, that very privilege is inseparable from a heavy sense of responsibility. The Obama pampered, affirmative action, type of privilege is completely different in that it carries with it an exquisite sense of entitlement rather than responsibility. Therein lies America's dreadful problem.
Me too, I need pie now or something.
Andrew – someone said the other day that it is as if America is bi-polar – another author has said that there are 2 Americas – a "hard" America and a "soft" America Then read (of all people) James Webb's book on the Scots-Irish and how they have traditionally kicked butt first in Ireland and Scotland – now here – only some in America are losing their will – and since the divide seems to be around 50% the fight over America's direction goes on. America will not "go down" without a long, hard fight.
Careful, blueberry will stain your computer. : 0
I've had a rough day so I'm going to break my usual rules here and double down with stupid.
Not willing to offer solutions like the Republican proposed amendments to the spending bill which would have been both cheaper and allowed for people to read it before they actually voted on it? Yeah that was downright silly of them to offer that.
Trust funds ain't what they used to be, in no small thanks to the Democratic regime in DC. Or is that all a myth cooked up by the GOP propaganda machine too?
Telling the guy that runs the site to go away from wherever…okay I can't even comprehend what you're trying to say here. Maybe he should go home? This is his home, whereas your bridge called, they miss you hanging out underneath it. Begone.
Concur
LOL!!
I'll agree with that.
I have great faith in the American people. We don't get it right every time, but we do get it right long term. I understand why they tossed out the Republicans. I don't like it, but I understand it. And I think they'll turn on the democrats and return to the Republicans soon enough. Keep in mind, it's only been about 50 days and already the Obama ship is taking on water at record speed.
Thanks, bye-now, for reminding me why I, a former Independent who voted Democratic in the 3 elections prior to 2008, could no longer accept liberals and their lunacy and failed policies. Oh, and I'm a working class girl to boot. You don't have a lot of us hoodwinked.
Raven, your comment is so thought provoking.
I have been suggesting (even in another comment on this article) that we examine the stark contrast between Bush and that one. Although someone like Bush came from privilege, that along with that privilege is linked a heavy sense of responsibility. Whereas Obama also is extremely privileged. (I am betting that that man has not heard the word "no" too often in his life) Just that the Obama type of privilege is of the pampered, affirmative action type in which responsibility is missing and in its stead the person feels an exquisite sense of entitlement.
But I have to admit that your comment pushes that thought out to its logical consequence. He has been fed leftist props all his life and it's been inextricably linked with his rise that probably had a diversity preference here or there and so on. How would a young man respond who had been raised through such a leftist milieu. It is pretty de rigeur that the far left despises America, what she is and what she stands for and despises Americans. So, you may be right, Raven, America needs to try to identify his motives and not continue to let him pass as a well meaning but green young man.
Yeah, WTH have we done to America?
"Take your pathetic column that has NOTHING TO DO WITH HOLLYWOOD with you !"
Today, politics is all about Hollywood.
Hope you have a better day tomorrow!
I said I needed it, not that I was going to get some. I'm still sticking to my no eating or drinking while on Big Hollywood rule. The dropcloths haven't arrived yet afterall…
Mr Breitbart impresses me immensely. You on the other hand are a liberal toady. I'm sorry that your affirmative- actioned, arrogant narcissist isn't all that you hoped for. We knew better a year ago. You, OTOH cannot relate to reality. Some of the GOP'ers, you so disdain, are the reason he is even there. So, bye now……..
Andrew, I appreciate your ventures into the viper's nest (maher). We need more articulate presentation of fact and reality where they live and in the face of the lies and ridicule. Semper Fi, sir. It is always darkest before the most glorious dawn.
Highly unlikely but thanks for the thought!
And vice versa.
Welcome to our little side of the spectrum. Has anyone told you about the dental plan?
Absolutely!!
If you guys want, I can do a little trolling. . . "ur a stupid jrk, yu haf no polices stink, no one vote for yous."
What do you think, have I captured the raw ignorance?
Yeah you know a site is on the right track when it makes the the leftists' enemies list and they swoop down like a plague of locusts.
Yeah, Andrew. I'm with you on that. I think our host is so right about so much of what he said. One thing that my generation learned, but either avoided or neglected to pass on was the whole concept of American exceptionalism. It's absolute anathema to liberals. So of course I give impromptu extemporaneous lecures on it at every damned opportunity. We can't be too despairing because certain things have happened in Europe, Asia or South America. It doesn't necessarily follow that they will happen here. So long as we are vigilant, and ram it home constantly that we are the last great hope for the free world, that exceptionalism will be prevail. Our constitutional form of government is unique in all the western world among the major powers, and we must never forget that. Our system more directly acts on its own leadership than any of the others. We can institute a government quickly (Obama), and just as quickly dismantle it (ex-Obama).
Glenn! Glenn, is that you? lol
Close but you used 2 comma and a period, and no random caps lock, so that would mark you as a Columbia graduate level troll, so indeed close, but at the high end of the trollish bell curve on intellect.
+1 I fel teh raw incentsabilty
CAP LOCKS GOOD
Hunterbyrd: May I make a slight addition to your thesis? I don't think that Obama is that desperate to be liked. That's more Clintonian. I think that he is desperate to be believed. It would explain his messianic zeal to get people on board while attacking anyone who disagrees with him. His confusion about what he actually believes (or his deviousness about it) is the reason he sputters and dissembles whenever someone asks a hard question about his policies. The teleprompter is such a necessity, because it's the only way he can stay on script, and when that fails him, he becomes the Prime Minister of Ireland.
And do something with no delay. Starting with Clinton, Democrats pretty well have run in campaign mode every day all year long starting the day after elections. BHO is. So far everything he does looks like it's part of a populist campaign. Congressional contests coming in 2 years need conservative candidates to emerge now.
Is it possible Barack is monitoring this site, and then going off-script to write his own posts under a pseudonymous screen ID?
In Lincoln's phrase, The One can fool all of the people only some of the time–he did so in November.
But the last part of the adage is playing out at light speed. 60 days in, and the Hope'N'Change Express is already ready to jump the track. Ol' Chris "Waitress sandwich" Dodd is on his way under the bus now; how much longer before Barney the Lavender Dinosaur follows him? And who's your money on to follow them? Geithner? Biden? Reid? Pelosi? Cheer up!!! We've got ringside seats!
I went to public schools, so the idea of American exceptionalism was nowhere to be found. But I came to understand it because I've been overseas, I've watched their politics and culture, and I have foreign relatives.
What I've discovered is that the values to which the great philosophers ascribed (honor, duty, loyalty, compassion, honesty, charity, responsibility, selflessness, self-improvement, etc.) are practiced every day in this country by average Americans, rich, poor or middle class.
By comparison, people in the rest of the world simply do not live these virtues. They look to the government to solve their problems, they shun responsibility, they lack drive or energy, they dwell on the past. . . they do not dream of a better world. That is why we stand out, and that is why many foreigners don't understand us, and why those that do usually seek to come here.
And that is why I despise the efforts of the left to take away what makes us different.
Saul, you're right. America isn't Eurabia. It isn't even Mexicalifornia. We'll pick ourselves up, stop the analysis paralysis, and get on with the good fight.
with you 100%. I, too, fully understand the Bush fatigue and the overall poor ratings for GOP Congressman in general. They failed and they are continuing to fail. What, We the People, are finally waking up to, is just how dysfunctional and dangerous the Democrat side of the house is. If we do swing back from the edge in '10, and I pray that we do ( I got my gun and my bible, right here, by gum), we need some fresh blood on the GOP side. I don't want most of the recent GOPers back, What is going on now is appproaching Orwellian prose. I hope we have something left to salvage.
Well O'Bama is Irish isn't it?
I agree Lawhawk, I don't think he cares if he's liked or not. In fact I'll go out on a limb here and venture that I don't think he even cares if he's reelected or not. Yes that sounds crazy but hear me out, to my mind it seems that he has an agenda he wants to get pushed through, as quickly as possible, and as long as it's implemented he's fine with one term. He's driven to get his changes through no matter what the consequences for himself, and indirectly even for his party. If he can push through programs that have been languishing on the wish lists of leftists since LBJ's time (even Clinton had his limits on liberalism) within 4 years, with the collusion of the Democrat Congress then he can walk away feeling good about his Presidency and not giving one fig about what he did to the country in the process.
Again, just a vibe I get from him.
They'll try, but in the end they won't succeed. The battle is joined.
It would explain the Blackberry…
I agree and disagree to a point Raven. obama IMO NEEDS to keep himself in the spotlight, that's the only way he can get his egomaniacal fixes. He NEEDS to have people fawn all over him and tell him he's great. The man definitely has some egotistical issues. Perhaps a few trips to a psycho therapist may help but who knows. I think that's the reason he has to keep having press conferences, go on Jay leno etc..He LOVES being in the spotlight. Plus it could be a ruse also to keep everyones mind off of what's REALLY happening in the world.
You know Andrew just coming here and reading posts from people with the same thoughts and ideals is uplifting enough for me. Just when you think that you're alone in your thought process all you have to do is come here and read the postings.
It really does give one hope for the future.
I, too, am a disciple of the great philosophers Tim Allen and Alan Rickman!

Good points Buzz. Let's hope the Republican lead goes "to infinity and beyond"!
I agree with you on the speed of the collapse. It's startling.
I'm not being snide when I say this, but I'm shocked at just how incompetent Obama has shown himself to be. When he ran, I thought he was an above-average, capable politician with a good backing team running against a horrid challenger. I figured he would make a few rookie mistakes, but would otherwise move along smoothly enough to satisfy most people. But then he got elected and I started to notice that he actually lacks political instincts. I won't go down the list, but he's been the embarrassment-a-day President. Tonight's gaff was laughing about the world economy on 60 Minutes — apparently, even his 60 Minutes servophant was shocked.
Moreover, when I've seen him speak, he seems awkward and his grasp on policy is tenuous. Again, I say this as an honest assessment, not being snarky, but he strikes me as being in WAY over his head. I would be really spooked right now if he was my candidate.
You may have a point. And then he could become the number one worst ex-president in history, bumping Carter out of the spot.
Our dental plan has no teeth.
I'm think I may begin kicking off all my letters to politicians with: "By Grabthar's Hammer…" just to see what happens.
Keep in mind, as far as the public is concerned, the Bill Clinton years were pretty good (thanks to the Republicans). Not to mention that a whole generation of voters had not seen democratic policies in practice (it had been 14 years since the Dems had total control), so they had no real basis to recall how bad those policies could be.
Add in the number of Republicans caught up in corruption or deviancy, and the fact that they spent like drunken sailors and regulated like drunken democrats. Combined with Bush never standing up for his policies, the missteps with the war, etc. etc. And you had a receipe for a backlash.
I don't think this means an automatic return to Republican rule, but it's there if we can show the average voter that we have reformed ourselves back to our core principles of smaller government. That will take some work, but I think we're headed in the right direction.
I've always wanted to end my letters with "as foretold by prophecy."
LOL! Great movie!
I've always wanted to end my letters with: "as foretold by prophecy."
Clinton had to thank his lucky stars for Carter, now Carter gets his turn at losing that title, so you'd be correct.
My better half said to me the other day,"This guy is going to make Grant look like the most incorruptible President the US has ever had."
And I had to agree with her, although to be fair to Grant at least his scandals had cool names like Teapot Dome, instead of just a collection of semi-random letters.
Obama is going to start ending his letters with "as foretold by profligacy."
That's why it's so cheap.
Thanks for the tips folks. Think I'll go hit myself in the head with a hammer and then I'll do a little trolling…
Thanks Artboy, it's gonna take me an hour to wipe the beer out of my flat screen……………..damnit, that was my last one…………..
The essence is uncanny
And he also said "you can dress up a pig for a wedding, but it doesn't fool anyone, and it irritates the pig." Has Obama been looking a little irritated of late?
"And a good time was had by all…" — holy cow that's funny! I can see why that wouldn't have gone over too well though.
Rather than the hammer, I find vodka and OJ can produce a similar effect…
LOL! I see that your nap did you well!
Oops. I forgot the basic principle. The market will take care of it.
Not enough, "Uhhh"s and "Ahhh"s and the ever-popular "Ehhh"s…..
And no literary teleprompter, either…
Who knows, maybe Obama's planning on buying a dome? I hear the new head of the NFL players union has connections to Obama…
Hammers have fewer calories… but passing a hammer is a little harder…
Great post, hunter. Good men and women, who see that the times require it, will eventually stand up and say "enough!" It is starting to happen. I only hope the chorus reaches a crescendo in time without being misdirected by the weasels at Rick's Congress Americain. Perhaps, this needed to happen.
Hey! Whadayaknow …….Robert Gibbs posts on this blog. a few more ahhhhhhh's and ummmm's please! I love it when you do that.
I've long felt that Petraeus would be the solution to our leadership deficit in the GOP and the White House, but the BS surplus in Washington politics will repel him from taking the opportunity.
It sure would be nice if he were our guy, though.
LOL! Now that's funny!
really, Here?……..kewl!
Back in my other life as a planning commissioner, we used to get some unintentionally hilarious proposals. Obviously, yours were intentional. If I could go back to some of those weird documents now, I could use today's much more concise "WTF?"
I was gonna pick some up on the way home but Lucienne got the last can. Rats……….
How about a Bio-Dome? Locking him away with Paulie Shore may scare him straight maybe?
Most likely Petraeus has too much baggage. A shame though.
