Leftists are outdated tools. Bush is a patsy; it's the neocons who are evil. Judeo facism, not "Islamfascism" is the ultimate problem that has the US running out of blood and treasure to sacrifice in the middle east, while globalism is destroying our way of life back home.

Please, the neo con position isn't that much "edgier" or less safe! You want to be persecuted to the point of being invisible? Try being a real conservative or paleo con. Do a lot more digging Mickey Rourke-you're right about Sean Penn though.

Rourke has always been a bit off. But, politics aside, he's a pretty cool guy and I like his roles.

I've dug Rourke ever since his role in Lawrence Kasdan's "Body Heat" (1981)doing wet work for William Hurt, and then in Barry Levinson's "Diner" (1982). A very cool actor.

As a conservative, I don't particularly care one way or the other what Rourke's politics (or for that matter, Sean Penn's politics) are; what matters is the movie itself. We make ourselves very unwelcome if we insist on viewing cinema as nothing more than two-hour recruitment infomercials for conservatism. Art before politics.

What a concept! An actor that has a brain and can think for himself and not walk lock-step with the "Bush is to blame for everything wrong in the world" people. Amazing that people can forget the horror of 9/11 so quickly and now wish to invite the terrorists to tea. Bravo Mickey! You are now on my list of people to watch in film!

Happy to see Mickey back. He and Bruce Willis are among the few in Hollywood willing to speak their mind (and we may argue, they are among the few without a poisoned mind).

Hi Des,

While it WAS the correct decision to liberate Iraq and remove a threat to the area from direct military action by Iraq ** as well as removing them from the ranks of those who train, arm, fund, provide safe haven and intelligence to terrorists, there most certainly some errors made.

Some things we should have foreseen and taken action to prevent from happening.
Others there was not way to foresee and so we just and to correct after they occurred.

** (People should remember Iraq had attacked Iran and killed hundreds of thousands of them, had invaded and occupied Kuwait as well as invading and occupying a city in Saudi Arabia.)

One of the many things about ODUMA which piss me off is his refusal to learn the truth about Iraq and his denial of proven facts about Iraq. Like his saying there were no Taliban & Al Qaeda in Iraq when they had been there for AT LEAST least EIGHT months before we started our war of liberation.

Sorry about your bad knees! At least you tried to "Do they Right Thing" and it is not
your fault you were unable to do so. As far as I am concerned, EVERY American who CAN serve and does not is like a parasite.

And while "serving" may not mean in the military, it does mean doing some thing which really helps our country. One example was my dad. After the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor, he tried to enlist and they would not let him as he could do more to win the war as a geologist and mining engineer than he could as a rifleman.

One guy I served with in the 101st Airborne was unable to join the Navy as they said he had a "Bad Heart" and so he ends up being a paratrooper.

And the Marines thought Audie Murphy was too small to be any good. He sure proved them wrong as he was the single most decorated HERO of WWII. IF you have not seen the true movie about him, in which he plays himself, you should see it as I am sure you would like it. It is "To Hell And Back"

Thanks for you time DES!

Saint and others of his ignorant ilk should read this

"America. Wake Up" a speech on terrorism by now retired a Navy Captain
