Wash Times: ‘Triangulating Scarlett Johansson’
by Andrew BreitbartToday’s Washington Times’ column:
This was the year Hollywood finally realized that it couldn’t sell an anti-Iraq war film. It also was the year the mainstream media discovered it couldn’t report that the war on terror had failed.
Countless prime-time hours and untold acres of celluloid and newsprint were wasted demeaning the American mission. Yet, in the end, the heroic warriors destroyed their media adversaries by defeating our true enemies on the battlefield.
Except for the election of an antiwar candidate, 2008 was a great year for the pro-war side and only an economic meltdown could divert attention from this fact.
And even President-elect Barack Obama seems poised to disappoint the zealous anti-warriors who flamed his candidacy. Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates could not have been the “change” Moveon.org believed in, just as soon-to-be Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton – who voted to authorize the Iraq war – isn’t likely what filmmaker Michael Moore had in mind.
Now, however, Mr. Obama – perhaps desirous of being a great wartime president – can do what a Republican president, especially one vilified in Hollywood, could not: sell the war.

Andrew,
Thanks so much for this new project. My leg is all tingly with excitement. and I’ll be a frequent visitor.
THIS is the 1st time I have read something”REALLY POSITIVE”about Our Troops..
THANK YOU!!!!
I Hope the “Celebritites” understand That, “FREEDOM FOR WHICH THE SOLDIER’s FIGHT,and REGRETFULLY SOME DIE FOR”,is the very Freedom the Celebrities SHOULD use to speak their OWN mind ‘TRUTHFULLY”!
I WILL be reading EVERYDAY.
THANK YOU!!!!
Dear People,
What took you so long?

Andrew,
Thank you for taking on the liberal left. The main reason President Bush has been labeled “the worst president in history” is because Hollywood and the new media villified him. I challenge any one of his critics to have done any better job with the things he has had to deal with. I spent 30 years in a military uniform and now have two sons in uniform. We are all proud to offer our own lives to defend the rights of the liberal left and the new media to villify our president and espouse un-American allegations against our leaders while opening the door to socialism and possible Jihad in America. Wake-up America. Andrew and his readers are talking to you!
Andrew, thanks for this site. We need it in a bad way. Your premise that the right needs to win the pop culture war is the unvarnished, obvious truth that has escaped the great minds of the Beltway RINOs who’d rather capitulate and become followers of the One.
You support us, and we must support you.
In reference to your column, however, America has won the war in Iraq, and will shore up the victory in Afghanistan. But, these triumphs are because of G. Walker Bush and despite B. Hussein Obama and his Democratic ilk.
I will link you to my blog and will come here often to highlight stories.
Thanks! This is much needed and long overdue.
Thanks for the site and I hope it truly becomes a vehicle for Hollywood to speak out in support of Conservatives. I have felt extremely snubbed by the liberal snobbishness of Hollywood and I am anxious to feel good about how my beliefs and views are presented and defended in Hollywood. Previously those elitus individuals like Streisand and Madonna have been downright insulting. I really don’t care if they are liberal or not, their stage to the world allows them to dog Conservatives pretty unfairly.
As an actress in Chicago, C(r)ook County, IL I look forward to checking in several times a week. Such a site has long been needed. Thank you Mr. Breitbart.
