What is their motive? The ACLU, Soros, etal. Hate? Insanity? Money? Power?

Problem is with the left is over the past 40 years they've gotten their protesting tactics down pat but like most insurgents they have no idea what to do when they actually win. They have a lot of cool sounding slogans they put on bumper stickers. When they actually try to implement these foolish ideas and it becomes the fiasco it had to be they become flustered and frustrated and lash out at anyone who dares question them. This is our strength we are now the insurgents and as history has shown, former insurgents never do well when they have to fight a new group of insurgents. We have to keep the pressure up and keep letting people know what their doing they'll finish driving themselves off the cliff.

They are not CURRENTLY tasked with keeping the American people in line. When they receive that tasking, we'll see. Some are saying they will not do so. Others? The "Perfumed Princes" will not have any qualms about "just following orders." The esteemed General Powell was one of those "Perfumed Princes."
"Law Enforcement" on the other hand, is currently so tasked. And they have no problems following orders. Prime example – those two fine blacks in Philadelphia who are now walking free in spite of gross election intimidation. "Law Enforcement" sure doesn't seem to have any problem with that. The stench is overwhelming.

So let me get this straight your beef is the American military and law enforcement actually obey the orders of their elected civilian leaders? BTW letting anyone go has nothing to do with the cops that falls under the responsibility of local State's Attorney so you might want to know how things work before you scream about them. The only thing overwhelming is your total illogic, the fact that our military and law enforcement has followed the orders of elected government is one of the reasons this country is the greatest on Earth and not some third world hole were the military decides it doesn't like anyone and kicks them out of office. There are citys in America that are criminal strongholds. The legislature in the state capital are the family members of the drug, gambeling and other profitalble criminal businesses. So in your world the military and law enforcement should disobey orders when they feel like it and overthrow anyone they don't like. What happens when they do that to guy you like? New Orleans was a disaster waiting to happen it was run by a corrupt mayor and comprimised police force of course to you that justifies everything your saying but that is the exception that proves the rule. Why did you think that New Orleans got so much attention? Because it was an excpetion, here in Florida we get hit by Hurricanes all the time and do you hear of anything like that going on? No, that is because law enforcement and the National Guard are doing their job under civilian control.

“Control” is the key word…who will exercise the muscle to command reserve troops when they are sent to a particular state to deal with a hurricane, wildfire or other disaster. The governors see the Pentagon move as a strike at state sovereignty, while the military justifies it as a natural extension of its use of federal forces."
Pigs are pigs, regardless of where they are. "Preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Yeah, right! Bow and scrape, bow and scrape. The military and law enforcement should disobey orders – indeed, they have an OBLIGATION to disobey orders when those orders violate the Constitution. That's what their oath means. And indeed this country has INSISTED that the military DISOBEY ORDERS when those orders are unlawful or unconstitutional, REGARDLESS of who gives those orders.

That's funny Frances and I mean that in a good way. The title works on many levels that I won't go into here but I felt it was a match when I finished the piece a few years ago and I still like it. After all, a vocal minority can have important consequences. In the 60s, the flower children were far from a majority. Yet they made a key difference in the perception and direction of the Vietnam war. This is a fair comparison – and you should take inspiration from it.
People on the Left, take heed. Obama was elected with a mandate. The majority of Americans want health reform. These two points will be historical footnotes if the Democrats fail to simply "get it done".

I was around (young flower child) during the 60's and the 70's on the west side of L.A. and the flower children you speak about were about as much of a minority as the main stream media was back then and is today. Although the way they cry about that mean old FOX, you'd think they were children. By the way, there's a little guy in North Korea who is also in the minority.

The people in the military and law enforcement all care a great deal about this country and they would never fall under a tyrant. One of there greatest things about them is they've stayed apolitical, otherwise America would just be another third world junta. They do this because they know despite it's flaws America's system of goverment works. Someone like Mark really just hates cops and the government no matter whose in charge.
